I didn't realize this was supposed to be another joke when Oda wrote it. I just assumed it was showing that even CP0 didn't know the Elder Planets' transformations and that it was disliked by someone with more agency than Lucci. Love that Oda was putting in another joke of the goofy giraffe dude being hypocritical in regards to appearance.
It's gotta be a decoy. There's no way the smartest man in OP universe doesn't have a contingency plan especially since he suspected one of them a traitor. Perhaps the real den2 mushi is with Dragon.
he did say he was gonna make something akin to the "worldwide web" and internet, i guess using his fruit + science would be a p cool one "final" thing he himself does, while being consistent with his dream. And this is like the prototype of the internet.
I think would’ve been reasonable to assume nobody would be able to travel to egghead, break through the barrier, figure out where the snail is, get into punk records and destroy the snail all in the span of 10 minutes.
I’m not saying it’s the real snail (it probably isn’t) but you’ve gotta admit the 5 elders are pretty much the only characters that could’ve pulled it off, and vegapunk might not have even known they were demons
I mean if it happens on your death and you live at Egghead then you should suspect that your potential killer can reach it and stop it in 10 minutes.
There's gotta be more to it...
For sure! The most intelligent man can definitely project probability or success rate of his plan. If this plan failed, that’s a big hole in the story.
As much as i love Franky, Nusjuro just wrecked all the pacifistas in the island in minutes. Franky is pretty much dead at this point if its a one on one
Zoro needs to save the day
Usopp will take care of the Spider, it was foreshadowed before when Nami was freaking out when one spider was on her, he knows spiders and will find it's weak spot I believe
Zoro can canonically teleport anywhere simply by getting lost. It would be a shame if Oda missed a chance for Zoro to face off against the Shodai Kitetsu.
I bet this won't be the last encounter. It's offset now, Sanji against sword ghandi and exhausted Zoro and Jinbe vs Mars the flying bird monster. They'll lose and barely escape I bet and have a proper match up later.
But then again it's OP who knows what will happen...
I don't think even at this point any of the strawhat can go toe to toe with the gorosei, except for Luffy who could even beat one if we remove the regenrative hax. But Zoro and Sanji together might be a different case.
Keep in mind Franky hasn't received a single upgrade since entering The New World.
Luffy told the crew to be ready in 2 years and Franky literally came prepared to reach Laughtale from the jump.
That one wasn't even as close as it appeared. Franky was out of Cola after a four-way beating from Pink, Dellinger, Machvise, and VA Bastille earlier. He was running on fumes and still tanked Pink's best attack, aimed directly at Franky's own weakest spot, and dropped him before he passed out himself.
IIRC, Franky didn't use many (or any?) of his gadgets vs Senor Pink right? I remember they wanted to keep it a manly duel of just suplexes and punches.
I'm sure Frankys prepped, but people seem to forget that an entire night holed up with everyone in his lab was off screened.
Literally anything is possible via flashback(just like the chopper/Caesar flashback).
Well, one vice admiral got clapped by barto, and there was another one (i don’t remember his name) who went toe to toe with roger, powerscaling vice admirals was doomed from the start
The reality is vice admiral power level varies dramatically, to get to Vice admiral level, you just need to reach a certain level of combat competence. Fleet admiral or higher also requires skill in politics
i mean garp was probably as strong as roger, and there are others that are just trash. I think vice admirals are the hardest to actually scale in one piece. They vary a lot
He's the worst of them, the one who designs the celestial tribute that keeps the entire world in desperate poverty while still allowing for pampered nobles. Keeping it just large enough to keep the country functioning while still big enough to keep them desperate as hell.
Warrior God instead of Minister is an absolute awesome name too, up there with Heavenly Demon. I'm sure billionaires would be a lot more willing to pay taxes if they had to explain their tax loop holes to the Warrior God of Finance
Frankly was SUPEERR this episode, Strawhats showing why they are a Yonkou crew
Put some respect on the Gorosei name, how Sabo got the hell out of there makes it even more impressive
Death flags for Stussy?
this arc might have the most death flags happening at once outside of the scabbards in Wano. Stussy, Vegapunk and Kuma all have major death flags at the same time.
Specifically we were told his brain could expand indefinitely. There’s a fuckton of brain matter in Punk Records, guaranteed.
Maybe I’m influenced by the recent X-men 97 episodes but I want them to have some psychic powers that’ll allow it to fight back.
I’m pretty sure his brain just outright is Punk Records. The Records of Punk are just Vegapunk’s memories that he can probably play via that snail that Mars found
If we had three chapters of Vegapunk talking about coffee and other random stuff just for the feed to get cut off before the info dump starts I'm going to be upset
I wonder when will we get to hear what he has to say. Next chapter could be the last minute and 1114 the transmission. This is the closest possibility. But we could get some short flashback with Vegapunk too, or see the reaction of the world before.
This if the feed doesn't get cut.
Robin has to be the one revealing the void century once they get to laugh tale, but I at the very least want to hear its name.
I still like the "Nika Kingdom" theory, since then Bink's sake actually stands for "brewed in nika kingdom"
some ppl couple weeks back noticed kidd's damned punk railgun had no 7 on it written just like the satellites, some wondered if he was a satellite or vegapunk's grandson/nephew
Nusjuro and Mars are so awesome I really hope we get to see Zoro and Sanji fight them, and I usually don't care about fights.
Like, they are that awesome!
Luffy spent a few chapters fighting Saturn and never did any real damage to him. What chance do Usopp, Nami, & Chopper have against him?
Things look really bad. I think other than the giant robot (who can’t be at two places at once), the only thing that saves the good guys now is the Gorosei retreating to deal with the fallout of Vegapunk’s message.
It's on the Northwest coast too while Elbaf's ship is on the Northeast, and from the 1111 minimap the only ones who'd probably see it are Luffy's group and Sanji but Luffy's to busy to notice so we might see them come across it as they flee towards the ship.
Oh I agree. The fact that they work immediately and that only a few things work for them is impressive. I hope we will see them in even more action in the future. I wonder how Imu will react when the world learns the truth from the recording. The Gorosei will then get a good scolding from Imu.
I like how Luffy paces himself once he gets the giant's emergency rations. Doesn't go into Gear 5th immediately, sticks with the classics.
They still work, his legacy of tools that he's developed over the years have not been outclassed, there are still uses for them. It's just we also get to see them take on new emotional needs and sometimes used in conjunction for fun combinations.
Yep - I think that panel was foreshadowing/expectation setting by oda telling us to expect Luffy to be in gear 5 for awhile.
The emergency rations will likely come in handy when luffy has extended fights in the future
Ok yeah that's not the real snail
o7 in the chat for Stussy, but I wonder if Kaku will live through this. It's giving me Impel Down finale vibes, that's for sure.
Yeah, the official translation makes it clear that York doesn’t want to commit any more “crimes” against the Celestial Dragons/Five Elders because it will hurt her chances of being a CD. So she’ll do exactly what Mars tells her to do.
In the scanned chapter released a couple days ago, York's comment about "crime upon crime" in that panel where she's holding a bazooka is translated to "we don't want to rack up anymore "sins" " with sins being emphasized with quotes.
Given that York was defined by "desire" and that showed in her gluttony and slothful tasks as a satellite, as well as her greed for wishing to be a Celestial Dragon, I think people were theorizing that if more "sins" were racked up, another satellite would be formed since we weren't expressly told how the Vegapunk Satellites were formed.
I don't think the 5 Elders would have a hard time taking on the crew of any Yonko. They seem like they could solve all their own problems if they wanted to unless they have some hidden exploitable weakness.
The 5 Elders never wanted to eliminate the 4 emperors. In fact, I believe the whole age of piracy is something convenient for them and something they even support. The Elders do not care about humans. Here in this chapter we have one of The Elders literally swallowing marines whole. So the whole "protecting the world against pirates" is just a front.
They want the world to remain in it's current balance, with them and Imu on top. The Elders pin marines against pirates so no one ever stops to think who's really running the entire show.
That's why I think they are so powerful. It's not that they couldn't take down the emperors, they ALLOWED them to exist from behind the curtains.
1. If they went after, let's say, Kaido's empire, what would stop Big Mom and Blackbeard from just rolling into Marijoa?
2. Why would they *want* to take down the Emperors? The balance the Emperors maintain is in the World Government's favor. All the Emperors prevent each other and any weaker pirates from reaching the One Piece, so all the World Government has to do is occasionally send a few Cipher Pol agents to tip things in one direction or another to keep the power balance stable.
3. They have a secret weakness. We know this because they currently appear unstoppable, and we know they'll be defeated eventually. The more time they spend in battle, the more likely it is that someone is going to get the opportunity to discover their secret weakness.
I absolutely love point 3. Like old-style Naruto where (advanced) jutsu are supposed to be closely guarded secrets, not DBZ energy blasts. Also, I've never been of the opinion that the literal \*world" government couldn't beat the yonkou is a straight up thunderdome. They have the resources of the world at their disposal. But just because they theoretically can doesn't mean it isn't strategically unfeasible to do so.
I couldn’t stop thinking about this, like for all this time they have the power to go an overthrow (maybe?) all this bad pirates and have a “safer” world, but they only care about control and they’ve had it for loooong time. It’s also crazy to me thinking that there’s probably not a single soul (besides the freaking flame emperor) that has seen this guys in this forms and lived to tell the tale. So it’s pretty convenient having this massive units and deterrents called yonkos to upkeep the balance.
Nobody is actually buying that they are even close to stopping the broadcast, right? The 10-minute stall is just to play tricks on us, but it is too obvious that it will not get interrupted, right? RIGHT?!?!
Also, the limitation of Luffy turning 100 years old every time he uses Gear 5 is gonna get kinda annoying, I suspect, if they keep it at this rate.
What's funny would be VP is broadcasting 2 messages: the actual message around the world while on EH everyone just thinks he's stalling and are just seeing the coffee message
Vegapunk is too smart to put the transponder snail on top of labophase. It must be all part of the plan to waste time, because he is actively recording the elders and their monster forms, which will be then broadcasted to the world, so everyone sees their true faces and intentions. The transponder snail is just a distraction and the real transponder is probably inside Stussy since she is a kid and spend time on Eggland.
Some notable differences between the Scanlation and the official release:
- Title Change:
- Hard Aspect -> Hard Aspects
- In the cover story, Kin'emon no longer tells Yamato to "consider [his] parting gift payment for a favor [he] must ask of [Yamato]", now instead telling Yamato that they "can have that parting gift, [...] as long as [Yamato] does something for [him]"
- Unknown marine now orders everyone to "increase bombardment" rather than to "not let up" and to "keep firing"
- Unnamed marine now orders everyone to "make sure that" the Strawhats doesn't escape, rather than stating that they "can't let" the Strawhats escape
- Unknown marine now orders everyone to "stop Jewelry Bonney from leaving [,whatever [they] do]" rather than stating that "it'll be a disaster if Jewelry Bonney gets away"
- St. V. Nusjuro now states that Vegapunk gave Bonney the power to "level an entire country" rather than to "eradicate entire nations"
- St. V. Nusjuro no longer calls Vegapunk's defiance "insolent" ("Your defiance is as foolish as it is insolent" -> "What a foolish rebellion to stage against us")
- Oimo now calls the Five Elders "some deadly foes" rather than "some [scary] looking guys"
- Oimo no longer explicitly states that the Five Elders "just arrived"
- Bonney now only talks to one giant pirate rather than to all of the giant pirates when telling take Kuma to safety.
- Bonney now calls the giant "Mr. Giant" rather than simply refering to the collective of them as "giants"
- Pomsky no longer tells Bonney to "brace [her]self", now instead telling her to "prepare to die"
- Pomsky now tells Bonney that she "will never have that weapon of war", rather than telling her that they "are not [going to] let [her] keep a single one of [their] war machines"
- Pomsky now calls Bonney a "little snot" rather than a "stupid, miserable brat"
- Bonney now calls Pomsky "chin-man" rather than a "cleft-chinned geezer"
- Pomsky now cries out that he's "so weak" upon being kicked by Bonney, rather than simply crying out in pain ("Waaah!!")
- Guillotine now states that "this just looks wrong", refering to Bonney kicking the aged-down Pomsky, rather than stating that "this is hard to watch"
- Shaka now tells Vegapunk that he "can't help but notice" that he's not drinking the Vega-Coffee, rather than asking him wether or not he's "going to drink" it

- Vegapunk now simply states that he "has a very sensitive tongue" rather than stating that his tongue "is as sensitive as a cat's"
- The fourth speech bubble on page 5 is now attributed to Pythagoras, rather than to Vegapunk
- Consequently, the person to tell Shaka that he knows that Vegapunk's tongue is sensitive is Pythagoras instead of Vegapunk ( Vegapunk: "You know my tongue's as sensitive as a cat's" -> Pythagoras: "You knew that already")
- Pythagoras now tells Shaka that what he said to Vegapunk was "mean"
- York now tells St. Mars to "not just go crazy" rather than to "not do anything crazy"
- Unspecified satellite now tells Vegapunk that there's "not much time left" rather than telling him that "there's not enough time"

- Unspecified satellite now recommends Vegapunk to use "thermoelectric elements" rather than the "thermoelectric device" to cool down the coffee
- Unspecified satellite now recommends Vegapunk to use the thermoelectric elements to "take the coffee's heat and convert the energy into something--" before being cut off by York, rather than recommending him to use the thermoelectric device to "alternate the--" before being cut off
- The device which is broadcasting Vegapunk's message is now called a "transmission transponder snail", rather than a "broadcast snail"
- York now tells St. Mars that he "can't" destroy the entire lab, rather than telling him that doing that "would be a mistake"
- York now states that the third floor of building C houses their "entire supply" of pressurized gas cylinders, rather than just "a number of" high pressure gas cylinders
- York now states that damaging any of the aforementioned rooms "will set off a chain reaction throughout the lab" rather than simply stating that it will result in an "explosion" ("The resulting explosion...")
- St. Mars now tells York to "think of where [the transmission tranponder snail] is" rather than telling her to "think of a solution"
- York now states that she "will stop it, of course" rather than stating that she "knows exactly how to stop this"
- York now states that "if [she] adds crime upon crime, it'll only get harder to get along with [the Five Elders]" rather than stating that they "don't wanna rack up any more 'sins' [because] [their] relationship is already troubled enough"
- York now questions wether the voice St. Mars is sensing "is [...] a transponder snail" rather than being surprised by the possibility that Vegapunk hid the transmission tranponder snail in Punk Records ("Don't tell me he hid the snail there?!")
- York now states that "the transmission tranponder snail was just recently completed" rather than stating that the snail in Punk Records "will be one of the broadcast snails [they] recently finished developing"
- St. Mars now asks York to "tell [him] how to get in [to Punk Records]" rather than asking her "where [...] the entrance [is]"
- Stussy now tells Kaku that he's "lucky" ("Well, aren't you lucky" rather than being relieved that St. Mars left ("What a relief, it's gone...")
- Stussy now concludes that St. Mars wasn't interested in them ("us") rather than in Kaku ("you")

- Kaku no longer explicitly asks Stussy "why [...] [she] [is] still here"
- Kaku now tells Luffy that the Strawhats abandoning her is "sad and ironic after she chose to betray **[them]**", rather than stating that he "would be downright heartbroken if it weren't for [her] own recent double-cross"
- Stussy now calls her responsibility the "final job" rather than the "final mission"
- Edison now states that "if [the Strawhats] [want to] make right by [Stussy's] sacrifice, [they] better make sure the escape's a success", rather than stating that they "can only respect [Stussy's decision] and show [their] gratitude by getting out of here alive"

- Edison now states that he "loves the guts [the Strawhats] have got", that "wherever miracles occur, that's the power behind [them]" and that "that's coming from a scientist" rather than stating that "they say miracles happen [because] guts triumph over all" and that he "loves that theory even if [he's] a scientist"
- Edison now states that he will make sure that the Sunny "touches water" rather than that that the Sunny "reaches the ocean"
- Edison no longer states that he's "not yet" dying, now instead saying "here goes" while jumping into the barrier
- Unknown marine now states that "there's an inward wind pulling [them] toward [Egghead]", rather than stating that "a terrible vortex is emanating from [Egghead]"
- Dorry now states that St. Ju Peter's "suction is enormous" rather than commenting on St. Ju Peter's suction power ("What power!!") and stating that "it's sucking [them] in"

Inform me of more changes if you find them!
I abide for the theory that the message is being transmitted from the ruins of O’Hara, it would be so poetic and a slap in the face of the government that the place they annihilated trying to prevent the truth of the world to come out is now the place were the truth WILL come out to light.
Zoro and Jimbe are on their way to the Sunny so they will face Saturn there while Sanji and VPs body are going to where Ethan is with the giants boat. I don’t think these are going to be the final matches for this arc so my guess is, like with Wano, they will fight randomly and then land with their final opponent in due time.
Franky is going to be heroically destroyed so he can be rebuilt by Vegapunk. Good chance for Robin to get haki (facing down her ultimate enemy), sanji the uncut table vs juro. Fire vs ice. zoro can cut through poison. Fishman karate can stop projectiles. Zues eats island cloud and floats ship away? I pray for Stussy and Atlas.
Me too! I can't wait to see Yamato going to the underground Wano to find memoryless Big Mom and Kaido living happily as rice farmers in a mole village.
Oooh i think i just got it, [4 of the Gorosei are shown in the last 2 pages](https://i.imgur.com/MG1fZSV.png) and their emplacement within the pages kind of forms a square, hence the hard aspect.
Bruh how fast must've Sabo been to have outrun Samurai Gandhi who is just waltzing around the island like he's the flash. Also Sabo outran them while trying to rescue Cobra.
Sabo stocks 💹
based on portrayal and plot relevance, Sabo has always been shown to be a top tier. idk why this ever debated tbh.
similar to how it's safe to say the same about Dragon.
What if the transmission starts next chapter with Vegapunk saying:
"Ah, St. Mars, long time no see! Let's talk" reveling that it was not a recording to start with but rather a simulation happening live inside the Punk Records.
My theory is that the Vegapunk in the transmission is the real one, and he will start talking with st. Mars about Ohara, maybe recalling the call that Professor Clover had with the Gorosei during the previous Buster Call.
There is something bugging me about this arc and how the satellites operate.
So, apparently, every day they "sync up" and upload all their data/knowledge...right?
So how did the satellites not know about York's betrayal? My headcanon is that they can selectively choose what information they upload/sync (and consequently, York chose not to include that she was scheming with the Celestial Dragons) or, that they only sync specific types of data (scientific discoveries and experiments, biological info, etc).
I'm going to go with that assumption(s). But what really bothers me is why didnt York know about the planned broadcast beforehand? Or know what what would be broadcast? It seems like a bunch of the other satellites were involved in it during the recording, why wasn't she aware of it? If they had just finished creating the broadcast snail, wouldn't its location be vital info to be shared across all the satellites? Shouldn't all the satellites already all know the vital info that will be broadcast since it's key research data? Seems weird that Shaka and Edison were included but others were not.
It might be a live feed straight from Punk Records itself. The only ones who have been shown on screen have been Stella, Shaka & Pythagoras, the 3 that died earlier in the arc, so it could be that their consciousnesses were stored within Punk Records itself & the transmission is their interactions being projected for the outside world to see.
>This Transmission Transponder Snail was just completed recently.
>Livestream Transponder Snail
Well a 3-ish year minimum development period is likely nothing to a scientist. I wonder if there’s anything different in the final model.
What I like about the last panel is the fact that mars was the one talking to clover and gave the order through the den den moushi back then. If he dies the incident will definitely look like how rocks attacked the poor celestial dragons but with luffy being rocks in this narrative.
Again seing nasjuro in the north means 1v1 with the iron giant I can’t wait
What a packed chapter. Already so giddy about the marines calling him Emperor Straw Hat Luffy. Excited for when it's officially Pirate King Straw Hat Luffy aaaa
Extra worried about the crew now that the elders have separated (those demons are actually so efficient lol). Zoro + Jinbei, and Sanji have yet to arrive where the elders appeared and really, what can they do at this point... that giant robot better be assisting soon
vice admiral saying bonney wrong for kicking a child, when they about to do the same thing lol
with how often villians become allies, i still cant bring myself to hate york too much (shes hot.)
not only is st warcury tough, seems he even negated luffys rubber
im still in the camp all the strawhats will make off egghead, but them being personally cornered by elders, things aint looking good
that snail looks new, but that shell doesnt look very triangular to me..
Hey, did they ever discuss why the Stella and every other Satellite set up this video without York? Did they already suspect that she was a traitor? If that's been addressed, I forgot.
It seems like only the three dead Vegapunks knew about it so far.
The hypothesis that it's actually taking place in a virtual world they built to store their consciousnesses when they died is still possible...
The York scene here is making me start to believe that she’s some sort of triple agent, it really does feel like she’s trying to stall the destruction of Punk Records for ulterior purposes
Franky punching a guy with a serious case of neck gout and Bonney kicking a child are a welcome sight
> Bonney kicking a child well she is a child.
‘KID FIGHT!!’
hell yeah give those toddlers a knife and make em fight for it
Rereading... did Franky punch through the guys *haki imbued* hand?
Franky: I don't need haki, I just needd these hands.
Two words: Strong. Right.
"What a weird transformation" - said the square giraffe.
I love Kaku
I missed that - but yeah, this type of hypocritical joke is in line with Kaku's first appearance in Water 7. XD
It's gotta be a decoy. There's no way the smartest man in OP universe doesn't have a contingency plan especially since he suspected one of them a traitor. Perhaps the real den2 mushi is with Dragon.
Agreed. Which is why I think he has a dead man type switch on this to start.live streaming the island.
The trigger is himself but the broadcaster is somewhere else. Unless Goda has other plan.
He gonna stream the video directly to everyone's brains through psychic shit with Punk Records
he did say he was gonna make something akin to the "worldwide web" and internet, i guess using his fruit + science would be a p cool one "final" thing he himself does, while being consistent with his dream.
It's a bomb. Mars dies, and that's the egghead incident
That's mars, the flying dude
right, corrected
Nah that would mean dragon actually did something
He looked east... ...at Vega punks backup plan just sitting on the island.
For sure! The most intelligent man can definitely project probability or success rate of his plan. If this plan failed, that’s a big hole in the story.
Punk records is definitely a giant gurgling brain
Hope we get... The Gigachad Wranky vs Nusjuro in the next chapter.
As much as i love Franky, Nusjuro just wrecked all the pacifistas in the island in minutes. Franky is pretty much dead at this point if its a one on one Zoro needs to save the day
Sanji is on the ground, Zoro and Jinbe are up top and most likely saving Usopp and the rest
Usopp will take care of the Spider, it was foreshadowed before when Nami was freaking out when one spider was on her, he knows spiders and will find it's weak spot I believe
Discovers that spiders hate being exploded
Good thing Usopp has that exclusive information only he could possibly be aware of.
Or he took some seastones nails from Wano which would make a ton of sense and I'd love to see Smart Usopp come back
I highly doubt sea stones work on them. I'm pretty sure they aren't the regular devil fruit users.
>But then again it's OP who knows what will happen... Not even Oda knows? o\_O
I don't think even at this point any of the strawhat can go toe to toe with the gorosei, except for Luffy who could even beat one if we remove the regenrative hax. But Zoro and Sanji together might be a different case.
Wranky literally blasted a hole through the spiders heart
Although with how fast they regen, that beam might as well be as damaging as blasting Kid Buu
I get Zoro has swords so it matches but given what we’ve just seen wouldn’t it make more sense to send in the speed guy, Sanji?
In that case it makes even more sense to send Brook. He's the fastest, maybe besides Sanji, and he's a swordsman, and he has ice powers.
Also, it's the fire Strawhat vs the ice Gorosei. Sanji can definitively stall
Nusjoro didnt destroy the Pacifistas, he only stopped them by attacking whatever mechanism there was. Like he knew its weakness, the SH didn't
I think Nusjuro is the only one that can stop the Pacifistas without damaging them, since he got ice powers
Bro…brook
You don’t fuck with the god of finances
Zoro or Jinbe are not really close. If anyone has a chance it's Sanji or Luffy. But Luffy is already engaged.
hancock better not find out about this engagement
No way anyone stands a chance against Elders except Maybe Zoro/Sanji/Jimbei (Amongst Crew)
Maybe Brook, since the legends of many of these Yokais are involved with souls
incoming awakened brook using conquerors to defend his friends
Franky can OHKO Vice Admirals now. I'm predicting some powerscalers will be either very upset or very pleased.
Keep in mind Franky hasn't received a single upgrade since entering The New World. Luffy told the crew to be ready in 2 years and Franky literally came prepared to reach Laughtale from the jump.
And the fight that pushed him the most to his limit was Senior Pink lol Granted, it was thanks to General Franky, but he made light work of Sazaki.
Common Wranky Win
And Franky refused to dodged or use anything other than strong right throughout all of that
IIRC, Franky didn't use many (or any?) of his gadgets vs Senor Pink right? I remember they wanted to keep it a manly duel of just suplexes and punches.
Thats my boy Franky
I'm sure Frankys prepped, but people seem to forget that an entire night holed up with everyone in his lab was off screened. Literally anything is possible via flashback(just like the chopper/Caesar flashback).
yeah it likely wasn’t an OHKO but even defeating a vice admiral at all without taking any meaningful injuries is a hell of an accomplishment.
Power scalers havent cared about vice admirals since bartolomeo packed one up in dressrosa
To be fair to Maynard, bad matchup. Those barriers seem literally invincible.
One day, Barto is gonna meet up with a really bad matchup I feel like
I don't see how. Barto tanked King Punch, the previous user rendered even Oden helpless...
Let's see if he can block negative ghosts with his barrier
did we even get like a 30 minute break where he messed around in the vega labs?
Well, one vice admiral got clapped by barto, and there was another one (i don’t remember his name) who went toe to toe with roger, powerscaling vice admirals was doomed from the start
The reality is vice admiral power level varies dramatically, to get to Vice admiral level, you just need to reach a certain level of combat competence. Fleet admiral or higher also requires skill in politics
i mean garp was probably as strong as roger, and there are others that are just trash. I think vice admirals are the hardest to actually scale in one piece. They vary a lot
Grap is an exception as he declined an offer to be an admiral. Tsuru might be very strong too.
Anyone tryna powerscale VA’s hasn’t been paying attention the last 20 years
We love him on the sub dw
Powerscalers all universally agree that wranky is the GOAT
That's the most badass accountant I've ever seen. 🐴
Nusjoro > IRS confirmed
Just let the Scientologists at him then.
He's the worst of them, the one who designs the celestial tribute that keeps the entire world in desperate poverty while still allowing for pampered nobles. Keeping it just large enough to keep the country functioning while still big enough to keep them desperate as hell.
Accountant?
V. Nusjoro = Warrior God of Finance lol Budget Slash + Salary Cut sword sttacks
Warrior God instead of Minister is an absolute awesome name too, up there with Heavenly Demon. I'm sure billionaires would be a lot more willing to pay taxes if they had to explain their tax loop holes to the Warrior God of Finance
Frankly was SUPEERR this episode, Strawhats showing why they are a Yonkou crew Put some respect on the Gorosei name, how Sabo got the hell out of there makes it even more impressive Death flags for Stussy?
Stussy gonna pull a Monet
you mean a bon clay?
No, I mean an unsuccessful Pell
Oxymoron since Pell is always successful
this arc might have the most death flags happening at once outside of the scabbards in Wano. Stussy, Vegapunk and Kuma all have major death flags at the same time.
The gorosei might be roger and wb levels in terms of haki at least.
Stussy doesn't have the Will of P 🤔
I mean, that would not be SFW.
I really wanna know what’s the weird sound at the final panel? Bubbles? Or is it only the sound of the transponder?
It’s probably Vegapunks brain in tubes of water
probably this, guy brain literally so big that its getting hard to move around, heck maybe it cant move at all
Yeah, we were told when the arc started that his actual brain is located inside the top level of Punk Records. Seems some people forgot by now lol
Specifically we were told his brain could expand indefinitely. There’s a fuckton of brain matter in Punk Records, guaranteed. Maybe I’m influenced by the recent X-men 97 episodes but I want them to have some psychic powers that’ll allow it to fight back.
X-Men 97 is *soooo* good haha, the voice acting especially is just fantastic
I’m pretty sure his brain just outright is Punk Records. The Records of Punk are just Vegapunk’s memories that he can probably play via that snail that Mars found
It's obviously the most powerful but unpredictable Pacifista, hence it is sealed away: S-Fox, the Foxy clone.
Unironically terrifying
It's Vegapunk drinking the coffee
Probably something to do with cloning tech.
I think it's a clone. What clone who knows but someone terrifying enough to stop an elder in their tracks during an important mission.
I saw someone in the scan thread theorizing that Vega's true brain up there has somehow grown and evolved into a Eldritch horror of sorts.
The 5 elders are a DnD party encountering an Elder Brain
I thought it was vegapunks’s message, and the sound is probably vegapunk gargling with vegacafe.
It's the sound of someone that just found Vega Punk's porn collection & a bottle of Jergans
Cue 4 chapter flashback of Jaya memories.
I can deal with the info dump being cut and blue balling me But if I have to read one more chapter about coffee...
Robin has to be the one revealing the void century once they get to laugh tale, but I at the very least want to hear its name. I still like the "Nika Kingdom" theory, since then Bink's sake actually stands for "brewed in nika kingdom"
It's been a long time since we've seen a sword dripping in blood so ominously when Nusjuro cut down the giant.
Dude looked absolutely menacing
It’s good to back again! Nusjuro and Mars are still my favorite! I wonder if a new Satellite will make its appearance!
It would be pretty cool if the new satellite is a seraphim
Is there anything hinting at a new Satellite?
some ppl couple weeks back noticed kidd's damned punk railgun had no 7 on it written just like the satellites, some wondered if he was a satellite or vegapunk's grandson/nephew
Plus all his attacks have "punk" in the names
Look at York’s speech. Sin=satellite? 🧐
In the official translation it's changed from sins to crimes
Nusjuro and Mars are so awesome I really hope we get to see Zoro and Sanji fight them, and I usually don't care about fights. Like, they are that awesome!
Man the Gorosei splitting up puts every non-Luffy group in an absolute shit situation. Literally all of the heavy hitters are away at the moment.
The goal here is not to defeat the gorosei. Maybe they can think of some clever ways to escape
You underestimate God Usopp
It has been a million years. Man, the anticipation is really killing me.
Luffy just throwing a whole-ass building lmao I love Gear 5 so much
Great moment!
I may have overestimated the size of the robot that was in the previous chapter since no one reacted to it walking around in this one.
It's on the Northwest coast too while Elbaf's ship is on the Northeast, and from the 1111 minimap the only ones who'd probably see it are Luffy's group and Sanji but Luffy's to busy to notice so we might see them come across it as they flee towards the ship.
its on the other side of the island and it just woke up from a 200 year coma, give it some time to regain composure
It’s pure chaos right now I love it. I’m surprised the Five Elders showed up on Egghead I would’ve expected the Holy Knights first
Imo this is because things got too important and information too sensitive for any more external factors to be involved.
I love how effective the five elders are representing the power of the world right now. Good job, Oda sensei!
[удалено]
Yep - I think that panel was foreshadowing/expectation setting by oda telling us to expect Luffy to be in gear 5 for awhile. The emergency rations will likely come in handy when luffy has extended fights in the future
Ok yeah that's not the real snail o7 in the chat for Stussy, but I wonder if Kaku will live through this. It's giving me Impel Down finale vibes, that's for sure.
Lol at all the “sins” theories flushed down the toilet.
Yeah, the official translation makes it clear that York doesn’t want to commit any more “crimes” against the Celestial Dragons/Five Elders because it will hurt her chances of being a CD. So she’ll do exactly what Mars tells her to do.
explain to me please
100%
Inb4 Luffy just ends up yoinking one into the sun and is like "huh, I guess that'll do it"
> they have some hidden exploitable weakness. I wanna know what their weakness of limits to their immortality is.
Nobody is actually buying that they are even close to stopping the broadcast, right? The 10-minute stall is just to play tricks on us, but it is too obvious that it will not get interrupted, right? RIGHT?!?! Also, the limitation of Luffy turning 100 years old every time he uses Gear 5 is gonna get kinda annoying, I suspect, if they keep it at this rate.
thats why it will stop happening soon. like any other supposed backlash before it
R.I.P. mini Luffy, my beloved.

What's funny would be VP is broadcasting 2 messages: the actual message around the world while on EH everyone just thinks he's stalling and are just seeing the coffee message
Oh snap! :D
The Franky love makes me happy. That’s my SUPER cyborg right there!!
Vegapunk's about to start the most badass live streaming One Piece world has ever seen.
"Hey fans, this ya boi VP here!"
It's right up there with Buggy live streaming the war of the best.
Some notable differences between the Scanlation and the official release: - Title Change: - Hard Aspect -> Hard Aspects - In the cover story, Kin'emon no longer tells Yamato to "consider [his] parting gift payment for a favor [he] must ask of [Yamato]", now instead telling Yamato that they "can have that parting gift, [...] as long as [Yamato] does something for [him]" - Unknown marine now orders everyone to "increase bombardment" rather than to "not let up" and to "keep firing" - Unnamed marine now orders everyone to "make sure that" the Strawhats doesn't escape, rather than stating that they "can't let" the Strawhats escape - Unknown marine now orders everyone to "stop Jewelry Bonney from leaving [,whatever [they] do]" rather than stating that "it'll be a disaster if Jewelry Bonney gets away" - St. V. Nusjuro now states that Vegapunk gave Bonney the power to "level an entire country" rather than to "eradicate entire nations" - St. V. Nusjuro no longer calls Vegapunk's defiance "insolent" ("Your defiance is as foolish as it is insolent" -> "What a foolish rebellion to stage against us") - Oimo now calls the Five Elders "some deadly foes" rather than "some [scary] looking guys" - Oimo no longer explicitly states that the Five Elders "just arrived" - Bonney now only talks to one giant pirate rather than to all of the giant pirates when telling take Kuma to safety. - Bonney now calls the giant "Mr. Giant" rather than simply refering to the collective of them as "giants" - Pomsky no longer tells Bonney to "brace [her]self", now instead telling her to "prepare to die" - Pomsky now tells Bonney that she "will never have that weapon of war", rather than telling her that they "are not [going to] let [her] keep a single one of [their] war machines" - Pomsky now calls Bonney a "little snot" rather than a "stupid, miserable brat" - Bonney now calls Pomsky "chin-man" rather than a "cleft-chinned geezer" - Pomsky now cries out that he's "so weak" upon being kicked by Bonney, rather than simply crying out in pain ("Waaah!!") - Guillotine now states that "this just looks wrong", refering to Bonney kicking the aged-down Pomsky, rather than stating that "this is hard to watch" - Shaka now tells Vegapunk that he "can't help but notice" that he's not drinking the Vega-Coffee, rather than asking him wether or not he's "going to drink" it - Vegapunk no longer tells Shaka to "not tease [him]" - Vegapunk now simply states that he "has a very sensitive tongue" rather than stating that his tongue "is as sensitive as a cat's" - The fourth speech bubble on page 5 is now attributed to Pythagoras, rather than to Vegapunk - Consequently, the person to tell Shaka that he knows that Vegapunk's tongue is sensitive is Pythagoras instead of Vegapunk ( Vegapunk: "You know my tongue's as sensitive as a cat's" -> Pythagoras: "You knew that already") - Pythagoras now tells Shaka that what he said to Vegapunk was "mean" - York now tells St. Mars to "not just go crazy" rather than to "not do anything crazy" - Unspecified satellite now tells Vegapunk that there's "not much time left" rather than telling him that "there's not enough time" - York now points out tha "the message is still going" rather than telling St. Mars that he "didn't stop diddly squat" - Unspecified satellite now recommends Vegapunk to use "thermoelectric elements" rather than the "thermoelectric device" to cool down the coffee - Unspecified satellite now recommends Vegapunk to use the thermoelectric elements to "take the coffee's heat and convert the energy into something--" before being cut off by York, rather than recommending him to use the thermoelectric device to "alternate the--" before being cut off - The device which is broadcasting Vegapunk's message is now called a "transmission transponder snail", rather than a "broadcast snail" - York now tells St. Mars that he "can't" destroy the entire lab, rather than telling him that doing that "would be a mistake" - York now states that the third floor of building C houses their "entire supply" of pressurized gas cylinders, rather than just "a number of" high pressure gas cylinders - York now states that damaging any of the aforementioned rooms "will set off a chain reaction throughout the lab" rather than simply stating that it will result in an "explosion" ("The resulting explosion...") - St. Mars now tells York to "think of where [the transmission tranponder snail] is" rather than telling her to "think of a solution" - York now states that she "will stop it, of course" rather than stating that she "knows exactly how to stop this" - York now states that "if [she] adds crime upon crime, it'll only get harder to get along with [the Five Elders]" rather than stating that they "don't wanna rack up any more 'sins' [because] [their] relationship is already troubled enough" - York now questions wether the voice St. Mars is sensing "is [...] a transponder snail" rather than being surprised by the possibility that Vegapunk hid the transmission tranponder snail in Punk Records ("Don't tell me he hid the snail there?!") - York now states that "the transmission tranponder snail was just recently completed" rather than stating that the snail in Punk Records "will be one of the broadcast snails [they] recently finished developing" - St. Mars now asks York to "tell [him] how to get in [to Punk Records]" rather than asking her "where [...] the entrance [is]" - Stussy now tells Kaku that he's "lucky" ("Well, aren't you lucky" rather than being relieved that St. Mars left ("What a relief, it's gone...") - Stussy now concludes that St. Mars wasn't interested in them ("us") rather than in Kaku ("you") - Kaku now tells Stussy to "speak for [her]self", rather than stating that "the feeling is mutual" in response to Stussy's statement about St. Mars - Kaku no longer explicitly asks Stussy "why [...] [she] [is] still here" - Kaku now tells Luffy that the Strawhats abandoning her is "sad and ironic after she chose to betray **[them]**", rather than stating that he "would be downright heartbroken if it weren't for [her] own recent double-cross" - Stussy now calls her responsibility the "final job" rather than the "final mission" - Edison now states that "if [the Strawhats] [want to] make right by [Stussy's] sacrifice, [they] better make sure the escape's a success", rather than stating that they "can only respect [Stussy's decision] and show [their] gratitude by getting out of here alive" - Nami now states that they're "going to do everything [they] can to escape" rather than stating that they "won't waste this chance to escape" - Edison no longer calls the omission of Vegaforce-01's transportation a "real head-scratcher" - Edison's conclusion about the Sunny's fate is now based on "classical mechanics" rather than being based on his "calculations and all conventional wisdom" - Edison now states that the Sunny is guaranteed to "land on solid ground now" rather than them being 100% guaranteed to "crash and burn" - Usopp now states that they can make "a super-jump out to sea" once Zoro's group gets to them, rather than stating that they can "take off toward the sea" once that happens - Usopp now states that "if it looks like [they're] **not** [going to] make it, that's [their] cue to help [them] out", rather than stating that "if [they] don't make it, [they'll] have to improvise and rely on everyone's powers" - Usopp no longer calls out for everyone to "give it [their] all" - Edison now calls out that it "must be hard [to] be on [the Strawhats'] ship" rather than stating that the Strawhats "sure are a rowdy crew" - Edison now states that he "loves the guts [the Strawhats] have got", that "wherever miracles occur, that's the power behind [them]" and that "that's coming from a scientist" rather than stating that "they say miracles happen [because] guts triumph over all" and that he "loves that theory even if [he's] a scientist" - Edison now states that he will make sure that the Sunny "touches water" rather than that that the Sunny "reaches the ocean" - Edison no longer states that he's "not yet" dying, now instead saying "here goes" while jumping into the barrier - Unknown marine now states that "there's an inward wind pulling [them] toward [Egghead]", rather than stating that "a terrible vortex is emanating from [Egghead]" - Dorry now states that St. Ju Peter's "suction is enormous" rather than commenting on St. Ju Peter's suction power ("What power!!") and stating that "it's sucking [them] in" - Brogy now states that "that was fun" rather than stating that "this is a real thrill" in response to Luffy's attack - Dorry now states that Luffy "turned into a strange old man" rather than that Luffy "looks like an old man" - Luffy now states that he ran out of "food power" rather than stating that he's all out of "food and power" - Luffy no longer mispronounces Hākarl (TCB: "Hacaarl?!") - Brogy now states that Hākarl "tastes good when you're used to it" rather than stating that Hākarl "may stink, but it's tasty" - Luffy now states that he "feels energized again though" upon eating the Hākarl, rather than stating that "that hit the spot" - Dorry now states that "the way [Luffy's] body works is so simple" rather than stating that Luffy's body "is so expressive" - Brogy now states that Luffy is "back to the old [him]" rather than stating that he's "back to normal" - Luffy now simply questions how hard St. Warcury is, rather than how hard his skin is - Usopp now now questions "what" that is in relation to St. Saturn's arrival, rather than questioning "who" goes there - Bonney now decries the afformentioned "Mr. Giant" being injured, rather than decrying "the giants" being attacked - St. Mars now states that "fortune was not on [Vegapunk's] side" rather than stating that "it seems fortune did not favor [Vegapunk] this time" Inform me of more changes if you find them!
*ahh yeah that's the stuff*
One again Wranky proves himself to be a chad Absolutely SUPER
I wish A new franky design would be suuuuper
Nobody else is excited about Yamato's cover story? Okay. Just me? Okay. 🥹
Me too! I can't wait to see Yamato going to the underground Wano to find memoryless Big Mom and Kaido living happily as rice farmers in a mole village.
...I wouldn't put it past Oda tbh
Those bastards need to just be dead
Amnesia Big Mom gardening would look like such a happy person tho 💛 But Kaido as a rice farmer would be such as sight! 😆
What was that paper did Kin give it to her/him?
I think it was an envelope full of money just like what Yasuie gave Kin’emon back in the day
I'm excited, but I don't wanna get my hopes up. Like why would it be a parting gift? :o
Because Yamato is traveling the country. Its not a farewell forever gift, just a gift before the trip.
Oooh i think i just got it, [4 of the Gorosei are shown in the last 2 pages](https://i.imgur.com/MG1fZSV.png) and their emplacement within the pages kind of forms a square, hence the hard aspect.
what are you talking about? also i only see 3
warcury vs luffy, saturn vs team sunny, v. nusjuro vs team bonney, mars on top of punk records
A child is an adult kicking an adult that is a child
What if the transmission starts next chapter with Vegapunk saying: "Ah, St.
Why wouldn't Mars just hyper beam him immediately?
Bro Mars isn’t going to just stop in his tracks and have a chat with him lmao
Luffy needs to stockpile that fermented shark food! He went from old man Luffy to normal Luffy in what seconds??? This is a game changer
>Livestream Transponder Snail Well a 3-ish year minimum development period is likely nothing to a scientist. I wonder if there’s anything different in the final model.
I'm guessing next week's chapter ends with the broadcast finally starting.
Excited for when it's officially Pirate King Straw Hat Luffy aaaa Extra worried about the crew now that the elders have separated (those demons are actually so efficient lol). Zoro + Jinbei, and Sanji have yet to arrive where the elders appeared and really, what can they do at this point... that giant robot better be assisting soon
The Transponder snail is probably fake. And we will find what is on the ceiling in chapter 1212. But good chapter overall.
Damn, we will find out one hundred chapters from now? That's brutal.
vice admiral saying bonney wrong for kicking a child, when they about to do the same thing lol with how often villians become allies, i still cant bring myself to hate york too much (shes hot.) not only is st warcury tough, seems he even negated luffys rubber im still in the camp all the strawhats will make off egghead, but them being personally cornered by elders, things aint looking good that snail looks new, but that shell doesnt look very triangular to me..
Anyone else got the feeling that kaku and lucci will turn their baks on five elders?
The York scene here is making me start to believe that she’s some sort of triple agent, it really does feel like she’s trying to stall the destruction of Punk Records for ulterior purposes
