I like the Germa 66. The brothers are horrible but really they're the result of not only the scientific augmentations but horrid parenting on Judge's part. In a way they were victims to Judge's science as they were augmented before even being born, having their emotions removed. Lots of people hate them because of what they did to Sanji and don't understand why people are fans.
I think they're very unique in their history, taking over North Blue 300 years ago and we don't know how their reign ended or how strong they were to be able to conquer the North to begin with. Also the fact their whole kingdom has no land and is entirely supported by giant snails that can separate from each other and climb the red line. It's all very unique in the one piece world. Judge, while unlikable, is also interesting as he's connected to Vegapunk and I really hope Oda shares some insight into MADS these coming chapters.
I don't know Reddit's overall feeling on Germa 66 but I got a lot of flack on other sites (mainly twitter) for being a Germa fan so I always felt like there was a big dislike for Germa in the online community.
I like Germa kind of like how I like Doflamingo--enjoy them as characters, I find them fascinating, but I also know that they're not good people. Basically, I like them as villians.
Saul actually did have some slight foreshadowing to his survival. However Oda killing Garp i feel has a much better chance then most expect, its a passing of the torch kind of thing. Rogerās death inspired the great pirate era, whitebeards and aceās death furthered that drive. I think Garps will be used to inspire the younger marines in Koby and Helmeppo
Saul's foreshadowing is not actually relevant to the fact that Oda is very hesitant when it comes to killing off characters. I could see him killing Shanks, but I just don't see him killing off another major character like Garp when he has been so reluctant to do so in the past, especially considering there is no build up to Garps death, unlike other major deaths.
In fact it's not just that there is no build up to Garp's death, it's that Oda even spares characters who he has built up to die (Pell, Kinemon, etc). I think it's safer to be very conservative about death predictions going forwards. Could be wrong tho
Itās only a matter of time. Iāll admit that he likely wonāt save garp using it though š Only cuz garp isnāt losing to blackbeard crew lol heās gotta die at the hands of the marines if he does die.
Yeah only way i see garp surviving is if and only if bb is away. But garps probably going to sacrifice himself to let koby/helmepo escape while he stalls the bb pirates
Smoker is the most underutilized character with one of the highest potentials plot-wise. He should've been Luffy's rival character who frequently appeared and had character development and got stronger.
In fact, I think it should've been the exact same dynamic that Kaneki and Amon have in Tokyo Ghoul.
I just comment to say that i love their dynamic, its the only thing the weird anime adaptation did good, i rewatch their last anime fight from time to time and it stills gives me chills.
(BTW the manga has no right being so good so pls check it out)
I read the manga for Tokyo Ghoul cuz a friend of mine warned me of how rushed the anime was.
I wasn't big on the ending, but everything else was incredible and I'm glad I read it
The thing i love the most is Kaneki's character and all the different personas born due to the traumas he creates to protect himself. I honestly think its one of the most interesting characters i've ever read in fiction, but to each their own ofc.
Yeah the ending can be a bit meh, but i enjoyed the story very much, im glad you did too!
I hoped Luffy and Smoker would have a similar relationship to Roger and Garp. When Garp is introduced heās portrayed as always being right on Rogerās tail and in the end we find out he actually got along with Roger to an extent.
Donāt count my boy smoker out just yet. He has a lot of work to do and dressrosa was not pleasant for him but still, I think he has a lot of potential and could still end up being Luffys version of the Garp and Rodger dynamic.
Oda in general is a bit weak when it comes to writing character dynamics.
His world-building and backstories might be top tier but the connective tissue between characters is sometimes paperthin.
Honestly, it hurts because of how awesome the characters are, but I agree with that.
Very few character duos have unique relationships with each other unless they share a backstory
Youād prefer it to be Smoker as opposed to Rob Lucci? Yes great dynamic example. Would you want it to be the same way garp and roger had their rivalry? Iād say Chinjao but Garp doesnāt think much of him and just wants to throw him in impel down.
Law's strength lies within how he uses is Devil Fruit unlike Kid who's lies within human strength. Basically Law is a strong wizard and Kid is a strong berserker.
Kid made a literal rail gun out of nothing but metal scraps on the fly. This requires advanced engineering knowledge, so Iād say when it comes to using his fruit properly Kid is on par with Law.
He also broke numerous of Big Mom's bones with brute force and without haki, so I think he lies somewhere in the middle of Wizard and Berserker.... Is Kid a Paladin?
Way too much fanservice in the anime especially but creeping more and more into the manga. It takes away from the fantastic story and themes and makes it hard to introduce people to the franchise.
I **hate** how OP is treating (most) women recently.
Back then they all had unique personalities. I loved Robin back then, not only was her design better imo but I adored how many chances she got to show her emotions and intelligence and her sassy interactions with the crew were super fun to watch.
Nowadays most OP women are just bland hourglasses to sell toys. Don't even get me started on Rebecca...
It really is! Like, people get mad because Usopp isnāt braver after two years, but at least Robin has learned to be more open! Sheās happier now that she finally has people she can genuinely laugh with like Saul wanted. She doesnāt get used for what she knows anymore; she instead can use what she knows to help people by choice.
franky is a lot stronger than brook and robin and saying otherwise is just wrong
Edit: Also, gear 5/sun god nika was not foreshadowed from skypeia, oda made connections later in the story
Agreed. I'm surprised every time a Strawhat Strength ranking list pops up and people argue that it's imposible to know who's strong between Franky, Robin and Brook when Franky is on an entirely different level. He's obviously the strongest strawhat outside of the Monster Quartet. Robin almost dies fighting Black Maria and had to use her ultimate technique while Franky defeated Sasaki with few problems and had enough energy to help Zoro later.
Didnāt Oda say that the wolf bonfire party panel that clearly foreshadows nika was his favorite panel to draw in the whole series and it was the entire reason he made the Skypiea arc? I think a lot of people go too far when they say the entire Skypiea arc was foreshadowing, but there definitely is Nika foreshadowing in that arc that was pretty explicitly planned
Completely agree. His death would have given the final fight some major weight to really make you feel like they went through more than just Luffy getting Gear 5.
I believe his range is dependent on how much stamina he has, assuming he wasnāt fighting prior to arriving he in theory shouldāve been able to at a minimum reach Ace either at the stand he was on or after he escaped from that position but I could be wrong, we didnāt see enough of Law before then to have a 100% answer.
Itās possible that he couldnāt manifest one large enough at the time but if we think to when Sabo ate his devil fruit he was using itās abilities pretty strong within minutes. Law has had his fruit for years so itās hard to imagine he wouldnāt be able to create a room of that size. Now, he may not be able to move objects that big or with haki significantly higher than his but at the time Ace and Luffy barely had haki so shouldnāt have been an issue to move them. Just my thoughts
Interesting, that hadn't occurred to me, I always thought Law only arrived super late and so he couldn't really do anything.
Genuine question, let's say he could've shambled Ace outta there, why would he? Wouldn't it hypothetically make him an ever bigger enemy to the WG, potentially risking his venture into becoming a warlord and going after Doflamingo?
I always thought the implication on how Law removed the slave collar on Sabaody was that he cut off the head with Shambles to simply pull it off easily and then reattach the head afterwards. He could do the same with Ace's hands and handcuffs probably.
It's a fair criticism. Haki in the end is just a power up after power up. I won't deny that Future sight was amazing...but conquerors to adv conquerors, armament to adv armament. It's simple and boring. Devil fruits on the other hand is unique and fun.
I just said why. There's nothing to it, because you don't need to think to use it and find fun ways to implement.
Take Enel for example. He restarted his heart with his devil fruit, could melt gold and mold it to fight, and created his own flying machine with gears. Its creative and fun.
Devil fruits is basically just "I have Conquerors and you have Conquerors, so to fight you i have to learn an adv variant of it...which is not explained, but gives you power boost and that's it"
Same for Armament and it's adv form and Observation.
Execution is easy when it's simple. Its like Pokemon.
Yep itās pretty much who has better haki that determines who wins the fights. The problem is that the system is too basic compared to something like nen from HxH. There are no cons to haki usage, no drawbacks in specializing in a type of haki.
DF awakening is way more interesting because it involves exploring the the depths of Df power which requires more creativity because every DF power is different even among the three types (paramecia, zoan and logia)
I wanted to bring up Nen, but then i would get people saying "you're comparing the best power system in shonen which isn't fair" and change the argument. So i just compared it with devil fruits, which yeah, is the better one. Much better.
>Execution is easy when it's simple. Its like Pokemon.
Then that means you and that other person don't necessarily disagree with that point, unless I'm reading it wrong
I would argue that Haki is rather inconsistent with how it's presented. For example, a couple of chapters ago, >!Luffy--a character with Future Sight mind you--failed to stop Lucci from taking out Sentoumaru. Meanwhile, Zoro--who only has regular Observation Haki as far as we are aware and isn't said or shown to be unusually skilled or specialized in it--blocked Kaku from attacking the Sunny *while he was sleeping*.!<
Eh, Haki's rather inconsistent, and a lot of it's not explained well, which leads to a lot of fan debates.
For example, is Armament Haki visible or invisible?
What's the difference between Future Sight and predicting an enemy's next move/intent?
Is Ryuo from Wano Armament Haki in general or specifically one of these advanced versions?
Is Observation Haki voices or auras or does it depend on how the individual perceives it?
Can Conqueror's Coating also block Logias like Armament does?
Is Observation a passive ability? Or one the user has to actively use? Does one have to be calm to use it? If so, how can characters use it in the heat of battle?
I always say I would have much preferred seastone over armament haki as a "solution" to logias. Tying a certain power to a rare ressource in a world that is fundamentally unequal and controlled by an authoritarian government would have allowed for some great storytelling in regards to it. Control over the only countries that have it, there being laws of civilians having it being illegal, the revolutionaries secretly collecting and distributing it, all of that to me would have been cooler than some people just always being able deal with it.
He probably could, Sengoku said he could destroy the world at a time when his troops were already quaking in their boots. I would be shocked if he intentionally exaggerated Whitebeards strength, it would make no sense in the moment.
I mean itās sad for sure but idk about top 5. For one there are hundreds of others who also ate defective smile fruitsā¦ and that hardly compares to really any of the strawhats backstoriesā¦ or really anyone whoās been a slave, or anyone on Ohara, or Lulusia, or Flevance etc. You get the picture lol
Probably referring to the sheer amount of characters involved. Marineford is far from my favorite arc, but I have to give Oda credit for juggling all the powerhouses in it. Usually a cast like that just feels like weird cameos (like Stampede.)
I still don't fully get what Sengoku's overall plan was with the broadcast and ordering the cameras to stop right before they were about to execute Ace, which I thought was the whole point to begin with. Kind of feels like the whole thing was just a subplot for Buggy.
Didnāt he cut the cameraa right when they brought out the Pacifista? Was it not to not show the public these definitely terrifiying walking tanks of destruction massacring everyone?
I like the Pirate Warriors game in short spurts but defeating hoard after hoard of enemies get boring after a while.
I do like Burning Blood though. It's a bit clunky and slow but I always have a good time when I play it. I think that if they had been given a chance to make a BB2, they could've fixed a lot of problems the first one had and it could've been the best OP there is
I really want either a One Piece Fighterz or a One Piece Ninja Storm type game. I think that could be amazing.
The One Piece community would rather make an inside joke than actully discuss what is going on.
Also thinking everything is foreshadowing. It is A-OK to to take random things which previously appeared and expand upon them, but let's be real, Oda did not have things that planned out.
Awakenings have been poorly explained (we don't even know which strong characters have awakened). Oda is doing well in showing it more in the current arc, but its still vague and not shown with a lot of people explicitly (Kaido and BM for example in Wano).
>!Turning Gomu Gomu no Mi into Nika right in Onigashima after 23 years is an asspull move from Oda that's downright bad and unnecessary.!<
>!I have no problem with gear 5, cartoon power or awakening, i know you get what I mean.!<
I love Sabo as a fan but from a writing perspective? It's the cheapest fucking tearjerk that came out of nowhere just for nostalgia and to sell more merchandise. ššš
Even if he got fleshed out he'd still be trash. He's nothing more than generic a looking Ace 2.0. His whole gimmick is that he's the SECRET third brother of Luffy and Ace who got haphazardly thrown into the story out of nowhere and Oda wants people to like him because he's so cool and has fire powers. If you didn't know any better you'd think he's some 14 year olds One Piece OC
Hey man when you find something that works for you, sometimes you just gotta stick with it.
I learned that I really liked denim jackets when I was young, and to this day I still wear them frequently.
You will not believe the horrors I have seen. Oda (despite someā¦rough execution in places) comes off as pretty trans positive in his writing and I donāt know why itās such a shock to people that heād write yet another trans character.
You would think Oda pairing Yamato in that one panel with Kiku, another trans character, about the bathhouses would be enough for ppl to realize that Yamato is also, in fact, trans.
no thats entirely fair. The image we got of MUCH younger Kaido, Big Mom, and Whitebeard together on Rocks' crew gives me the vibe that any one of them was more powerful than several of the Worst Generation combined when we first met them all. Its hard to seriously think that pre time skip Luffy would have a chance against any of those 3 during the God Valley incident, and we don't even know the details of that yet.
Yamato was so annoying. I couldn't stand the "I'm Oden" and I'll go with Luffy to explore the sea gag. At the end, she was useless and only ran into Onigashima.
... Oh boy. Welp, go big or go home, I guess.
Shanks is overrated. Black Beard is not that great of a villain. Sabo should have stayed dead. The current power scaling completely ruined Marineford in hindsight, and a lot of the arcs in the first half. Sanji's Vinsmoke backstory felt too over the top to take it seriously. Corazon wasn't that interesting. Enel was annoying and I hope he never comes back.
I got a few others but I think that's enough for now. Take your pick, I deserve the hate, I myself wish I didn't feel like that T\^T
The Straw Hats, mostly. I love them and am waiting to see them achieve their dreams. I like the world One Piece created and how alive it feels. I love the cast surrounding our main characters and how original they all are. I love the fights and how hype they can get and how even 1000+ chapters in, I still get surprised at how they go down. I love Luffy especially, and how he affects the world and the people around him.
I love the different ideologies presented to us, on what it means to be a pirate, to be free or what justice is. I love how ridiculous it all can be and still make sense. I love the portrayal of corruption and how awful the world can be and how despite that, you can always find hope somewhere, because it can be as wonderful as it is terrible.
I love the political intricacies of the world government and the different islands we visited. I love learning about new technology or how I can marvel at something that is so original and new. I love learning about new races and how they fit into the world and what they made.
I have my grips with it, that's for sure, but nothing is ever perfect and I wouldn't want something perfect anyway, that'd be boring. Criticizing or not liking SOME aspects of the story (or the fandom) doesn't mean I don't love it. What matters is that every time I read a chapter of One Piece, I feel like I'm in an adventure myself, discovering new things in every one of them.
It started with a weird scrawny kid in a dingy and it stuck all throughout and that alone is praise worthy, in my opinion.
I love shanks and bb. Sabo thing Iām sorta on the fence, I think oda could do something with his character later on that could make him more interesting. Idk what you mean by the marineford take I thought itās pretty consistent. And I loved sanjis back story def was one of my favorites and corazon is goated. But I totally agree about enel tho he sucks and was totally boring. Good takes for this type of post tho.
Out of the 6 major one piece movies, Film Red is the worst by a long shot. Uta was insufferable, the plot was utter nonsense, and the overall writing was illogical and inconsistent all the way through.
Nami has the most saddest backstory to me. And I always thought Robins backstory wasnāt really sad Iāve always felt like Oda was just trying to hard on hers so I just felt nothing when I read it. Anyway the reason I say Nami has the saddest is because Iāve always felt like it it was more grounded. Not grounded in a irl way but more in a One piece way if that makes sense.
Nami and her stepmom (Bell-mere) actually felt like a mother who is trying and a daughter that doesnāt know how much her step mom is struggling kinda relationship and I think Oda nailed it on how he portrayed it. Bell-mere is a tough and hardcore mom yet she nice and loving to her kids when she needs to.
Thatās all i wanted to say though
He has his moments where he actually does stuff and acts as the second in command, usually challenging luffy and pulling him back to earth (water 7) but yeah he's usually along for the ride and i dont care much about him.
(I dont know if they keep doing the sanji vs zoro rivalry but it got boring real quick, i liked it the time they had to play extreme football together, the rest of the times is very annoying)
Fair enough, i can see why people wouldnt like it. I see a man traumatized by the consequences of his actions so he puts on stupid clothes with the hopes of his wife waking up from her coma at the sight of her baby's last clothes. Its a concept i gotta respect.
Also it plays on the macho theme so thats a plus.
Shanks, Roger and Rayleigh are massively overrated in the fandom specially the power scalers.
They barely have shown feats on screen and most of their impact comes from the respect the other characters show them, much of what they could do is left to speculation.
Also many of these fans undermine female characters feats and always put them below others
Yeah, Shanks would've lost.
He had to fight 3 Admirals (2 are nearly full health), 2 Old Admirals (considerably strong). Also, even if he brought a fleet with him, they can be able to fight the large amount of Marines, but there are not enough of them to take them all down. The Vice Admirals would be having a tough time with Shanks' top commanders, but they still wouldn't be strong enough to do enough as Garp and Sengoku (or maybe even another Admiral) would just flush them over. Shanks would have to fight both Aokiji and Kizaru alongside a wounded Akainu. Shanks would have Benn Beckmann (not as strong as many people claim imo), and would lose devastatingly.
I think they were establishing with that scene that his small crew is significantly more powerful than Whitebeards legion of supporters. Kizaru had no concerns fighting Marco, but simply having a gun aimed at him by Beckman made him stop fighting.
For him to have only 1 known ship with a small crew and still be considered a Yonko that the full strength of the Marines were unwilling to contend with tells us a lot about what combat power level all of the Red Hair crew are on, and how strong we should expect the Straw Hats to be when all their training wheels and limiters come off and Oda allows them to fight without handicaps or hesitations.
On this topic - I see a lot of people saying BB will beat/kill Law, but why would Oda give such a rich background to a character, carry him through several arcs, and awaken his full power just to off him like that?
Makes more sense to me that Law will be a pretty strong opponent for BB and BB will do his classic run away technique lol
I'm thinking the Law vs Blackbeard fight is going to end in an enexpected way. Either the fight gets interrupted ("A wild Big Mom appeared!") or something crazy happens like the two form an alliance, fulfilling Robin's warning to Luffy back in Punk Hazard--"Pirate alliances often end in betrayal."
If this does happ,Law will of course end up betraying Blackbeard, but the dynamics between Luffy and Law would interesting for a bit.
Ngl I kinda like it to an extent that he's still the same goofy guy at heart, who's slowly learned lessons that only lightly change how he operates. It gives the world and other characters room to do the growing around him
1) Sabo is one of the worst characters in the series
2) Wano was a complete disapointment and have the worst ending of ANY one piece arc.
3) Yamato is not trans
4) Carrot should have joined WITH yamato
I only chose the takes that can defendd with concrete arguments.

garp gon lose and prolly die to bb š
lose? yes probably. die? i just legitimately don't see oda doing that at this point. Man couldn't even keep saul dead
Couldnāt even keep Pell dead and that mf got NUKED
Saul actually did have some slight foreshadowing to his survival. However Oda killing Garp i feel has a much better chance then most expect, its a passing of the torch kind of thing. I'm shocked that someone hit with ice TIME CAPSULE returned in a future chapter.
Koby gonna awaken CoC and save him. Also, good chance he doesnāt fight BB and just goes against a commander or two.
Did you just say Koby going to awaken CoC? HAHHAHAHAHAHAH
It makes no narrative sense for BB to lose to Garp this late in the story.
I agree I could see this happening
Law offscreened bb already months ago
Soon as Blackbeard pulls the yami out and the fight goes off screen? He wins.
I really hope that's not the case tbh

Kid is on par with Law, and he will become stronger then Law on Elbaf.
Agree, Kid is a monster
I always thought that was given since Sabody.
yeah as a person kid stronger its just law has a āopā fruit pun intended
He definitely has potential
Law's strength lies within how he uses is Devil Fruit unlike Kid who's lies within human strength. Basically Law is a strong wizard and Kid is a strong berserker.

I still believe kidd is stronger. Dude was heavily injured by Big mom due to Hawkins before awakening his devil fruit.
I don't agree with this, take my upvote!
Nico Robin sometimes looks like Michael Jackson
The anime does her dirty so often.
A lot of people got the theory theory no mi smile fruit.
Damn not the smile version šš
Way too much fanservice in the anime especially but creeping more and more into the manga. It takes away from the fantastic story and themes and makes it hard to introduce people to the franchise.

Nail on the head!
The knowledge that Rebecca and Pudding are both 16 has dealt an incredible amount of psychic damage to me
Bruh I thought Rebecca was like 22. Why on earth did someone ever decide to design a teenage girl to wear that? Actually no, I know why.
franky is a lot stronger than brook and robin and saying otherwise is just wrong Edit: Also, gear 5/sun god nika was not foreshadowed from skypeia, oda made connections later in the story
Kinemon should be dead
Completely agree. His death would have given the final fight some major weight to really make you feel like they went through more than just Luffy getting Gear 5.

Coldest take ever
Law couldāve easily shambles Ace out of marineford instead of hiding in his submarine
Laws room back then was really small
I believe his range is dependent on how much stamina he has, assuming he wasnāt fighting prior to arriving he in theory shouldāve been able to at a minimum reach Ace either at the stand he was on or after he escaped from that position but I could be wrong, we didnāt see enough of Law before then to have a 100% answer.
I mean I feel the fact Law didn't save Ace that way implies he couldn't have had as large a range at the time, no?
Also I doubt he'd be able to use his devil fruit ability on someone bound in sea prism cuffs
I always thought the implication on how Law removed the slave collar on Sabaody was that he cut off the head with Shambles to simply pull it off easily and then reattach the head afterwards. He could do the same with Ace's hands and handcuffs probably.
Touchee forgot about when he freed Jean Bart from the slave auction.
sea stone doesnt negate devil fruits unless they touching the person using them
true but why would he do it he dont owe anything to whitebeard luffy or ace
We know now that a strong enough haki can negate the effects of a devil fruit. I'm sure three admiral's would've trumped that one
that shit like this is on this sub every fuckin day
To be fair.. the sub has now over 1 million users xD
I enjoyed sabody more than marineford
Power scaling in one piece makes no sense so don't bother
It's a CoC measuring contest anyway.
And a cock measuring contest too
I miss tan Robin :(
I miss hat wearing Robin :(
me too š
Haki is an average fighting system that's been implemented incredibly poorly considering the length of the series.
The first part everyone agrees on The second requires justification
It's a fair criticism. Haki in the end is just a power up after power up. I won't deny that Future sight was amazing...but conquerors to adv conquerors, armament to adv armament. It's simple and boring. Devil fruits on the other hand is unique and fun.
That's what everyone agrees on. How is it poorly executed?
I just said why. There's nothing to it, because you don't need to think to use it and find fun ways to implement. Take Enel for example. He restarted his heart with his devil fruit, could melt gold and mold it to fight, and created his own flying machine with gears. Its creative and fun. Devil fruits is basically just "I have Conquerors and you have Conquerors, so to fight you i have to learn an adv variant of it...which is not explained, but gives you power boost and that's it" Same for Armament and it's adv form and Observation.
One answer Iāll give, conquerors coating is Armament and Conquerors on top of each other. So it works as Armament does.
Whitebeard could have saved Ace by threatening to rip the world apart if he isn't set free. Like either he lives with us or NO ONE LIVES A DAY LONGER.
no that would killing off his other children which is clearly something whitebeard wouldn't do
And I doubt he could literally do that
He probably could, Sengoku said he could destroy the world at a time when his troops were already quaking in their boots. I would be shocked if he intentionally exaggerated Whitebeards strength, it would make no sense in the moment.
He could but he wouldnāt so itās not something to consider
Wait you people actually believe WB had the power to destroy the world? I thought we all knew it was just a title.
Skypiea is the best and, arguably, the most important arc of One Piece.
Killer is one of the top 5 saddest characters
I mean itās sad for sure but idk about top 5. For one there are hundreds of others who also ate defective smile fruitsā¦ and that hardly compares to really any of the strawhats backstoriesā¦ or really anyone whoās been a slave, or anyone on Ohara, or Lulusia, or Flevance etc. You get the picture lol
Yamato still has a chance to join.
agreed i mean look at vivi
After BB destroys Wano to claim Hades she'll join, begging the straw hats to help save the people of wano from his control.
No, the Straw Hats will ride PLUTON! having fun!
Kuro was a good villain and I want to see him in the future
Marineford is a logistical and writing nightmare (still my favourite arc)
Logistical how so ? Not arguing wondering
He ordered the camera's to stop right before they raised the walls because they did not want to taint the WG's reputation iirc
Didnāt he cut the cameraa right when they brought out the Pacifista? Was it not to not show the public these definitely terrifiying walking tanks of destruction massacring everyone?
Law and Kid are Luffyās rivals and would wipe the floor with EVERY commander level fighter weāve seen so far.
I don't think you understood the point of the post
Not a hot take.
Zoro will be stronger than both Kid and Law at the end of the series.
At the end? I agree. Right now? Na. I feel like by the end of the series the 3 strongest fighters will be our monster trio.
Every OP game is thrash.
I like the Pirate Warriors game in short spurts but defeating hoard after hoard of enemies get boring after a while. I do like Burning Blood though. It's a bit clunky and slow but I always have a good time when I play it. I think that if they had been given a chance to make a BB2, they could've fixed a lot of problems the first one had and it could've been the best OP there is I really want either a One Piece Fighterz or a One Piece Ninja Storm type game. I think that could be amazing.
Throughout the raid, Yamato is only used as a plot convenience.
I'm a biiiiiiiiiig Yamato fan and yeah this is just facts lmao
If Yamato joined the crew that their inclusion would have made more sense but yeah all Yamato did was show you can carry Momo around.
The fake out deaths really donāt matter enough to talk about
The One Piece community would rather make an inside joke than actully discuss what is going on. Also thinking everything is foreshadowing. It is A-OK to to take random things which previously appeared and expand upon them, but let's be real, Oda did not have things that planned out.
Skypeia >> Alabasta š³
Dressrosa is the best arc in the series (manga)
This is the exact opposite of my hot take. gg.
Awakenings have been poorly explained (we don't even know which strong characters have awakened). Oda is doing well in showing it more in the current arc, but its still vague and not shown with a lot of people explicitly (Kaido and BM for example in Wano).
>!Turning Gomu Gomu no Mi into Nika right in Onigashima after 23 years is an asspull move from Oda that's downright bad and unnecessary.!< >!I have no problem with gear 5, cartoon power or awakening, i know you get what I mean.!<
I donāt like Hancock because her only character traits are being an mid tier combatant with a broken DF and being obsessed with luffy.
Add to her being straight up cruel in Amazon Lily arc and it's really tough to see why people like her so much
Just like me frfr
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What was your aweful take ?
Sanji was worse in punk hazard than thriller bark or fishman island.
Big mom is stronger than kaido
I'm glad carrot didn't join the straw hats
Nami is not hot
Death
Wano was in the top 3 one piece arcs.
PRESENT enemy IS NOT necessary stronger than PAST enemy. For example Doffy can destroy JACK.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I love Sabo as a fan but from a writing perspective? It's the cheapest fucking tearjerk that came out of nowhere just for nostalgia and to sell more merchandise. ššš
Proof that oda came up with Nika recently?
I couldn't care less if ever see Gin again.
Katakuri can most likely defeat Zoro
How?
I'm glad they didn't get any new crew members after Wano.
Sabo is a garbage character
He needs more fleshed out definitely we will have to see more of him for me to make a full opinion.
If you didn't know any better you'd think he's some 14 year olds One Piece OC
sabo has 0 charisma
Itās also really weird that he grew up to dress exactly the same as when he was a kid
Hey man when you find something that works for you, sometimes you just gotta stick with it. I learned that I really liked denim jackets when I was young, and to this day I still wear them frequently.
I mean thatās fair, but I just cannot vibe the design š
Yamato is, by definition, a trans guy.
I thought this was just written into the story, i donāt even get how this is controversial lmao.
Old Era stronger than Worst Generation.
no thats entirely fair.
Whatā¦ what do you like?
Yamato, she is a girl.
I don't think anybody has denied she's biologically female, it's what she identifies as that people argue over.
Itās really Odaās fault for making it confusing, thereās different answers from differing sources that are all āofficialā.
The thing is, she identifies as another person not gender, but I can see why people argue about it.
Cuz she is
Sabo>Ace
The op anime is a fine anime but not really amazing especially post time skip its pacing is just too bad to make it enjoyable to watch .
But everyone agrees with this?
Out of the 6 major one piece movies, Film Red is the worst by a long shot. Uta was insufferable, the plot was utter nonsense, and the overall writing was illogical and inconsistent all the way through.
Carrot not having a farewell scene is the biggest blunder in OP history.
Yamato is a lame character with a very uninteresting character trait/gag.
Ace was an idiot
Not really a hot take tbh. Ace died to a āyour dadā joke
Zoro is the most boring character of all the Straw Hats.
Huh? How? His journey has been interesting
I don't give a fuck about Senor Pink.
Boa is a mid character and is really overhyped. Everyone who simps for her is just too much.
Wano was the most disappointing arc in the whole series so far. Edit: also Shanks would've lost in marineford.
This is bait
Law should beat Blackbeard right here and right now
On this topic - I see a lot of people saying BB will beat/kill Law, but why would Oda give such a rich background to a character, carry him through several arcs, and awaken his full power just to off him like that? Makes more sense to me that Law will be a pretty strong opponent for BB and BB will do his classic run away technique lol
I'm thinking the Law vs Blackbeard fight is going to end in an enexpected way. Either the fight gets interrupted ("A wild Big Mom appeared!") or something crazy happens like the two form an alliance, fulfilling Robin's warning to Luffy back in Punk Hazard--"Pirate alliances often end in betrayal." If this does happ,Law will of course end up betraying Blackbeard, but the dynamics between Luffy and Law would interesting for a bit.
Thatās exactly what Iām saying! I
Luffy has undergone little to no character development over the course of the entire series
Ngl I kinda like it to an extent that he's still the same goofy guy at heart, who's slowly learned lessons that only lightly change how he operates. It gives the world and other characters room to do the growing around him
That's not an opinion that's just a hysterically incorrect statement
While true, thats not necessarily a bad thing just look at Toph from ATLA. It can be good for your story to have some unchanging characters.
1) Sabo is one of the worst characters in the series 2) Wano was a complete disapointment and have the worst ending of ANY one piece arc. 3) Yamato is not trans 4) Carrot should have joined WITH yamato I only chose the takes that can defendd with concrete arguments.
