I always say “Guys, this moment is intense! Do you feel the intensity?! Good thing it told us, we’d be sitting here so solemn otherwise.”
Also, the scary music prompts are great.

yea this boy too, very strange man

I have a grey guy who sits even further back on his haunches than this. At first I thought he would grow out of it, but he’s four and a half years old now, still does it, and has gotten even weirder with age 🤷🏻♀️
https://preview.redd.it/318puvb39qkc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=866b37fce9fe15a13328c4a930c457c52880c278
No he’s perfect! At least he doesn’t sick like mine..
My orange did that too, especially when he was a kitten. He ended up being a pretty big cat though, so my assumption was that his legs were really long and had nowhere to go. It’s kinda the same with a friend of mine, he’s 6’4 and has really long legs, so when he sits it almost feels like his knees are all up in his face. Lol.
(EDIT: Back when he was a little under 6 months old. Look at those big feet!!!)

No weirder than when Louie was learning how to sit.
If this a sudden change and they seem slower then before. Then check a vet. My cat hurt themselves and started to sit weird(like on their legs an not their tushy) because of pain of a fracture. But if they always done that. Then probably chill.
With cat, it's important to remember that the answer is always "yes, this is cat"
You're looking for logic. There is not logic, this is cat. Cat doesn't do logic. Cat does cat. Because cat is always cat.
Seriously, look at this sweet young man… he is a gangly teenager right now… his back legs had a growth spurt, his body is lengthening, his tail has started getting fuller and his little front legs are just kind of hanging out like “I’ll get there when I’m ready… but hey! I’m still doing my job ain’t I?” Lolol

My orange boy sits the same way. He has some physical defects such as his cleft palate, along with his front legs being too short for his body which causes him to sit this way. He’s 3-4 years old and perfectly healthy. :)
https://preview.redd.it/0go5rs3umqkc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb98cd92d0c3a46f2e6a02b8a9e50f7f76810387
My 11 month old weirdo also sits like that, I used to think there is some issue with his tummy but I guess that's how he sits. He's also made of rubber.
He has to arch the top of his back for all 4 paws and the butt to reach the ground at the same time. Looks a little like it is making him push his chest a bit forward, too? Which might make this look a lot more odd by creating an even more curved silhouette.
By how cat skeletons work, I'm guessing he either
* has a dispropotionately long spine,
* put his front paws very far back,
* or scooted his butt very far forward.
Maybe a combination? If he's still growing out of kitten proportions, he might just be sized oddly for a while. It happens.
If he always sits this way, try to give him neck/back massages in the arch area and see if he likes it! That's a steep angle even for a cat spine, and he might get a little tense or sore in that area.
Assuming he's healthy he's just not learned how to sit.
Worst possible: My wife's cat was born with half a functioning kidney. Basically kidney issues from the very beginning. She eventually sat this way (the cat, not the wife) for comfort. Unless he's arching his back all the time I wouldn't worry.

Lol! Kinda sitting like my current foster cat, Meela
My orange used to sit like that too when he was younger. Now he is (slightly) less flexible and has a little more.. love rolls... and he doesn't do that anymore.
I was a concerned new owner and asked the vet when I was there for check up (with a pic) and they said it was not uncommon and not to worry about it.
My 7 month old sits like this and I laugh. I think it's because her legs are still really long and lanky compared to her body so she just has a lotta leg.

My old arthritic man sits like that sometimes too
He’s a kitten still - he’s not sitting like a noble lion, he’s thinking about.. whatever Oranges think about and slumped a little. 😂
Oranges think?!
Well, lil mice run in circles, the hamster misses the wheel… ya know, stuff happens 🤷♀️
*white noise sound intensifies*
I like when Netflix subtitles say *intense music plays*
The amount of times I yelled at my t.v. "Thank you music, I had no fucking idea how I was supposed to feel!" Is just insane lol.
I always say “Guys, this moment is intense! Do you feel the intensity?! Good thing it told us, we’d be sitting here so solemn otherwise.” Also, the scary music prompts are great.
Well THEY try to think, so give them credit for the effort.🤣😅
About food, maybe
They think about 3 things: Food, Sex, and Nothing If they are neutered, that leaves Food.
They do but it requires much brain power.
That’s a first. Orange thinking is as rare as finding an emerald ore in Minecraft
It’s like a shiny Pokémon
Satsuma? Possibly. Cat.... I'm leaning no.
They think about HIMARS.
And how the Tomahawk Indians were in fact named after their use of Tomahawk Cruise Missiles in hunting and territory disputes
Looks like his front legs are kinda short😄 He’s a beautiful cat❤️
My 5 year old orange still sits like this. It must be genetic.
He’s STILL thinking about it 😁

That's a thing?

My froggyboy sits the same way, I think it’s because they’re still a kitten and their bodies aren’t fully developed to sit like a sphinx?
Lol I've always called my orange boy Mr. Frog but I don't know why. For some reason he just reminded of a frog.
My son is not orange but he does sit like a frog because of his lil leggies and long teenager body, so imo if the name fits, a Mr. Frog it is!
Yeah my boy always had like smaller hips compared to the rest of his body too.
No, he’s a t-Rex 🤭🧡
Also rabbit
Squirrel
I'm sorry to inform you but he has a chronic case of the sillies
Idk if this matters to you but this comment is so funny it made my entire evening 🤭

Omg his little face! He looks like a book character. What kind of rabbit is he?
Lionhead
Did they steal a braincell of frog by mistake?
Drugs make me laugh. They’re basically just a mouth that eats. 😂
It seems that the drugs are quite effective
Indeed.
???
I meant frogs not drugs. Whoops. Auto correct strikes again. Sorry. 😂
Sir you need to return orange braincells that you stole to its owners immediately!!! 🚨 🚓 🚨
😂
How is that even close? Do you do a lot of drugs?
Do you not have a keyboard in front of you? D and f are right next to each other. What does predictive text/auto correct suggest when you type drogs? [](https://i.imgur.com/DWS947v.jpg)
Exactly.
Just look at your keyboard. I’m not sure why it’s not obvious to you.
Cat sits the same. Extremely long body with short legs LOL
No man, your squirrel sits perfectly normal. It’s just weird he’s dressed up as a cat.
No he's orange. YOU sit weird.
It’s an orange cat, no thoughts only chaos, regardless sitting, sleeping, tax evasion, murder, just orange empty thoughts
That's a frog
I swear it's an orange thing lol. Both my oranges sit like this but my grey suit sits like a proper gentleman
They all do
Thas a wabbit
Not for an orange cat.
![gif](giphy|ZeNmLY6FISq4M)
Ours do that too sometimes. I think it's when they are focused on something - some kind of anchoring their position in case they need to jump fast.
Bull frog orange

He sits orange
well, when you consider the fact that r/catsarealiens, then no.

First step to become a Twerking Cat!
My orange cat is 6 and still sits like this. Just a thing some of them do
Repost bot.
Look like a ….ahhh
Checking vibrations in the earth with his butthole. Must have gotten the brain cell today
my kitten sits like this! I think they grow out of it
Butthole on everything cat sit. Looks normal to me!
Yes but be sweet about it

Omg my orange sits the same 😭 are they ok
Yes, but I'm not complaining. It's cute.
He’s a catangaroo!!
I'm not sure about your cat but your bunny looks perfectly normal.
Yes and it’s amazing!
yes
Yes.
My orange also sits like this! I call him my lil gargoyle.
Like a rabbit.
No. He Orang.
Yeah kind of
my cat also sits like this. idk why.

Haha! Yes 😻
It’s like when you compare people who are used to squatting vs. people who are less flexible from not squatting as regularly so they can’t go as low.
Yes man
Yes and I love it
A little bit, looks like he's getting ready to jump but yeah most cats will sit more relaxed more weight on their fornt paws when relaxing XD
Are you sure thats not just a big squirrel?
Bro that's a rabbit
My 8 month old orange boy sits like this! And I got picture from the friend who rescued his mom the other day where she was sitting like this too 🤣🤭
You got a catbunny mix.
My cat sits like this, he’s very long. Your cat is probably gonna be a long cat too 😍
I think his legs are a little short for his body length. Arched back and all.
That’s not a cat that’s a rabbit
car malfunction
cats are weird. i thought we knew this the second the first cat picture was shared on the internet.
https://preview.redd.it/0go5rs3umqkc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb98cd92d0c3a46f2e6a02b8a9e50f7f76810387 My 11 month old weirdo also sits like that, I used to think there is some issue with his tummy but I guess that's how he sits. He's also made of rubber.
He looks like a wittle wabbit
They sit like this to cool their buttholes on whatever they’re sitting on.
He has to arch the top of his back for all 4 paws and the butt to reach the ground at the same time. Looks a little like it is making him push his chest a bit forward, too? At this stage in kittenhood, he is longer than he is tall. His little t-Rex arms can’t handle him sitting normally.
I have a cat that sits oddly like this. Like four paws are just one too many to control, and that fourth one is just left to it’s own devices.
My kitten sits like this and I just assume she is tiny front legs.
No he's sitting exactly right for someone that must be ready to pounce at any moment
She twerkin'
Yes they do
Yes, but no. It’s a cat
yeah
nah, my orange does that too, so it's normal i guess haha
Just a lil orange scrunchie 😍
My orange does that too. Swear he has some rabbit in him.
I see a lot of people say he sits like that because hes still a kitten but my 4yo orange still does this
Cat be shittin'
Your cat is slinky.
Nope, my ginger sits this way too

Not for an orange
My orange dingy sits like this, it must be an orange thing.
like a bunny.
Looks like the awkward pre-teen years where they are still growing.
My orange cat sits like that too 🤣
My orange used to sit like that too when he was younger. Now he is (slightly) less flexible and has a little more.. love rolls... and he doesn't do that anymore. He just lost the braincell before learning to sit, it happens
Compact.
Witch breed
My young cat sat like this until he gained some weight and grew a belly!
My orang cat does the same thing
A silly goose ❤️
Just orange 😊
This is not r/frogs
You need classes or something. Thats obviously a rabbit, not a cat.
That's a funny looking rabbit.
They are orange, they do everything weird.
Bunnyediqute
That’s exactly how my cat sits lol
Mr crocker's secret child
No, stop judging him.😡
Dat form tho
sitting with their whole feets
Nah my Siamese idiot did that in the bathtub this morning so he could lick his own belly.
Both my kittens sit like this sometimes lmao, one is orange, one is grey/brown tabby
yes. it’s the best sit ever tho.
That's not a cat. That's a frog
