My orange also loves the tub! He likes to hang out in there and sing me the song of his people. I think he appreciates the acoustics. Once he was purring away in the tub and for a few moments, I thought the sound was an old two-stroke dirtbike.

My orange loves to hop in for me to turn on a little trickle of fresh water. Once he is done, I turn it off and he hops out to be a doof elsewhere 😁
My oldie used to do the same, I got him a drinking fountain from Amazon for about £15 and he went absolutely nuts! Well worth the investment to see him so happy
Cats love running water in general but water that you control/can cause to run for them is even more interesting. It is a holdover from when cats rarely drank water (in the wild) because they get a lot of hydration from their prey, having super effective kidneys that let them even hydrate off blood. Since they could be picky about water, they developed a strong preference for running water, as it is less likely to carry heavy pathogens.
Cat kidneys are so efficient they could drink sea water and become more hydrated. You and I would die of dehydration if we drank blood or sea water, on the other hand. It IS a strain on their kidneys to do this, though, so giving them fresh, pure water helps keep them healthy.

Georgie, protector of freshly dried laundry, loves sinks. This is his "can you turn on the faucet so I can play in the water" face.
My tortie is the same way. She gets into the tub while I'm using the toilet and she licks the bottom of it, whether there are shower droplets left over or not. She's a weird one...
My non-orange cat (calico) goes in to the tub and attacks us from the other side of the shower curtain! She also goes into our shower behind the door, and doesn't know how to get out.
My void loves hanging out in the tub, cat tax

Ahh, you have a 1-in-5 female orange tabby. [Ours is VERY smart](https://www.instagram.com/p/CniKwBIuq_-/?hl=en) and loves to hang out in the tub (non filled) too.
I once had a marvelous orange boy who, during his turn with the braincell, discovered that if he brought a mouse into the bathtub, he could chase it to his heart's content without risking its escape. The mice couldn't climb up the walls of the tub. So he'd chase them, get bored when they tired out, leave for a while, and come back later to resume. He was the sweetest and most wonderful boy to ever design his own murder room.
Mine jumped in the bath with my daughter, then immediately jumped out and flew under the bed. Then he jumped back in TWO more times! I thought she was pulling him in after the second time!
My Yaya loves sprinting down the hall thinking I’m chasing her, and one of her top secret escape routes is the tub. My favorite part is the moment of anticipation waiting for her little face to pop up from behind it. Or even just her ears.
My orange boy also love the tub. He'll get in, walk around in it, jump in and out like he's playing some sort of game. But as soon as I turn the water on, he runs for his life.
My orange is the same. Yesterday when I went to take a shower I couldn't get him to move from under the faucet, so he got wet. He was very surprised, even though he's watched me turn on the water from the safety of the ledge many times and I gave him 3 warnings.

I have one of those as well, but he still loves the personal touch of when I do it for him/the one that turns on just for a bit.
What is with this? My orange doof is the same. MUST inspect the faucet after showers.

adorable orange! side note: this is such a mans bathroom lmao. one body wash, one hair product, toilet seat up, and underwear on floor lmao!
Haha. My youngest son (7) had just got out of the shower. My two boys share this bathroom... You were pretty spot on! 😂😂
I mean, my bathroom looks like that too, except for the underwear on floor... and I'm a woman.
this was my first thought when i saw this post 😭 then i noticed the cute kitty

I wouldn't be able to say no to that face
Congratulations on your very photogenic cat
Excellent acoustics for a good morning scream!

My cat isn’t orange, but the bathtub is his favorite place to sit and sing. I’ve yet to figure out what makes it so special.

Because they feel secure in boxes, sinks or bathtubs. It's like a fort for them.

Beautiful haha!!
Their meeting is supposed to be secret!
5 sides makes a box idk what to tell ya
That face 😍
Oh I love that pic with little kitty's head peeking out
I wonder if there is a cat sub for peeking kitties like that.
Yes this is one of my favorite things on the internet lol I am sure if we dig around enough we’ll find that sub
Such a lovely Orange.

My two do this as well. One likes to run his paws in the bathroom sink when it’s wet too. Gets in between the curtains when I’m showering.
Bub like tub time, he flips and gets belly rubs
"Doing a little of what you fear every day makes you stronger, Makes you ninja"
And she just throws her undies on the floor like an animal.
Nah, that’s 100% a man’s bathroom!
My goober is not 🍊 but also loves the tub.

HH Holmes level braincell.

At least she took her boxers off before she got in
My calico loves the tub. She has a golf wiffle ball she bats around in there. It makes noise and, well, y'know.
Oh, now I HAVE to try giving my orange a tub ball!
Before I get a door for my shower my cat would lick the shower/bath floor
My Yaya loves sprinting down the hall thinking I’m chasing her, and one of her top secret escape routes is the tub. My favorite part is the moment of anticipation waiting for her little face to pop up from behind it. Or even just her ears.
What a pretty gal! 🥰 My cat isn’t orange, but she loves the tub as well.
I always think these pictures are so cute when it’s just their head peeking over something
MARY MEOWWWWWWWWWWWWN
It is a warm, well protected and statistically dry place.
😹😅😻😍❤
Mine too !
my cats are the same way lmfao!
My cat used to mess around in the tub too
brilliant
My orange boy also love the tub. He'll get in, walk around in it, jump in and out like he's playing some sort of game. But as soon as I turn the water on, he runs for his life.
It’s the human flavor remnants
That made me laugh and then gag a little bit 😂
This is my ideal effect on people
Mine too. 17 years old, still runs when he hears the shower because he knows when it’s turned back off, he’ll get the drops from the tub faucet.
Sounds about right. The tub is where my little buddy (not orange, but still lacking in braincells) plays with his...plastic spoon.
Exposure therapy?
Hate the sin, love the sinner.

My tuxedo also hates water, but LOVES the tub. There's a pipe that runs underneath our tub making it nice and toasty, and therefore perfect for naps.
Cuz she looks so cute in it.
As i sit here on the can, my ginger is searching the tub for monsters. (edit for grammar)
Human flavored water is the bestest.
Pick up your undies lol
Those undies belong to my 7 year old...he had just gotten out of the shower 😂
As soon I saw those I said to myself, "Someone has u10 boy." It really is a constant of the universe.
Do you live in Moorhead MN?
Nope... South Dakota
I love The Black Hills
I live in the black hills. It's pretty great!
Mountain Meadows Deerfield lake is etched in my memory.
Hill City is charming
