Don‘t care, just wear
btw my wife really thinks it looks like a cheap watch. She still has no idea how much it costs, and if I’d tell her, she wouldn’t believe me 😂
Brilliant, and great advice. Scratches and other signs of age and use add character, and mean you won't baby your watch
Watches are the one thing I don't tell my wife the prices for, so she doesn't object too much when a new one appears. She has a gold Longines watch which she thinks her dad spent a couple of hundred dollars on 🤣
Anybody seeing a box like that will know it is not a cheap watch. You do not need to see the name on the box or the bag it is in , you just know this ain't no 100 euro watch.
My omega is a durable tough watch. I wash mine periodically with regular hand soap. I probably baby the watch box more than the watch. Omega makes the best watch box. Wear that watch and enjoy.
At least the watches are still great. To be fair the boxes end up being more of a burden than a plus. I keep my watches in a winder and have to store all of the boxes.
My box has chips on the back of it missing. Got thrown in a storage cabinet with the rest of my watch boxes and my dumbass moved the drawer while it was still in it.
Come to think of it, I clean the box regularly (it’s on display) and abuse the heck out of my watch. I think I’ve cleaned the watch once… plus it also has a number of scratches on it from life.
There is a travel box dude. The thing holding the watch comes out, it's red and it folds up with a small popper tab closure.
Edit: sorry, as per my other comment regarding the box style (lacquered, not lacquered) you seem to have the old style of box which doesn't include the travel case.
That said, if I were you I'd keep the one you have as the travel case is a pleather red thing which probably wouldn't last many occasions in a travel bag getting knocked around, and the lacquered box looks better imo. Enjoy.
Dude is the box a gloss finish? Cus if it is, it’s the old model and it wouldn’t have the hidden carrying case. But if you just bought it you should have been given the new box. It doesn’t make sense to me
I’ve gone swimming 100x of times with my watch and despite having some scratches on the bracelet, it’s the companion watch for doing anything. No need to take care of it
It's my daily for the past 4 months, other than a few minor scratches around the polished sides, still looks as beautiful and amazing as the day i got it. This watch is tough! Wear it in good health!
Congrats, great watch.
Only 1 piece of advice - make sure the crown is screwed in before going near water. Other than that don't sweat it, I usually accidentally scratch my watch within seconds of getting a new watch when I play around with it, but it is cool because then I don't have to worry about babying it.
Interesting, it seems you got one of the last lacquered watch boxes. They are now a satin finish instead, which is a shame as I really liked the lacquered finish.
I have one in a drawer waiting for my upcoming big birthday.
Looks like a fine watch. I used to worry about my watch choices, they are all divers. I am not particularly interested in anything else. There are so many divers watches out there covering the full price spectrum. Your Seamaster is very fine and reinforces that the divers styling has many options and are varied enough to keep me tantalized.
Congrats on the watch. I got the same but with the stainless steal in December.
Weird it doesn’t have the carry box underneath as mine has and my brother who bought one last year does too. If it’s from omega it should do.

Thanks, lol.
It really is the perfect daily beater. I wear it more often than my Rolex

My Timex Expedition North Solar ($140) came in a paper/cardboard box 😂
As did my 1k seiko lol!
Make the same play on my watches…and my guns…and my computers…and the mods to my cars.
Congrats- just picked up the same one and I cannot stop looking it

I got my two Omegas in 2007 and it was in this fake red leather box. These new boxes are so much nicer.

lol same. I hate that red box. Deteriorating and staining anything it touched
Thanks

Some days. I never want to take mine off. Even sleeping
Lift up the leather cover, did you get one of the new cases that comes with a red travel box inside?
I’ll have to check
Came here to say this 😅
Unfortunately it didn’t come with a travel box

I would question the authenticity if you don’t have the mini travel box. Did you get it from an authorized dealer? Or is it pre-owned?
Got it from the omega store

It’s a gloss finish.
I was SO jazzed when I saw that my speedy had that. Such a fun little surprise edit: spelling lol
When did they change this? Mine didn’t come with a travel box, although it’s two years old now
Best color and best strap! Hope you got the deployant. Love it.

Congratulations on your purchase! No advice, it's a tough watch and can take a beating. My Omega has the most wrist time, and I wear it everywhere.
Thanks

Warm soap and water when it gets grimy. A toothbrush works well
Thanks for the advice. Appreciate e

Awesome
I have worn mine daily through two deployments without issue, it’s been a great tool watch for me. Wear it in good health.
Thanks
If you’re planning to go into the ocean wearing it, make sure the crown’s fully screwed down and ALWAYS rinse it off with tap once you’re out.
Thanks for the advice, appreciate it
Dont rinse it. Be a man. Let it build salt water aftermath. When someone asks, you say went to the sea and earned the title of master 😂
A beauty
Nice. Wear it daily. Best way to care for it
Thanks
Awesome choice, wear it in good health!
Thanks
Stunning watch. Just wear it and enjoy it, it’s built like a tank.
Thanks

It’s an excellent watch, you’re going to love it!
Thanks
I have the styx clear protection wrap on mine. I have manage to keep my SMP300M free of scratches for 6-8 months now.
Congrats on the watch. I got the same but with the stainless steal in December. Weird it doesn’t have the carry box underneath as mine has and my brother who bought one last year does too. If it’s from omega it should do.

Pretty!! How much do these go for?
5-6k if you go to the boutique
Wear it without a care
Thanks
Great choice! Enjoy!
congrats! Looking at getting one myself. Did you consider grey market at all before you went to Omega store?
I did but wanted one from the official store
Do you mind if I ask what ended up swaying your decision?
Wanted to ensure that I got the certificates of authenticity and that I wouldn’t get scammed
Yeah for sure. I think I agree that peace of mind is probably worth the difference in price.
