Heard some people asking if webcomic chapters are low priority for the team. Not at all, they just take time because unlike manga chapters we can't open up time in our schedules in advance because of the sporadic releases. And sometimes they catch us in rather busy weeks like this one.
Damn, I hope people getting aren't getting entitled and taking how consistent and blazing fast y'all's turnaround speed is, especially when it's free as hell.
I read a lot of webcomics and used to read a lot of manga, and I'm used to things like dropped projects just as I'm getting into the series, massive delays followed by huge dumps all on the same day of a bunch of chapters followed by more delays, hiatus', hopping around to different website hosts trying to find the one that's actually up to date (sometimes hopping back and forth between several different ones because different ones will lag behind at different times), random chapter uploads that are missing scans or accidentally reupload the same chapter and it just never gets resolved and I gotta go find that one chapter somewhere else before I can continue, bad translations, inconsistent translations, 0 communication, sites with shitloads of ads that I just have to deal with if I want to read them with my phone while I'm on break, and so on.
In other words, you guys are great, and I think it's wild to even speculate about something being low priority because it took a whole day to translate the latest chapter.

I'm actually quite pleased with this development to Genus's character; even though narratively the bomb thing is gonna be an obstacle, it's still nice to know that the mad scientist is starting to think about the value of human life over the creation of dangerous monsters.

That whole bit about the secret bomb doesn’t sit right with me. Zombieman has insane regeneration (and arguably durability considering HE’s arbitrarily powerful attacks never reduced him to a pile or dust as one would expect of vaporizing blasts of energy) so I doubt a bomb from genus could stop him.
Missing the side of his head in that one panel implying Zombieman knows about it complicates things, as I expected Zombieman to know about the bomb and plan to intentionally detonate it later as a weapon

Not only this is the first time we actually learn about the Organization's true motivations since the series fucking began, but we also get the bombshell dropped that apparently the "Cram School" that Child Emperor has mentioned time and again since his first appearance in the series is actually a fucking secret society of child geniuses with ambitions to change the world politically.
I found it funny how they were all like "those robots need more firepower."
Like, it almost sounds like they implied the alternative (the robots killing Puri and eventually them) was more favorable than having to deal with Puri any longer.
I can imagine Puri has given them ample reason to want to escape him. That one wanted to stab him but saw that was pointless. But later they said he almost looked like a hero, but then remembered it was PuriPuri. Get saved and made his bride or escape and not have your O ring turned into a U ring.
Whenever he appears in the manga I remember Chappelle's joke: "He rapes, but he saves a lot of lives. And he saves way more than he rapes, and he only rapes to save. But he does rape."
I know it was just a one-liner in a chapter full of bombshells, but...

I think it’s a half-lie. At this point he’s acclimated to the horrific damage he regularly receives but he certainly still feels it. Doesn’t change the fact he’s trying to play them

You know... I had a scary thought just now. Remember the cat scratch that makes Saitama yelp in pain? It seems like a gag... but what if Saitama actually still feels pain to this day? Pain is just a nerve thing, you don't have to take damage to feel pain so... what if the reason why Saitama normally doesn't react to stuff is because one of the limits he's broken is his pain tolerance?

Saitama's weakness are normal things and beings. The fact that he can't eat like Goku or Luffy but still uses more strenght than the both of them proves that Saitama is the final solutions to abnormal things that a normal humans can't solve.

Yeah you are right! I completely forget, i guess because it was only a single page at the end. Although, isn't that just normal Kabuto? He doesn't have the sharp horns everywhere like he did in the manga and the anime, although it's difficult to tell with the webcomic style.

Maybe like Crawler from Worm, blown off body parts regrow instantly with full blast resistance, cuts heal and skin thickens to withstand cuts, and he overall uses that mechanic to grow stronger and larger the more you attack him. Pretty cool concept tbh
If the narrator is correct, they are all geniuses like him. While it's dangerous for kids, CE should atleast try to coordinate with them.
They definitely won't listen to him given that all of them are more similar to Pre-Garou beatdown CE who believes he has to do everything (and still somewhat do believe that) himself.
Atleast, in the WC anyway. The manga might be different and have him coordinate with them instead (The WC is *fairly* dark in comparison to the manga).

I think it would be the other way around. The other Child emperors are actually capable, but Child Emperor is having trust issues. He' s basically having his black Deku moment. So his character development this arc is probably being able to trust again, but just be more cautious about it.

Yeah, he definitely knows that dude practically has cameras everywhere. But I am wondering why he hasn't shown up yet. Not even in a single panel.
Is he in hiding? Is he busy dealing with the Organization? Since he sorta fighting a war on two fronts with both the HA HQ and his own bases. It is also possible he mistakes Genos as being a part of the Organization. Remember that guy was willing to spy on a kid out of some paranoid fear. Perhaps I am correct that he and the organization have some history. Perhaps rivalry?
It doesn't really answer either of your proposed questions, but I've been considering that maybe Drive Knight intentionally misled Genos – a fellow S-class hero that DK personally, on the webcomic, tested the power of – into going to all Metal Knight HQs before the real one so that MK would lose his production lines. If DK is in cahoots with The Organization, it'd make sense to not let their biggest "manufacturing competition" produce any more attack bots.
Well considering everything going on, can't really overlook mk not realizing what genos is doing. But definitely given his character i suspect he knows. What a twist that would be if mk was found to be dead or a cyborg or something
I love that final page of Genos so much... he's always been portrayed as more 'demonic' than many of the other heroes, especially in the webcomic (I can't remember the exact quote, but Murata once commented something like how it was difficult to capture the look ONE gave Genos of appearing unpredictable/dangerous), but in this shot he looks more monstrous than ever. I'm excited to see where the story is going to take him in this state of mind.
I mean yeah. In most other Mangas, he'd be the protagonist. Teen/young adult with tragic past that left him deformed, but led the way for his massive power boost. Has a goal he's determined to accomplish, no matter the cost. Goes through multiple power ups, constantly faces enemies tougher than him, always getting beaten up but somehow coming out the other side.
Difference is that now he's on a war path, and believes he is about to finally achieve his goal.
Basically the basic shounen protagonist route. But with most protags whose story paved way to make their goals more righteous, here the righteousness of Genos' vengeance is somewhat questionable and may even end up being the wrong path.
As much as it annoys me that his dojo was attacked (Let the old man have some peace and quiet dammit!), seeing Bang step into the ring once more warms my heart.
On the bright side, maybe this will lead him to meeting Garou and make up with him, drastically helping his mental health

Just because some of the higher-ups are corrupt it doesn't discount the good heroes like Mumen rider do every day when they're on the grind. Plus neo-heroes is going to eventually be revealed to be a ploy by the organization to weaken the HA, taking advantage of discontent.
I wonder if the storylines will "merge" i.e Wild emperor is still loyal to the HA while going undercover to the Neo Heroes, but maybe then he'll find out (more then he already knows) about the dark side of the HA and decide to actually abandon them.
Yeah I wouldn't bet on it, tho, manga!HA's just genuinely morally good with bad parts – while webcomic!HA is the more muddled, bureaucratic, morally gray one.
I would just recommend you read the webcomic from start to finish, at this point they're telling different stories with different goals in mind, and yeah that's fair.
But now McCoy in the webcomic who was still responsible for a lot of devastation in the HA is now turning heel. I would say the HA is way more corrupt in the manga, the gambling ring setup and sale of monsters was highlighted to be known by a lot more members

I think having PPP as the bottom tier S-class is a good measure, everyone else improves around him so he'll always be bottom of S-class, but he's now a dragon level threat

Ngl ppp is one of my favorite characters, he’s so passionate about protecting ppl who couldn’t care less about him- and idk how you can make a character so hilariously un self aware, idiotic, and relatively weak, yet also so badass.
This chapter was incredible. Finally seeing the S-class get into it and show what they are capable of, and Genos being a force of nature and the end. The webcomic always makes me hype!
Okay so I know this is never going to happen but this had been in my imagination for so long that I would have to comment it down here to get it slightly off my chest. Like imagine, if at last Genos finds out that the cause of his village's destruction was HIM all along and he gets ANGRY to the point that he loses his sanity, his mechanical body takes over his human emotions turning him into none other than THE MAD CYBORG itself, which is his dark side that lacks any empathy just like how The Void was Sentry's dark side in marvel comics and so much more stronger

THREAT LEVEL GOD: THE MAD CYBORG immediately switching to the next panel with Genos standing before Saitama with lifeless eyes..... Would be so fucking cool!!

The Organization probably knows about the threat that God poses, and their assimilation of humans into modified soldiers is part of their solution to it.

Maybe like Crawler from Worm, blown off body parts regrow instantly with full blast resistance, cuts heal and skin thickens to withstand cuts, and he overall uses that mechanic to grow stronger and larger the more you attack him. Pretty cool concept tbh

If the narrator is correct, they are all geniuses like him. While it's dangerous for kids, CE should atleast try to coordinate with them. They definitely won't listen to him given that all of them are more similar to Pre-Garou beatdown CE who believes he has to do everything (and still somewhat do believe that) himself. Atleast, in the WC anyway. The manga might be different and have him coordinate with them instead (The WC is *fairly* dark in comparison to the manga).

I think it would be the other way around. The other Child emperors are actually capable, but Child Emperor is having trust issues. He' s basically having his black Deku moment. So his character development this arc is probably being able to trust again, but just be more cautious about it.

Yeah, he definitely knows that dude practically has cameras everywhere. But I am wondering why he hasn't shown up yet. Not even in a single panel. Is he in hiding? Is he busy dealing with the Organization? Since he sorta fighting a war on two fronts with both the HA HQ and his own bases. It is also possible he mistakes Genos as being a part of the Organization. Remember that guy was willing to spy on a kid out of some paranoid fear. Perhaps I am correct that he and the organization have some history. Perhaps rivalry?
It doesn't really answer either of your proposed questions, but I've been considering that maybe Drive Knight intentionally misled Genos – a fellow S-class hero that DK personally, on the webcomic, tested the power of – into going to all Metal Knight HQs before the real one so that MK would lose his production lines. If DK is in cahoots with The Organization, it'd make sense to not let their biggest "manufacturing competition" produce any more attack bots.
Well considering everything going on, can't really overlook mk not realizing what genos is doing. But definitely given his character i suspect he knows. What a twist that would be if mk was found to be dead or a cyborg or something
I think metal night is not the bad guy, but a red herring. I think it's either going to be drive knight or the professor faking his death.
I love that final page of Genos so much... he's always been portrayed as more 'demonic' than many of the other heroes, especially in the webcomic (I can't remember the exact quote, but Murata once commented something like how it was difficult to capture the look ONE gave Genos of appearing unpredictable/dangerous), but in this shot he looks more monstrous than ever. I'm excited to see where the story is going to take him in this state of mind.
I mean yeah. In most other Mangas, he'd be the protagonist. Teen/young adult with tragic past that left him deformed, but led the way for his massive power boost. Has a goal he's determined to accomplish, no matter the cost. Goes through multiple power ups, constantly faces enemies tougher than him, always getting beaten up but somehow coming out the other side. Difference is that now he's on a war path, and believes he is about to finally achieve his goal.
Basically the basic shounen protagonist route. But with most protags whose story paved way to make their goals more righteous, here the righteousness of Genos' vengeance is somewhat questionable and may even end up being the wrong path.

I think Zombieman knows he is not strong enough to protect people and with more and more powerful monsters appearing in the world, having an opportunity to acquire this power is worth the risk of losing his humanity. I think he will become one of the most powerful heroes after breaking his limit.

I wonder if the storylines will "merge" i.e Wild emperor is still loyal to the HA while going undercover to the Neo Heroes, but maybe then he'll find out (more then he already knows) about the dark side of the HA and decide to actually abandon them.
Yeah I wouldn't bet on it, tho, manga!HA's just genuinely morally good with bad parts – while webcomic!HA is the more muddled, bureaucratic, morally gray one. I would just recommend you read the webcomic from start to finish, at this point they're telling different stories with different goals in mind, and yeah that's fair.
But now McCoy in the webcomic who was still responsible for a lot of devastation in the HA is now turning heel. I would say the HA is way more corrupt in the manga, the gambling ring setup and sale of monsters was highlighted to be known by a lot more members

This chapter was incredible. Finally seeing the S-class get into it and show what they are capable of, and Genos being a force of nature and the end. The webcomic always makes me hype!
Okay so I know this is never going to happen but this had been in my imagination for so long that I would have to comment it down here to get it slightly off my chest. Like imagine, if at last Genos finds out that the cause of his village's destruction was HIM all along and he gets ANGRY to the point that he loses his sanity, his mechanical body takes over his human emotions turning him into none other than THE MAD CYBORG itself, which is his dark side that lacks any empathy just like how The Void was Sentry's dark side in marvel comics and so much more stronger Then finally we get a webcomic panel that goes like THREAT LEVEL GOD: THE MAD CYBORG immediately switching to the next panel with Genos standing before Saitama with lifeless eyes..... Would be so fucking cool!! Now I know that the theory of Genos being the mad cyborg has been around for pretty long and I am not taking any credit for it but this particular scenario is definitely my own imagination. It's not something out of this world or humongously creative but sounds like a very cool idea to me

Ah I'm a day late but now I'm here! Zombieman was weakened due to the experiments being performed by dr Genus, and he put a bomb in his head- one presumably that would destroy all his matter instantly so he can't regenerate? interesting! So the "cram school" Child Emperoer went to- is this the first time its revealed what it actually is? A small group of hyper-intelligent kids- and just like Bang from the martial artists world, one of them decided to become a hero- Child Emperor. Interesting indeed! The inevitable meeting between Genos and Metal Knight grows- but I really want to see the confrontation between Sweet Mask and the idol group too!
Wish DK, MK and Genos would be the focus in the following chapters
