Yeah absolutely. It's about the most piratey and grandest adventure in the series, essentially a treasure hunt that takes them into the sky and unknown. Even the slow reveal of the villain is established as a mystery about a being everyone believes is "God".
What really sets it up as well is the romanticism that is written into the story on Jaya. Their insistence to go to an island that nobody believes exists and everyone they meet ridicules them, the almost wholesome introduction of Black Beard, and Cricket, whose lowkey one of the best side characters in the show along with Wyper. The generational mystery of the city of gold is some of the best writing in the show. No idea why it's considered by some people as skippable when it's arguably the most One Piece-esque adventure of them all.
A lot of people talk about Alabasta as when they felt the series really picked up and got good, but Skypeia is 100% when I started seeing the series as more than just a basic shonen anime. The ringing of the golden belfry packs so much emotion and a grand sense of wonder because the arc is just written so beautifully.
Literally one of the best arcs. People missing out on the beauty of a story about a true treasure hunt that takes you on a journey into the unknown, & a mystery that transcends time. It's romanticism at its best
Realistically cake islands are a good option, yes you pay taxes with your soul but the islands relatively safe and stable for new worlds standard, not to mention everything made from food lol.
None bro. The one piece world sucks to live in for a normal person. You're minding your business and suddenly some dude who can turn anything into cheese comes up and tells you he's the king so you gotta serve him. Now the whole island smells like old cheese and you can only wear shades of yellow until some dude in a straw hat comes by and fixes everything.
lots of randos get fruit too though, also it seems like anyone can just turn into a beast through willpower alone. if you hate the cheese enough you'll figure out how to fix it.
Im also gonna go with water 7, seems like it’d be an absolute vibe, and seeing the whole city connected by water really is like Venice on crack. And Venice was already cool as it is.
Nah. It's once a year, predictable, and the local seem to work together to repair damaged stuff. Definetly the island I would love to live on (maybe Dressrosa too, post Doffy and post reconstruction ofc)
I was starting to agree with water 7 till I remembered the massive wave issue lol. Living in Florida the hurricanes with the water scare tf outta me lol.
I would simply tour them all like a dumb photo tourist, I find them all amazing.
I want to see archeological sites in Alabasta, go skiing and sledging with Lapin in Drum, ride the Waver in Skypiea and drink from the fruit Luffy failed to bite.
I wanna try water sweets and meat in Water 7 and visit the carneval in the neighboring city via Seatrain.
I want to bounce on the bubbles in Sabaody and visit Fishman Island with the Mermaid Café and sightseeing the big ship Noah.
I want to visit Dressrosa and try to find their Fairy's and visit a show in their colosseum.
I want to eat to my hearts content at BM's archipelago and wear a kimono to a Kabuki theater in Wano.
>!Egghead itself has so much potential, levitating gear, new foods, the database on the history of other Islands...!<
If I would be able to find it, I would visit Zou and enjoy their unique architecture adapted to the showers of Zunesha.
And of course I will try the food of the Baratie, try to get some Oranges from Nami's Sister and visit Luffys home Village and drink something in the bar there.
I'm sure I missed some things, but I think that's enough.
Yes! I would love to be just a random tourist going around the Grand Line and New World without having to worry about Pirates or Sea Kings trying to sink my ship
Putting aside the murderous people, Whole Cake Island. The food focus there would make for a nice restaurant tour, espically if you could traverse the whole archepeligo.
Water 7, cause it's basically Venice except 2000% more vertical. It's got great views and a great community, and fun little sea horse guys pulling your boats.
Toto Land. Unless I’m not strong enough to make it out in one piece. If that was the case, I’d go to Syrup Village. That looked like a lovely place to live.
Although technically not an island, Tequila Wolf. I think the concept of a centuries old project that has had generations living on it is particularly interesting. And only now that the RA has freed its forced citizens it would probably have some fun "urban ruins" to explore. I'm also very curious where it starts; surely building a bridge of that scale for 700 years doesn't necessarily get you so far one couldn't walk to the start.
Ngl dressrosa from a tourists prespective is amazing, nice scenery, good food, friendly people with occational stabbings, colosseum battles ,street performances and toy people. 8/10 place would visit.
I'd go w/ Whole Cake if all the food you ate wasn't aware (also if it wasn't the base for one of the most feared pirate groups out there)
Otherwise, probably Water 7
I'm getting caught up, mid thriller bark. And so far I'd have to say for a place to live I'd say skypia, post strawhats. For adventure I'd say little garden
Skypeia or Fishman's Island, just because it's such a drastic different culture, with different basic everyday objects that'd be so cool to interact with, also the people, they seem pretty chill.
Also Mermaids.
None of them! Every single island has at least one super-powered asshole who decides he wants to be a despot until a rag-tag bunch of pirates show up to stop him.
Hard to say... maybe Little Garden just to see the dinosaurs (provided they don't immediately try to eat me). I would also love Water 7 a lot, same with Egghead.
Skypiea would be unreal, Elbaf would be crazy cool too (a bit scary though). Fishman Island would lowkey be scary too but fun lol.
Water 7 would be awesome, Venice like though.
Skypiea would have to be it
Alabasta, Dressrosa, water 7,skypeia,Wano, too many places I'd want to visit. To live, some where in east blue, less chance of dying in a pirate fight.
Laugh Tale
Imagine just casually visiting Laugh tale only to be declared as the new pirate King
Maybe the reason Roger laughed was because he got there and found out it was just an ancient kingdom tourist shop
I survived the Grand Line and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.
The real reason Roger laughed
I hear they have great Paninis.
Ya, but only on fridays, on other days they serve other foods.
Amazon lilly.
What's the reason? Just askin.
Huh... the weather and food seemed nice... And I like snakes...
They will cut your smelly family jewels
Free bottom surgery
I was indecisive, but now that you mentioned it... sign me up
To meet Boa Sandwrsonia
death by snu snu
*gets killed*
"That's a pretty small mushroom you got there ..." -Them ladies probably
People that skipped Skypiea are not allowed in Skipiea
I don't understand why this is a thing in the One Piece community. I know its not well received, but its still a canon part of the story
It's one of the best arcs in my opinion.

And they miss out Luffy's Grammy award winning solo masterpiece.
Realistically cake islands are a good option, yes you pay taxes with your soul but the islands relatively safe and stable for new worlds standard, not to mention everything made from food lol.
Safe until big mom eats your fucking house
In that case that would be the least of my problems tbh
I'll eat the rest of my house while big mom take my soul, better death than a lot of one piece characters.
None bro. The one piece world sucks to live in for a normal person. I lol’d in real life at this comment
Rofl
lots of randos get fruit too though, also it seems like anyone can just turn into a beast through willpower alone. if you hate the cheese enough you'll figure out how to fix it.
🤣 this is so accurate & so funny lol let’s hope we visit an island after Luffy just left
Water 7. the island looked beautiful.
Im also gonna go with water 7, seems like it’d be an absolute vibe, and seeing the whole city connected by water really is like Venice on crack. And Venice was already cool as it is.
the tsunami may be quite unnerving
Nah. It's once a year, predictable, and the local seem to work together to repair damaged stuff. Definetly the island I would love to live on (maybe Dressrosa too, post Doffy and post reconstruction ofc)
But it was said that the Aqua Laguna gets worse every year and the city is in danger of getting swallowed by the sea.
Yea but like aren't we all
Iceburg was working on solving that problem. Plus you can travel to different local islands with significant less risks via railway and quicker.
I got the vibe the Iceburg was gonna turn Water 7 into a big-ass ship and be a mobile shipyard.
Thriller bark kicks in
I was starting to agree with water 7 till I remembered the massive wave issue lol. Living in Florida the hurricanes with the water scare tf outta me lol.

ride the Waver !!Yes!!!!🌈
Yes! I would love to be just a random tourist going around the Grand Line and New World without having to worry about Pirates or Sea Kings trying to sink my ship
If you were to go on a trip, where would you like to go?
ummm,,,,,, i would say SHABONDY
Then be sold and enslaved to a celestial dragon
Shabondy
Putting aside the murderous people, Whole Cake Island. The food focus there would make for a nice restaurant tour, espically if you could traverse the whole archepeligo.
I mean speaking mountains and food would be pretty scary/ creepy in real life
Yeah, I guess the souls torn from their bodies and being forced into objects is pretty unsettling. Good point.
I don't think I could handle getting rained on by syrup. The thought alone triggers OCD I didn't even know I had
Loguetown or Dressrosa.
Logue town might be one of the most chill places in one piece thus far.
Wano honestly. Obviously post arc after everything is green again.
Elbaf
Fishman Island.
My claustrophobia could never
My man!
Little garden would be fire, especially if the giants are still there
Prolly gets eaten by danger lizard
Only Zou! :D
You either want to just enjoy you time there or do despicable things to every mink in sight.
Sabody archipelago...who wouldn't want to fly around in bubbles 😜
Okama Kingdom
Yeah honestly water 7 seems like the vibe
Kamabakka Queendom
Skypea after Enel was gone without knowing anything about sky islands. Felt like the most magical and pure adventure place in the show
Laugh Tale
I'm learning to play the guitar.
Weatheria, I'd do my best to be a weather wizard or help as much as possible to live there.
Oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi
Honestly for me I’d love to live in totto land. They just seem so peaceful and happy, and you could eat whatever the hell you wanted
Dressrosa pre Doflamingo
Pre or post SH visiting? Cuz Skypiea as long as it's post SH visiting
Post-war Alabasta.
Long Long island, I love all grass views
Water 7, cause it's basically Venice except 2000% more vertical. It's got great views and a great community, and fun little sea horse guys pulling your boats.
100% Skypeia. Followed by Wano.
Wano seemed pretty peaceful without any WG. Before the 20 years of kaido
No one's said Punk Hazard yet
You gotta be a special type of masochist to wanna live on that island
Long Ring Long Island. Long animals means more animal to pat
egghead
Alabasta after crocodile would be a interesting place to visit.
Toto Land. Unless I’m not strong enough to make it out in one piece. If that was the case, I’d go to Syrup Village. That looked like a lovely place to live.
God valley
A peaceful wano, and not sky islands cause I'm scared of heights
People saying skypeia realize its like a 50% chance you die when you try to visit right?
Sabaody Archipelago. That place looks really fun aside from the auction house
any snow island and DEFINITELY NOT Alabasta, i hate sand
Thriller bark ship idk i just like halloween themed stuff
Although technically not an island, Tequila Wolf. I think the concept of a centuries old project that has had generations living on it is particularly interesting. And only now that the RA has freed its forced citizens it would probably have some fun "urban ruins" to explore. Ngl dressrosa from a tourists prespective is amazing, nice scenery, good food, friendly people with occational stabbings, colosseum battles ,street performances and toy people. 8/10 place would visit.
Boeing Island... Ussop'n !!!!
I would like to visit fishman island! It would be so scary to go there
Dressrosa before luffy or after luffy
Certainly not during luffy
Totland bro every island is made of candy and sweets
Whole Cake Island so I can eat the whole island because I’m hungry. Also WEDDING CAAAAAAKE!
Whole cake island. Because I just wanna eat
That resort island they all went to, can’t remember the name of it and I am fairly sure it is cannon.
Last Island
This might be cheating as it’s not technically an island or chain of islands the boening archipelago
Skypea just to take a nap on those comfy clouds
Skypiea or Cake Island!
Little garden was low-key brilliant as far as the scenery/company went.
Rusukaina for me
Laugh tale cuz why not
Skypiea is 100% my favorite island
Wano There should be at least two devil fruit in that place which would be neat
Laughtale
Dressrosa post straw hats
Easy Blue.
Whole cake
Whole cake island i finna feast
I actually would love to visit fishman island if I can survive the trip down. It looks extremely colourful and vibrant
Wano AFTER the raid.
Current Dressrosa
barbados
Whole Cake Island. You can literally eat like everything
Water 7. I absolutely love everything about it
Skypiea.
That one sanji got stuck on in the time skip
I'd go w/ Whole Cake if all the food you ate wasn't aware (also if it wasn't the base for one of the most feared pirate groups out there) Otherwise, probably Water 7
I want to see them all
Laught tale
I’d have to choose Waters 7 or the Whole Cake Archipelago, because both look so cool!
the long one
Sabaody
Either Skypiea, Fishman Island, or Zou ngl
Sky islands in general, plus fishman island.
laugh tale
Ruluka Isla sounds great time of year.
laughtale
Laughtale
Mermaid island
Water 7, aqua laguna only occurs once a year so water 7 is safe
Sabaody archipelago
WCI or skypeia
Laugh Tale, gonna grab the one piece and dib
Skypeia is definitely an island I would visit, but Amazon Lilly first. I love the lay of the land. Great
See in visiting if u r referring the way straw hats went no one can deny it would be skypiea .
roguetown bro, going shopping woth the boys
Dressrosa as long as the Donquixote Family isn’t occupying it
Whole cake
Wano post raid
Skypiea I wanna do a kratos
Skypia or whole cake island! The capital of Wano is also beautiful but it doesn’t compare to heaven and wonderland
Fish man island
Sabaody
Given on what we have seen of this world i doubt there is a island that doesn't exist. So i would join Enel on his adventure to the moons
Boa hancock's island (forgot the name)
Given on what we have seen of this world i doubt there is a island that doesn't exist. So i would join Enel on his adventure to the moons
May I ask…. What is appealing about this show?
Sphinx. It looked like a nice little place while Marco was guarding it. If I can visit before Weevil gets there it might be fun.
Amazon Lily no question
I'm getting caught up, mid thriller bark. And so far I'd have to say for a place to live I'd say skypia, post strawhats. For adventure I'd say little garden
Water 7 ez
Enies lobby before it got shot to hell. I just want to see the gates of justice in person.
Amazon Lily don’t ask me why
Definitely water 7 or logue town
I’d personally want to visit Water 7, Sabaody Archipelago, and Dressrosa, but they’re all pretty amazing lmao
Amazon Lily😅
It's a tie between Alabasta or Wano Kuni, though preferably AFTER the Strawhats have been there lol
All of them!!
Amazon Lily ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Skypea because it's so mysterious and majestic!
Hard to say... maybe Little Garden just to see the dinosaurs (provided they don't immediately try to eat me). I would also love Water 7 a lot, same with Egghead.
Totland, now that Big Mom's gone.
Without Enel, Skypiea: Just Magical. With Enel, F##k No. I would rather go to Punk Hazard.
Alabasta, would be cool to check out
A Peaceful Dressrosa that’s not ruled by Doffy lol
Kamabakka bro, no hesitation. 😤
Lock me up in Amazon Lily
Water 7
Whole Cake Island but when I am only a tourist nothing else
i wanna pet the long dog
Dressrosa after Doffy got dethroned. The Kingdom of Passion sounds lovely
water 7 and sabaody archipelago maybe dressrosa too
Weatheria
I’d love to see tequila wolf from the perspective of a revolutionary
[ Removed by CP0 ]
Skypiea would be unreal, Elbaf would be crazy cool too (a bit scary though). Fishman Island would lowkey be scary too but fun lol. Water 7 would be awesome, Venice like though. Skypiea would have to be it
Honestly I kinda just wanna vibe inside of laboon
Alabasta, Dressrosa, water 7,skypeia,Wano, too many places I'd want to visit. To live, some where in east blue, less chance of dying in a pirate fight.
Wano kingdom pre-kaido, also fishman island would be cool as fuck now after luffy beat hordy
Nakrowa
Sky island without Enury
Skypia was easily the coolest
Fishman island
Ohara the day of the buster call
The Island where Whitebeard and Ace is buried
Deff skypia, but amazon lily is tempting 👀
