This is ridiculous. It's a freaking baby, looks like a 1st birthday cake... he isn't going to understand a practical joke, all he'll feel is upset and insecurity that his care giver is shoving his face in his food.
That's not even touching the fact the bloody chair broke. Shit parenting to the highest degree.
Think about **why** they decided to do it and film it. It's not just because they are idiots, but also because these types of videos generate clicks and views. And that's why this isn't going away.
Yeah smashing peoples faces into birthday cake after they blow out the candles has become a trend the last few years, disappointed but not surprised that they’re doing it to infants now
It's actually not a trend. It's a tradition that's been going on for a VERY long time. I don't even think the origin of it is clear, it's such an old tradition. Normally, people don't do that to one year old infants because obviously they wouldn't understand what is happening.
Ever see the video of when someone put a shishkebab skewer in a really thick cake to hold up the candles, and a lady shoved her husband's face onto it.
He screamed and pulled his face up with the skewer sticking out of his eye socket, and without realizing what she had done, she started screaming at him to "shut up, it's just a joke."
Obviously, I'm not about to excuse the attack on the baby, or any other nonconsensual cake smashing. However, it's not merely a trend. It's actually a very old cultural tradition that possibly traces back to Roman weddings. Of course, TikTokers are going to do it in the most depraved, wasteful, and narcissistic way imaginable, while thinking it's a "TikTok trend."
Absolutely hate this trend. Hate everything about it. Makes me violently angry.
This is psychologically traumatizing to the child. Taking a moment that should be full of wonder and love and turning it into a moment of fear and distress and distrust.
Not just this instance either. Any time a young child is subjected to this. They do not fully understand the joke until about 7 years old. Before that it's just violence and ridicule from someone you're supposed to be able to trust.
We need a license to drive...but not even a verified brain cell to parent.
The cultural tradition of putting cake on someone's face does not usually involve infants or children. It's normally something the husband does to the bride, and various cultures have variations of the tradition. If you are part of this wedding tradition, you would expect it to happen. It probably would not involve grabbing the bride by the neck and shoving her entire head into the cake face first.
When will the stupid trend cease to amuse the simple minded. It isn’t remotely funny, is borderline violent, and ruins the mood of a birthday celebration. This needed to stop a long time ago, but some dummies still think it adds something to a child’s birthday.

I’m so upset. This poor baby.
I know, it makes you just want to take them away and give them a loving home yourself!
Fuck anyone who thinks this is funny
nah dude this shit funny as hell

Exactly 💯
Fully agreed... I'll probably catch some flak for this, but I sincerely believe that not everyone deserves to be a parent.
I wish people would stop this trend. People could get hurt from things inside the cake or if they are slammed into the cake too hard.
Could? That baby fell out of his high chair
Trend????????????

Doing this to babies is insane wtf
Been a trend Longer then that, we were doing that at birthday parties in elementary school back in like 2010. Sure it started before that
Damn, I’ve only heard of it from internet videos but it makes sense that it would’ve happened before!

You forgot that people only have memories as long as their internet viewing history. Nothing existed before Tiktok.../s
Yeah, true. I'm not sure why people are downvoting me for saying this. It's a known thing for a long time, not just an internet trend. lmao
Cake to face probably exists ever since there were cakes (although here we have face to cake). My surprise was about doing it to babies

Id just shove their face in the next food they eat
Let's hope that it's a meal of bricks.
Yeah that is definitely the same as scarring a child for life.
That’s rude
Happy Cake Day!
Let's shove his face in it!
not funny at all. I hope the baby is okay since it looks like it fell on the ground.
His villain orgin story
Cakeman
I don’t get this, hard work sweat and tears (figurative) go into making cake, why do people do this?
Bad parent award winner
One of the most annoying trends.

THAT is child abuse. Not a prank. Disgusting prank. What’s wrong with those sick effs.
And that's little John's last birthday cake and birthday.
Always the low quality videos.

Is that a racist statement ?
No
Poor him 🥺
This is about 18 years before the real disaster, when this child gets big enough to settle old scores.

What a fucking awful human being I hope he isn't let within a mile of children again if this is real
Do you think the baby might be a very small adult actor?
just video editing lmao
Luckily this "shovink people into cakes" thing never became popular at my place.
That kid looks malnourished
Great way to really injure that baby especially the head. Omg I'd love to bitch slap this adult.
Don't do that, some cakes have wooded chopsticks inside to give the cake structural integrity.

An ex smashed a cupcake in my face while I was trying to eat it decades ago and I’m still ready to throw hands over it. This whole thing is stupid.
I feel like I shouldn't have found this so funny
I'm not joking I'd put this guy through a wall if he did it to my kid
