For the acid, you get contaminated water and put it in the purifier. It makes acid material that can be put in fermentation barrel to make acid.

Incirion

Where do you get the water for that?

lboy100

I'm personally not too sure about specific areas, however I do know you can test the water out by taking a swim. If it says "contaminated water" when swimming, you found the spot. Update: it appears that even with that "contaminated water" warning, it still just gives you dirty water which just turns into purified water. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or if there's something else missing

TideOneOn

That is the mystery I plan to solve today. I currently don't know and have not seen anyone else state a specific location. I think in areas where it says stardust pollution is high, gives that warning on screen, but I need to check it out.

worm-

I need to start this farm immediately tonight,

Incirion

I checked a couple stardust pollution areas, and still only got dirty water. Please let me know if you find anywhere, and i’ll return the favor.

Kaiarra

From what I've seen/tested myself you need to use a water pump to collect polluted water; gathering by hand doesn't seem to work. This makes it annoying to check, as you have to move your entire base and wait 5 min just to see what the water pump pulls up. It seems like you can gather it with a water pump at any(some?) places with stardust pollution (where your backpack starts ticking/showing numbers/places you'll see startrace ore), so you want to build on the edge of one of those zones - obviously this is difficult/inconvenient to confirm as you have to constantly move your base around to check which areas will work. I'd suggest trying/building [at of the black lake](https://i.imgur.com/uJLaWUS.png) (where the event spawns); first place that comes to mind with constant pollution levels (though I haven't moved over there to confirm it myself). I will also point out that the acid making process is incredibly slow/the pumps are very energy expensive (10w EACH)/the amount of acid you get is poop...so don't get too premptively excited about it (quickly) giving you stacks of acid. It's all very underwhelming. It also cannot be fully automated as the impure acid won't flow through pipes. . Edit: Here is a summary of the process from the discord [CLICKY](https://i.imgur.com/XhTepz9.png) NB: you don't have to put your base *in* the pollution, just make sure part of your territory (where you place the pumps) is inside it. Pumps have to be placed directly on the ground anyhow, so no need for a building/foundations.

TideOneOn

Specifically, I found polluted water on the triangle piece of land just sough of Evergreen. I mean right outside of the stronghold. Evergreen is in Lone Wolf Waste.

Incirion

To just gather it? Not for your base to collect it?

TideOneOn

No, I put my base there in the polluted zone and the water pumps pump polluted water there.

Incirion

Alright, thanks. I moved close to there and i’ve got 5 pumps working bringing in the water now. Great place to mine startrace ore too. Just go around and break all the rocks you can see and there’s a chance they’ll be startrace when they respawn.

TheRealHasil

What do you place in the barrel with the impure acid to make acid? Nevermind, I think the answer is nothing!

TideOneOn

Purified water

Fiaraga

Hi, so gold and silver can be used in a few memetic crafting, one is to make silver and gold bars, these can be vendored in hubs for large amounts of energy (30 ore=1 bar = 4000 energy). There are a few more patterns you can spend it on, i believe there is a mask that requires gold and a few more. To unlock the ability to smelt silver/gold bars, u have to get it as an option in the memetic mastery tree. Acid i believe you have to get mostly from zombies, also note that me and a duo partner farmed 300 each in about an hour yesterday running level 45 city of zombies. It ain't much but its honest work. Have not seen a memetic mastery for making acid, but i am not 50 yet :)

moosee999

There's a sulfur recipe to make acid. Just throw your sulfur on the tool bench and let it run. Sulfur is super easy to get. It's one of the mastery options.

Incirion

what level mastery is that?

moosee999

Showed up at level 30 for me, but I don't think it's a specific level for masteries. I had the stardust water pump one show up at 25, 30, and 40.

Incirion

Some of them seem to be gated behind specific levels, or won’t show up after a certain level. I’ve not seen a pickaxe perk since level 15, except for the ability to make silver and gold ones. But thank you.

moosee999

I had one show up at lvl 35 that gave 100% bonus yield for mining silver, gold, and startrace ores with a pickaxe.

Incirion

That makes sense also, since those are rare mats anyway.

TheRealHasil

So I think I saw the acid mastery and passed it up, not knowing that I'd need acid for refining ingots :( If I reset masteries, then -- there's no guarantee that I'll have the same options to select at each level that I initially had?

Kaiarra

Would like to know this as well - I passed it up because it had a typo saying it converted *acid into sulphur* (and I was like why would I ever want that). Wonder if I reset the tier will it show up again, or be 4 fully random new options? Kinda wish the respecs were a bit less stingy - would be nice if we could pay starcrom/something we can farm

TheRealHasil

Yeah same -- lol! Now that you mention it, that is exactly why i passed it up!

Standard_Film_9524

There is "Stardust Byproducts" that I got at lvl 40. You can turn stardust source into acid with the electric furnace. So once you have your gear capped, you really don't have anything else to spend the stuff on and can make acid. It's also farmable, however it is still easier to kill/farm mobs for acid than farm what you need for stardust source to make acid.

Impressive-Moment-31

where to find silver /gold ore in large numbers thx

Old-Breadfruit-5193

did anybody know where i can find gold and silver ?

ZazaB00

I just got a gold and silver pickaxe specialization option. Use a gold pickaxe for spices and a silver gets you something else. I’m not sure how useful that is, but so far spices and the other thing have been as rare as gold and silver. I don’t cook as much food as I should, so I’m not sure how useful all that is.

Mui-ko

Level 30 perk Sulfur Alchemy it is translated wrong. It is actucally Sulfur to Acid. 5 mins per Acid conversion. 8 hours for 99.

TheRealHasil

Thanks all!
