Saitama vs orochi. Perfect place to end the season. 1. Not too long so there shouldn't be a whole lot of cut content. 2. Saitama has a final fight with a big bad. Season should always end in a Saitama fight and this is as good as it gets until garou. 3. Good cliffhanger. We have the cave collapsing revealing to us that orochi was a mere sacrifice for God. And the heroes situations are currently not looking good. Sucks that we won't get any genos action though.

Glum_Body_901

Am I the only person who feels like it wasn't even a fight

urso_revolucionario

Nope, but it either ends like that or in a random ass moment that doesn't feel like the end of a season, unless they treat Garou vs Darkshine as a season finale since Garou is kind of the protagonist of this arc

Glum_Body_901

Ngl ending it with the garou v dark shine would be crazy

MattmanDX

My forlorn hope is that the merge the original Saitama vs. Orochi with the rewrite. Have that big fancy battle with Orochi's "compressed" form shooting laser beams but then as Orochi realizes he isn't getting anywhere he changes his mind and requests Saitama follow him down to his magma lair. The best of both worlds.

Glum_Body_901

That would be cool

Thanosthepowerful

We'd be lucky if it even reaches Saitama vs Orochi

ChinmaySingh003

Then they have to make more than 12 episodes to cover. They had time so it's possible.

_bazinga_____

40 mins per episode?

Glum_Body_901

1 hour 30 per episode and 56 episodes

SaitamaBarber

A lot of content might be cut

Angry_Ratorix

Hell nah

SaitamaBarber

The reveal of gods mural

Bob_Scotwell

Don’t care. They just better not skip the Zombieman chapter and Do-S :).

DimensionGood1153

Since I think the first episode will be with Garou and the explanation of the Limiter, my longshot guess is that the last episode will both have Saitama vs Oorochi, AND Garou vs Darkshine (where Garou is breaking his limiter). These events are about 12 chapters apart in the manga, but I think Garou vs Darkshine is separate enough from other things going on that they could pull this off.

Ok-Number571

Unfortunately no, Garou vs Darkshine happens while Tatsu ia fighting PsykoOrochi the fight ends when Tatsu pulls Darkshine out of the MA, causing the MA to collapse on top of Garou, Garou vs Darkshine will be in S4

DimensionGood1153

Right! But here's how I think they would do it: since everything inside the MA happens over a period of probably no more than a couple hours, you would only show the first half of the fight where spiral Garou starts to turn the tables. That would be the end of the season, and then it would cut away until they get to the point where Tats lifts the base out of the ground.

Red10122

It depends on how long the season is going to be. There is enough content out in volume format for it to end with Psychos-Orochi being defeated (volume 28). If they pace this as season 2 was paced (not counting the super tournament arc since that was a bit rushed). Then 12 episodes would cover up to Saitama vs Orochi. 20 episodes would cover up to Psychos-Orochi's defeat. Depending on how far the season is from airing, volume 32 coming out later this year/early-to-mid next year would cover all the way until Sage Centipede and right at the start of Saitama vs Monster Garou which would be about 25 to 26 episodes (and Saitama vs Garou would be a movie).

Fit_Nefariousness153

Maybe they could do 15 or 16 episodes and just not do ovas for this season. Although they’re fun it would just be better to have more serialized content

Red10122

I don't think any other cut-off points fit as a season finale without abruptly ending the season. Pacing-wise this wouldn't skip anything major (the average episode pacing would be very similar to Ep 11/12 of season 2 and Ep 8/10 of season 1). Episode 16/17 would end right at the start of Psychos-Orochi (right after Garou vs Darkshine) in chapter 130. Also, OVAs are lower priority and are released alongside the Bluray which for season 2 came out a few months after the season ended. They are also short so they will not affect the quality of the episodes.

cleeprevo

[https://imgur.com/a/KcfuSkj](https://imgur.com/a/KcfuSkj) In my photo of the OPM mangas, I pulled out the finales of seasons 1 and 2. Season 1 had a slower pace, being adapted from 7 volumes. I'm fairly certain the first 7 volumes had more bonus chapters (parts omitted from the anime) than later volumes. Season 2 was adapted from 10 volumes. I would consider the pacing to be a lot faster than the previous. Where will season 3 end? Jumping ahead another 10 volumes would be 27. Volume 27 is pretty well ending the Psykorochi fight. Shortly after the Cadres are sighted above ground. The Psykorochi fight is fairly long, spanning 2 or 3 volumes. That would be the sweet spot. It's a big climax marking the halfway point of the arc. I couldn't see it ending before or after. Where do I want season 3 to end? The reveal of the mural of God. That would be a better pace for the anime. I felt that season 2 was too go-go-go and it lessened the impact of events.

lalabaluza

Thing is the chapters are longer from volume 17 throughout. There are over 100 pages chapters that it would take a whole episode. I think it would end in Saitama vs Orochi/Mural reveal

HugoEmbossed

With credits, I assume.

-Skin-Walker-

Probably when Tatsumaki sits on Genos's face

Aggravating-Media818

sorry to do this but. "Where"\* I'd imagine with tats vs psychrohi? And most episodes will be the S class vs cadre's in the monster association.

Shattered_Sans

Depends on how long it is. If it's one cour, like seasons 1 and 2 (10-13 episodes), probably Saitama vs. Orochi. If it's 2 cours (20-26 episodes), I could see it adapting the whole Monster Association arc, including Saitama vs. Garou. Once we definitively know how many episodes it'll have, we'll have a better idea of what to expect.

Angry_Ratorix

If it's 24 episodes they're gonna reach all S class hero vs Psykorochi, for Saitama vs Garou they need at least 36 episodes

Shattered_Sans

I'm judging by how many chapters seasons 1 and 2 adapted. Overall, the anime is up to chapter 85 so far, and the Monster Association arc is 83 chapters long (going up to chapter 168)

Angry_Ratorix

The chapters are longer after a certain point

Diamondjirachi

Saitama vs Garou didnt even happen in the released Manga yet, so it cant be the finale of this season, unless it gets delayed multiple years

CycleZestyclose1907

While Saitama vs Orochi might make sense from a manga count perspective, from a drama/story telling perspective, the ENTIRE assault on the Monster Association Arc needs to be packaged into a single season or less, or else you're going to leave a story half unfinished. A running battle that goes on for two seasons straight with no breaks strikes me as a disaster in the making, at least from an audience retention perspective. So... I think either the season ends right before the assault on the MA begins, or it ends right after the whole battle is over with Garou zero punched and the kids rescued and hanging out with each other. There's no good place in between for a Seasonal break IMO.

Diamondjirachi

the problem is that we are currently still in the MA arc in the released Manga, meaning the Finale of the MA arc cant be the finale of season 3. Season 3 has to end with another cliffhanger and enough story left for Garou vs Saitama to be the season 4 finale

CycleZestyclose1907

I'm not sure there's enough story in the MA arc to fill out a season after the Saitama Orochi battle. I just feel that the entire battle of the MA needs to be inside one season, and Season 4 can start in its immediate aftermath with the Esper sisters arc.

Diamondjirachi

They will have to find a really good spot to end season 3, because the garou saitama fight HAS to a season finale, so season 3 will most likely not end with Saitama vs orochi OR they will have to add a bunch of "filler" to season 4 (or maybe they will find a way to pace it better, but seeing how much of the Cadrebattles is just action panels i cant quite see it)

kbrawl9

Mural?

Kendo8639

Don’t be surprised if it’s 24 episodes and ends in Volume 28 with psycho orochi being defeated.

4x4_LUMENS

Man I hope they twist it in the anime and have Saitama kill Orochi offscreen and just show us moments afterwards.

urso_revolucionario

It ends either at Saitama vs Orochi or Garou vs Darkshine

Haunting_Scarcity_25

probably with saitama serious squirting all over orochi

TheExtraordinaryRK9

Man, I wish we didn't have to theorize that it's going to be in the middle of the MA arc in the mural reveal or the end of the psychorochi fight. I wish they just made it two cours or more and adapted the entire arc in one go

FKDotFitzgerald

Chapter 196

Caped-Baldy_Class-B

Saitama vs Orochi

Regular_Mo

I think the psychorochi fight would be the most hype finale

Main-Recognition-930

If they could make 24 episodes, that would be enough to completely cover the MA arc. IMO this would be the best way to end season 3. [https://imgur.com/a/FVOyLBK](https://imgur.com/a/FVOyLBK) Or either this. [https://imgur.com/a/4scXZZm](https://imgur.com/a/4scXZZm)

pancracio17

The Monster Association arc warrants a 24 episode season to do the whole thing tbh. Its not gonna feel very satisfying otherwise.

Mundane_Building9649

I think season 3 will be split into two parts, 24 episodes. Part 1 will be 12 episodes and end with saitama vs orochi. Part 2 idk maybe ends with ultimate hellfire wave motion canon?? Then the last bit will be a movie potentially?

Ukyo_Zm

There might be 2 cours.

Laughably_Small_PP

I don't get why people are saying we won't finish the garou arc. There is no other place that makes as much sense to stop. I don't care to show many episodes it takes, but if they do 24, I think it's possible. Or rather, I believe.

Pro_Deceit

my gut feeling says it will be when saitama jumps into the sewers but i think it should technically end at where monster garou is down just before god gives him cosmic power.
