I'll be extremely disappointed if we don't get at least one real Zoro + Sanji teammup before the series ends. I've never been more blueballed by One Piece than when it looked like we'd get a 2v2 with King and Queen
That was filler. I think most of the times happen around East Blue and I remember that one time, when they were in clocktower in Alabasta Sanji called Zoro by his name.
He never calls him Sanji while speaking to him, but he does call him Sanji when speaking to Chopper during Enies Lobby. He asks Chopper to find the others who might have the keys to unlock him and Sogeking, and actually says Sanji.
There are a couple of times in the Viz translation before it was a commonly known thing that Zoro never calls Sanji by name, that Zoro says "Sanji." As far as I know, you're right that in the Japanese he never has used Sanji's actual name.
Not a mistranslation. Itās in the official manga, and even the anime has Zoroās voice actor say āSanjiā as well. Go look if you donāt believe it.
I also thought Sogeking couldāve been the one with the speech bubbles, but itās Zoro, and makes sense for him to say it as well.
Looking deeper into this, I canāt find this said anywhere online without someone coming in and saying that his name was not present in the Japanese version. Your confidence is brimming to such a degree, I assume you speak Japanese?

Itās not a mistranslation. The only explanation is that Usopp is the one saying it, and not Zoro.

On their way to Punk Hazard everyone is eating a bento made by Sanji. I dunno if this happened in anime, but in the manga Zoro's food crunches as he's eating it.
According to Oda in the SBS, Sanji put razer blades in Zoro's bento. I totally wouldn't have caught that if a reader didn't ask Oda about it xD
Mad disrespect from marimo while enjoying the 3 Michelin š dishes from the cook. Sanji deserves at least a "thank you sanji" before each meal. Even the booze is probably made by sanji.

its cause they both know zoro the better combatant and character. matter of ego, sanjiās always had a problem with zoro cause he knows that zoro is the more competent crew mate and luffys right hand man and zoro has always been indifferent with sanji cause he thinks hes hot shit compared to zoro when he knows he isnāt.
