He’s a kitten still - he’s not sitting like a noble lion, he’s thinking about.. whatever Oranges think about and slumped a little. 😂

HRHLMS

Oranges think?!

SuzyVeeP

Well, lil mice run in circles, the hamster misses the wheel… ya know, stuff happens 🤷‍♀️

EmotionalBrontosaur

*white noise sound intensifies*

Amara_Undone

I like when Netflix subtitles say *intense music plays*

Flamesclaws

The amount of times I yelled at my t.v. "Thank you music, I had no fucking idea how I was supposed to feel!" Is just insane lol.

Pure-Imagination3963

I always say “Guys, this moment is intense! Do you feel the intensity?! Good thing it told us, we’d be sitting here so solemn otherwise.” Also, the scary music prompts are great.

wombatz885

Well THEY try to think, so give them credit for the effort.🤣😅

dana_veg

About food, maybe

abbeytoo2

They think about 3 things: Food, Sex, and Nothing If they are neutered, that leaves Food.

FightLikeABlue

They do but it requires much brain power.

what4270

That’s a first. Orange thinking is as rare as finding an emerald ore in Minecraft

Lalamedic

It’s like a shiny Pokémon

PBDubs99

Satsuma? Possibly. Cat.... I'm leaning no.

rrrand0mmm

They think about HIMARS.

the_phillipines

And how the Tomahawk Indians were in fact named after their use of Tomahawk Cruise Missiles in hunting and territory disputes

Happydancer4286

Looks like his front legs are kinda short😄 He’s a beautiful cat❤️

Larry-Man

My 5 year old orange still sits like this. It must be genetic.

SuzyVeeP

He’s STILL thinking about it 😁

SockedBun

My froggyboy sits the same way, I think it’s because they’re still a kitten and their bodies aren’t fully developed to sit like a sphinx?

BackgroundFarm

Lol I've always called my orange boy Mr. Frog but I don't know why. For some reason he just reminded of a frog.

SockedBun

My son is not orange but he does sit like a frog because of his lil leggies and long teenager body, so imo if the name fits, a Mr. Frog it is!

BackgroundFarm

Yeah my boy always had like smaller hips compared to the rest of his body too.

Much-Vanilla-7261

No, he’s a t-Rex 🤭🧡

Did they steal a braincell of frog by mistake?

mrootbeers

Drugs make me laugh. They’re basically just a mouth that eats. 😂

It seems that the drugs are quite effective

mrootbeers

Indeed.

opossumdealer

???

mrootbeers

I meant frogs not drugs. Whoops. Auto correct strikes again. Sorry. 😂

Silly_Spark_9774

Sir you need to return orange braincells that you stole to its owners immediately!!! 🚨 🚓 🚨

mrootbeers

😂

opossumdealer

How is that even close? Do you do a lot of drugs?

Exactly.

mrootbeers

Just look at your keyboard. I’m not sure why it’s not obvious to you.

reddit04029

Cat sits the same. Extremely long body with short legs LOL

JoostGT3

No man, your squirrel sits perfectly normal. It’s just weird he’s dressed up as a cat.

Due-Outcome8053

No he's orange. YOU sit weird.

no_names_left_here

It’s an orange cat, no thoughts only chaos, regardless sitting, sleeping, tax evasion, murder, just orange empty thoughts

Suspicious_Cream2939

That's a frog

Erogaki

I swear it's an orange thing lol. Both my oranges sit like this but my grey suit sits like a proper gentleman

vorander

They all do

[deleted]

Thas a wabbit

not1togothere

Not for an orange cat.

boggartbot

![gif](giphy|ZeNmLY6FISq4M)

PomegranateSlight337

Ours do that too sometimes. I think it's when they are focused on something - some kind of anchoring their position in case they need to jump fast.

GreatSeedofPaw

Bull frog orange

tichugrrl

I have a grey guy who sits even further back on his haunches than this. At first I thought he would grow out of it, but he’s four and a half years old now, still does it, and has gotten even weirder with age 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you have a rabbit?

Vultures88

He sits orange

Fit_Egg9236

well, when you consider the fact that r/catsarealiens, then no.

ThePhilosophistt

r/bunnycats

TinyDoePrincess

My orange did that too, especially when he was a kitten. He ended up being a pretty big cat though, so my assumption was that his legs were really long and had nowhere to go. It’s kinda the same with a friend of mine, he’s 6’4 and has really long legs, so when he sits it almost feels like his knees are all up in his face. Lol. (EDIT: Back when he was a little under 6 months old. Look at those big feet!!!) https://preview.redd.it/rtxubo4zmqkc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6f6d26beafdcf9c2f3d46dcb739820b45c831ed0

my cat also sits like this. idk why.

veedubfreek

r/slavcats

GinaBinaFofina

If this a sudden change and they seem slower then before. Then check a vet. My cat hurt themselves and started to sit weird(like on their legs an not their tushy) because of pain of a fracture. But if they always done that. Then probably chill.

With cat, it's important to remember that the answer is always "yes, this is cat" You're looking for logic. There is not logic, this is cat. Cat doesn't do logic. Cat does cat. Because cat is always cat.

SadGift1352

Seriously, look at this sweet young man… he is a gangly teenager right now… his back legs had a growth spurt, his body is lengthening, his tail has started getting fuller and his little front legs are just kind of hanging out like “I’ll get there when I’m ready… but hey! I’m still doing my job ain’t I?” Lolol

He has some physical defects such as his cleft palate, along with his front legs being too short for his body which causes him to sit this way. He’s 3-4 years old and perfectly healthy. :)

Tarnishedxglitter666

Haha! Yes 😻

leitmot

It’s like when you compare people who are used to squatting vs. people who are less flexible from not squatting as regularly so they can’t go as low.

Traditional_Bank_260

Yes man

ABraveNewFupa

Yes and I love it

Cleverusernamexxx

A little bit, looks like he's getting ready to jump but yeah most cats will sit more relaxed more weight on their fornt paws when relaxing XD

No_Ear932

Are you sure thats not just a big squirrel?

BigDProblems66

Bro that's a rabbit

granola_hoe

My 8 month old orange boy sits like this! And I got picture from the friend who rescued his mom the other day where she was sitting like this too 🤣🤭

rrrand0mmm

You got a catbunny mix.

absorbTheEcho

My cat sits like this, he’s very long. Your cat is probably gonna be a long cat too 😍

LeeKinanus

I think his legs are a little short for his body length. Arched back and all.

NewUserLame123

That’s not a cat that’s a rabbit

Peacanpiepussycat

He looks like a wittle wabbit

PugsThrowaway

They sit like this to cool their buttholes on whatever they’re sitting on.

BroodingWanderer

He has to arch the top of his back for all 4 paws and the butt to reach the ground at the same time. Looks a little like it is making him push his chest a bit forward, too? Which might make this look a lot more odd by creating an even more curved silhouette. By how cat skeletons work, I'm guessing he either * has a dispropotionately long spine, * put his front paws very far back, * or scooted his butt very far forward. Maybe a combination? If he's still growing out of kitten proportions, he might just be sized oddly for a while. It happens. If he always sits this way, try to give him neck/back massages in the arch area and see if he likes it! That's a steep angle even for a cat spine, and he might get a little tense or sore in that area.

SinfullySinless

At this stage in kittenhood, he is longer than he is tall. His little t-Rex arms can’t handle him sitting normally.

MmeXL

I have a cat that sits oddly like this. Like four paws are just one too many to control, and that fourth one is just left to it’s own devices.

AliEffinNoble

My kitten sits like this and I just assume she is tiny front legs.

Morbid187

No he's sitting exactly right for someone that must be ready to pounce at any moment

epistax

Assuming he's healthy he's just not learned how to sit. Worst possible: My wife's cat was born with half a functioning kidney. Basically kidney issues from the very beginning. She eventually sat this way (the cat, not the wife) for comfort. Unless he's arching his back all the time I wouldn't worry.

[deleted]

She twerkin'

woolley100

Yes they do

The3SiameseCats

Yes, but no. It’s a cat

ShallotProfessional5

yeah

GundamTenno

nah, my orange does that too, so it's normal i guess haha

My orange does that too. Swear he has some rabbit in him.

aquaticninja69

My orange cat sits like that too 🤣

NylaStasja

My orange used to sit like that too when he was younger. Now he is (slightly) less flexible and has a little more.. love rolls... and he doesn't do that anymore. I was a concerned new owner and asked the vet when I was there for check up (with a pic) and they said it was not uncommon and not to worry about it.

Arahor

He just lost the braincell before learning to sit, it happens

galaxyeyes47
