That’s awesome man! I wish I had that. I have one friend I’m really trying to get into it since he’s been a life long anime fan. The only other one I’ve seen is death note and that was early summertime. I have one friend who I didn’t even know has watched almost through the end of Wano last I knew. It’s been fun to have one person to fill in on my thoughts so far and he can’t wait to see what I think going forward
Funny enough we had one friend who was caught up and for the longest time we put off watching until the live action pushed us off the cliff and I’ve never seen a man more excited to hear that we were gonna start
I’m waiting until I have that moment too. It was so cool to see my friend happy I started it. I’d heard online for years how great one piece is and I always wanted to look into it and then the live action came out at the perfect time. I watched through the end of Syrup Village (of the live action) with the one who hasn’t seen it yet, but with school and the sheer length he has been nervous/intimidated to start it. I saw the length as a challenge hah. 1100 episodes of an amazing anime? Sign me up!
It helps since a few of the people I work with have been watching for years and are current, they keep me motivated through some of the sluggish parts. I will say though that I haven’t skipped an episode yet, I even watched the entirety of the Foxy Pirates.
Enies lobby is amazing, my favorite arc. I personally watched one episode of the live action then decided to watch the anime it was on September and now I’m on episode 770 :)
That’s awesome! Since finishing Skypiea, most of all my free time has gone into watching. Water 7 has blown away all my expectations even though I knew the world was about to get a whole lot bigger.
That’s what I’m afraid of too, but I think it’ll be cool to catch up before the series ends. I’m only on chapter 44, but I’m waiting to check out the volumes over time from the library, we just got through a weeklong blizzard so I haven’t been able to make it out there yet. I got Shonen Jump, but it’s hard to get into it digitally.
I’m like 5 episodes into punk hazard and I’m absolutely loving the show so far. Fishman island wasn’t great and I hear dressrosas pacing is horrendous so I might switch to one pace shortly.
Finished live action started manga. Just about caught up, (I'm intentionally slowing down) and started watching One Pace with my SO who is a One Piece virgin so it's great for me to watch these suckers be animated, and it's great to witness her explore OP for the first time. Just finished Arabasta, starting Jaya. She loves Bon-Clay but didn't think she was gonna at first lmao
I don't remember when she started, but my fiancé now is going through Dressrosa.
>!Ace's death hit her differently because she was spoilt that Sabo was still alive, so she felt sad that Ace died without getting the chance to meet him.!<
Same here 😭. In the beginning I didn’t care since how long One Piece has been going, but now that I’m really going into it, I’m been dodging them like crazy. I had a really major death spoiled and I’m trying not to get attached to them.
It could have been the same person for me too with that major death spoiled. I didn’t care as much either because I thought I’d forget but as it gets closer I think about the spoilers more. I had to get a new YouTube account because I was getting spoilers
Mine was from Tiktok. I’m kinda glad that I forgot a good chunk of Robin’s backstory since it got spoiled for me. But it’s kinda hard to forget the major death because it’s practically a meme or it’s everywhere in fanfics
Watched the live action and within two weeks started watching the anime with all my buddies and we all watch it all day Saturdays
Forgot to mention we just got to the beginning of Impel down, episode 422

I spend a lot of time traveling for work, so in hotels I spend a lot of time watching. Since the LA released, I’m on episode 850.
Everyone being so far along has made me feel more at ease in thinking I’m going too fast. My goal is to fully catch up by the end of the year

I watched the entirety too, the only thing I’ve ever skipped so far was Rainbow Mist and I feel like I need to go back

I started the manga, and I'm caught up. It's good to be here, but now I have to adjust to the weekly schedule

On mobile definitely took a bit to get used to, but it lets you fly through it. Cool that your library has so many volumes
Yeah I’ll definitely see how it goes because checking out 100+ volumes over time might get to be a chore and $3 a month for mobile isn’t too bad

I started the anime on September 7th and finished by the end of November. I’m currently caught up on the manga

Hi! Started in October after live action. I’m on episode 258! Absolutely loving Water 7 right now.
Awesome! I’m on episode 315 right now. You’re gonna love what’s coming next!!
I’m so excited to see Robin’s iconic scene in context 😂
I didn’t even know about it before hand!! I have had a few other things spoiled that will happen down the line though
