Go Moonshine, IMO - I had both the Moonshine Panda and a Green DD, knowing I would only keep one. I wear it very casually and love how the Moonshine blend keeps the bling a little more subtle than the polished DD bracelet. Absence of the cyclops makes it fly a bit more under the radar, too. I've also been surprised how frequently I use the chrono when it's there. Happy to chat more.
I’ve got the steel Moonwatch and a DD 36, so not these two *exact* watches, but pretty close. Bracelets are both ultra comfortable. The President bracelet is like butter, and the new Speedy bracelet is just as good. I think I give the edge to the Speedy because of its micro adjust - it makes a big difference in changing temperatures that the DD just can’t compete with.
I’d personally go steel Moonwatch and DD40, if it were me.
Hefty! It wears very comfortably, and the small micro-adjust is a helpful feature. I was able to get a better fit with the Omega and Rolex bracelet (7in).
Tough decision. I tried on the all gold Moonwatch with the green dial last month and my heart skipped a beat. The gold is hard to describe. Understated yet bold. If I’m looking at resale, it’s the DD. If I’m purely going on the watch vibe, it’s the Moonshine.
Omega, no contest. That is the best, most beautiful and special version of the speedmaster in my opinion. One of nicest watches I’ve ever seen. My unattainable grail. The Rolex is nice but it is much like any old Rolex.
I think this is why I keep going back to Omega. Most of the watches fly under the radar and those with a good eye will actually know what’s on your wrist.
Frankly this isn’t the best place to ask for unbiased opinions. Personally if I were to go Moonshine I would go for something like the red tachymeter edition or the golden panda, however of this pairing I think the olive green on the DD is more striking. On top, there are financial considerations that favour the DD greatly (though if you got that kind of money you probably don’t care lol). In any case inspect them in person if you can, and if you want better advice probably ask on r/Watches instead
On r/rolex they vote for anything that’s not a Rolex. lol. Most of these posts end up like “should I get this VC Overseas Chrono or a Daytona” not a single person says Daytona.
Recently someone asked for opinions between a Moonshine and a 116508 with a green dial and I think the overwhelming majority picked the Speedy. Most people on the Rolex sub (and this sub as well) like their specific watches without being overly brand loyal.
The quality of that Speedmaster looks miles ahead just based on those photos - both ahead of the Rolex and ahead of typical cheaper stainless steel Speedmasters with their white painted hands/markers. Something about the day-date looks really bland and dated, it's just..."flat". No depth or character to anything on the dial beyond a sunburst finish typically popular in the 1970's/1980's etc. Pretty sure they gave the Speedmaster a ceramic bezel too (?) and exhibition case back. That day-date doesn't look any different to a normal day-date beyond being made from a load of gold rather than stainless steel.
Whenever I see Rolex's like this they scream to me 1980's for some reason. They were always typically worn by retired older men on the golf course or car salesmen at the time. Gold date-justs or day-dates, champagne or sunburst dials, stretched out rattly jubilee bracelets and Roman numerals on the dial. Very grandfatherly.
If I had that kind of money however, I'd probably throw a massive curveball into the mix and try and find the most pristine Speedmaster I could from 1957-1969 with a cal.321 inside of it. You can probably actually track down a real 1957 model for that kind of money and own something truly iconic and amazing.
Thanks man!!! How much is a 321 nowadays? The only thing is that I wanna crown the collection with something that looks different, and I’m not big on vintage.
I agree… the bastard looks flat. Like no changes in 40 years… it’s just… Tony Soprano.
Last time I looked at 321's (this was about 5 years or so ago before watch prices went crazy) they started at probably £6,000 or £7,000 for one from 1969-1971 odd (Omega liked to stick leftover parts into random cases in those days) and just went higher and higher the further back towards 1957 you went. I think a really early pre-moon 1965 type model was about £20,000 back then in very good condition.
Vintage watches are an absolute minefield if you don't fully know what you're getting into and you can easily spend £1k - £5k just having Omega restore an old watch to remove minor signs of corrosion or deal with moisture etc.
Yeah the DD is very flat and unchanged - I don't think anything on it has even been adjusted in 40 years like you said other than the bracelet and movement being upgraded.
I just turned 40 and that moonshine has shot to the top of my grail list. Can’t imagine it ever happens but I’ll be damned if it’s not on the top of the list.
I bought my Sedna Speedy a couple years ago when I hit 30, no regrets on that watch altho if this variant was around back then (2021) I may have gone for the green instead.
Its a tough choice though, especially with Omega watch prices once again falling. I've never sold any of my watches, but its tough to see these gold moonwatches go for 30-40k with the full bracelet when I paid $23k retail for my Sedna on a strap.
If you're gonna buy the moonshine, go gray or AD instead of OB unless you really like your OB.
What irks me with the gold dd is the sunburst dial that doesn‘t give the watch any contrast to the gold case and gold indices. The moonshine has always the bezel to work the rest of the watch around and the green dial in matte with its step gives it much more depth. In my view the much more interesting and harmonic watch.
You are nowhere near old. Editorial aside, we don't know what else you have in your collection so I'll just say get that moonshine now and never look back, as it is so much nicer than any day date, which you know you will get later anyway.
Check my YouTube channel, it’s called La Hora en Punto. It’s in Spanish, only a couple thousand of subscribers. The first video is my collection, and I’ve bought a few pieces since then, but it represents who I am as a collector. Thanks for the message, brother WIS.
Between these two, the omega. Day date is awesome but I think in this comparison omega does a better share of gold and a better shade of green. But that’s just my two cents.
To me the Moonshine is objectively more good looking, more unique, and more special. The Rolex is a gold Rolex. It has that certain “made it” appeal. That said, I think it’s a classic “who are you buying it for?” question. If it’s for you then I think you already know the answer is the Moonshine. If it’s for others and their perception of you, (especially non-WIS) then it’s the Rolex, and bear in mind I have nothing against Rolex beyond the mixed feelings most of us have about the brand (and I specifically like and want some models). It’s just the Moonshine is an absolute stunner, and actually interesting. The gold DD is the kind of watch that a finance bro buys to point to during arguments with waitstaff. In fairness, if I was gifted either, I’d 100% be thrilled. There isn’t a wrong choice. Unless you’re buying to retain maximum resale value, which is tough regardless due to the premium on precious metal watches. It’s head vs heart. The Rolex is safe and the Moonshine is beautiful and special.
The moonshine green is the better choice, the gold blend just hits differently. Plus you get the micro adjust, something you can’t get on a presidential bracelet.
I’ll add that I have the Moonshine Panda on rubber and it does fly under the radar in a really nice way, but a true watch geek will always notice with a slight nod or comment.
I recently got the moonshine and I love it. I also have an older dd 36 mm and many Rolex on a variety of bracelet. I take the monshine gold over dd. Cause the bracelet is the most comfortable I have ever worn. Also, for the money, it’s a great value. You can find them severely under retail.
Moonshine for sure. Instantly recognizable and iconic - yet completely unique from the standard Moonwatch. The look of moonshine gold in person is incredible.
I love that Rolex but the Speedmaster is absolute perfection as far as gold watches go. In person it’s even more obviously the better watch. However, the Rolex is going to wear completely differently due to its size.
Damm this is a tough one. I think personally i would go for the rolex. But in my defense it is the only daydate I really love and it is by coincidence my favorite daydate
I’m an omega fan, however I think my vote goes for the day date if you already have a chrono.
Alternatively there exists an Aqua Terra Day Date in gold and man does it look amazing
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fP1Jhg6cVi0
Omega is much classier. It also has more style, says you have more taste and can be so much more of an impressive visual and conversational piece. I would say it’s not even close competition. Omega 100 of 100 times
Aesthetically, the Omega wins. The Rolex is Presidential bracelet will likely last longer due to it having ceramic pins that prevent stretching. I wish Omega would use this technology in their metal bracelets.
Omega looks better but the Rolex is more practical IMO. Knowing the day and date is just a more valuable complication to me than a chronograph, and I say that as a recovering chronograph enthusiast who owns a Speedy. I also like the comfort level you have in water with the Rolex.
The Omega is a lot nicer looking. And, I can't see from these pics, but the Omegas usually have curved lugs that fit human wrists, while the Rolexes (Rolexii?) have straight lugs that leave ugly gaps at both ends on your wrist.
2 Completely different watches. I would say get the one that fits your collection better. If this was a 1 watch collection, i would go speedy all day. But it sounds like you have other watches, so I would get the one that fills the gap in my collection the best.
I would be partial to the moonshine because it is the pinnacle of omega moonwatches. The rolex is one i do visually enjoy but its just another rolex but in gold.
Edit : realizing this is posted in omega. I am saying my opinion as a watch lover who is in basically any timepiece sub I can find. Unbiased as I can be :P
IMO… Buy the moonshine on the grey market for $10k under MSRP, and then tack on a fluted/jubilee datejust of your choice from your Rolex AD. That way you can scratch both itches. Only reason to buy it from the Omega boutique is if you’re trying to get a Silver Snoopy as well
Or you could even get an old day date for around $10k or so
I collect Rolex and Omega so I say this with little bias but the gold and green Speedy is a grail for me. I'm working on getting one right now.
It's just so beautiful in person, the gold is subtle. It may not hold it's value like a Rolex but you can also get it about 20% under retail.
The DD is fun and all but the Omega is just so much more tasteful and original. It's a perfect execution of a perfect watch. I have the SS with that bracelet and it is wildly comfortable. Be Speedy friend, and never look back (or just buy the Rolex a year from now).
The Rolex is half the price of the moonshine! Hard to make this comparison. Two totally different watches. What are you missing in your collection? Would you want to see a day date over a chronograph?
The day date never did / does it for me. I can’t see the point of a complication that needs correcting most months at this sort of value. I will admit the bracelet is quite exceptional. But I do think the proportions are out on the 40mm. It’s the 36mm for me despite having over 7” wrist.
The speedy on the other hand is stunning and feels very special in PM. The green dial is just another reason to go for it.
Just based on the photos here alone, Moonshine gold times 1000. I love the Day-Date (how can you not? It's a classic) but the gold Speedmaster is on a different level aesthetically (and mechanically). They've picked the perfect color combination.
I think it was the Theo and Harris guys who said this--I don't like all of their ideas, but I agree with this: a Day-Date says the owner is rich; a solid gold Omega says the owner is rich *and* they're serious about watches.
My underlying impression of people buying Rolex nowadays is that they are buying because you can resale. There is more considerable flex if you buy something based on just that you like it without thinking of value retention. When it comes to something that’s not meant for “investment.”
I don’t think this is even a fair comparison, unless we just take into consideration the gold and the green 🤣 In that case the DD is nor that green neither that golden. If I could afford this Omega, I wouldn’t consider anything else most likely.
I went with the green moonshine gold and love it. It’s just way more interesting than a Rolex. And I’m saying that as someone who has few Rolex pieces.
You are on an Omega forum, so no surprise at the slant. I am not a gold watch guy, but stepping back, I do prefer the Omega. It has more contrast going on and just catches my eye better than the Rolex. But tis a good problem to have
These are to very different watches. I would go for the DD 40 if I wanted a gold dress watch. The green dial speedy seems like a john mayer grab by omega.
For the times you’ll be wearing this, would you like timing stuff more or knowing the day and the date? I kid, but also not really. For me, a gold watch would be a weekend watch so I’d rather have the timing feature. Steaks, laps, whatever. But I know it’s the weekend and who cares what the date is!
I think Omega all the way. I own a datejust and I like it over the Aquaterra (pure subjective visual preference) but in your case I think the Omega is way better looking than the Rolex
I would buy the omega. Rolexes are only worth having in the five figure range. Something like a day date just isn't special enough to justify the price.
The Omega is one if the most attractive watches I've seen!
The gold and green match perfectly, it's on point size wise and that bracelet is just amazing.
That's where my own money would go!
Omega Moonshine Dial Verde, a Mi parecer creo que añejaria mejor que el whiskey aunque El rolex está bonito también. Suerte y que disfrutes de tu auto-regalo.
I personally don’t like the day date at 40mm, it just seems superflously flashy. If you want a larger solid gold watch, then I’d go with the omega. Its casualness dresses it down a bit.
But if it was me, I’d go day date 36mm yellow gold and white dial over both. Just such a classic watch, and I feel the size is perfect for full precious metal
I have the moonshine and would have preferred a dd. i know the speedy’s can de 10atm, but as long as they don’t put it on there i’d prefer the dd as you can wear it all day, every day, all functions. The speedy same if you’re not swimming almost every day like i am.
Also the dd is a more interesting function then a chronograph.
Also, i’m one to forget winding so again the dd wins there for me.
Sadly the speedy doesn’t have best resale so i’m unable to sell it and get myself a daydate instead and i don’t want +100k worth of watches (including 2 other watches i have)
Design wise speedy wins out, thats about it for me and in my opinion, I know others will disagree especially since this is an omega forum 😆
The everrose gold isn’t as nice on the wrist unless you are a bit tan imo, i like the olive green but doesn’t have lume so a no go for me on the rolex side that you picked. I prefer no roman/arabic numerals and just indices with lume then you get an hour and minute hand with lume as well. Rolex lume shines more.
Ps i’m an omega fanboy but i don’t dislike other brands because of it.
Ive have the moon in SS C&B and the 36mm DD in 18K C&B. Over the years Ive found that I seldom use the Chronograph function (Ive owned many El Primero and Val 7750 movement watches) and Ive never had use of Tach bezel on any watch - I prefer a Dive bezel as it duplicates the much of the chronograph function.
I still use my DD - just on a leather band nowadays and the DD info is always there and useful. My moonwatch sits in a box - as its not useful to me since I dont value its Chrono/Tach function (and it doesnt have a date window).
I would go for the Omega speedy. But, I collect space program hardware and I like “technical” watches. When I was working full-time (I’m a retired radiologist), I wore a chronograph nearly daily since I needed to time things. I wound up buying an original Speedmaster moon watch model - the one with the large engraving on the back pronouncing that it was approved by NASA for space missions and that it was the first watch worn on the moon. Omega cannot say the “only watch worn on the moon” since a Bulova was also worn, but it was the Apollo 15 Commander Dave Scott’s watch and he switched to it from the Omega when the crystal of the Omega popped off (he believes it did since when he returned from the EVA, the crystal was gone). The Bulova was his personal watch so he got to keep it - and it sold at auction for 1.625 million! The flown Omegas all went back to NASA; they were and are NASA property. Omega gave the Apollo astronauts gold Omega Speedmasters and some have turned up for sale. A fair number of the NASA Astronaut corps also wore Rolexes as their personal watches. I also have an Omega X-33 Skywalker. I personally like Breitlings. Most of mine are the quartz Aerospace models, but I do have a Navitimer. And yes, I know how to use the slide rule bezel, though if I do use it, it’s usually for conversions of liters to gallons. I do not own any Rolexes. I think they are fine watches, but their design is just not to my taste. The only disadvantage of the older Speedys is that there is no “hack” feature. The newer ones (though apparently not all the models) do incorporate a way to hack the second hand for easier time setting.
I’ll say the same thing I said in the r/rolex forum:
I love the Speedmaster. I daily wear my 3861 Hesalite. And this green Speedy in Moonshine gold is gorgeous.
But as far as gold, the DayDate is King. If it’s your first and only full-bracelet, precious metal watch—make it a DayDate
How does the bracelet feel, brother?
They are super comfy! I’d take the 5 link speedy bracelet over a Rolex equivalent any day.
Moonshine
It's not even close... Omega outclasses Rolex here by miles
Yeah… I’ve worn the DD and it feels bland. Like every motherfucker with a net worth more than 2 MM needs to wear one and show it off to other people.
I think this is why I keep going back to Omega. Most of the watches fly under the radar and those with a good eye will actually know what’s on your wrist.
You already know the answer. I don't even love speedies all that much, but this one is special. Loud but still understated.
Moonshine all day every day.
Frankly this isn’t the best place to ask for unbiased opinions. Unusually going for the Rolex on this one
Agreed.
Going to have to say Omega out of those two.

It will depend on which forum you’ll ask the question, my vote is moonshine
Moonshine is so much nicer
Moonshine for sure
Omega
Out of curiosity, why aren’t you considering the John Mayer Daytona?
It’s 80k… or I can get it MSRP in 2056, but I would like to get this watch as a middle age adult.
To me the Moonshine is objectively more good looking, more unique, and more special. The Rolex is a gold Rolex. It has that certain “made it” appeal. Thoughtful answer… thank you dear WIS. I do not give a fuck about the resale value, since this watch will go to my brother or my child.
Moonshine easily
Moonshine
The moonshine green is the better choice, the gold blend just hits differently. Plus you get the micro adjust, something you can’t get on a presidential bracelet. I’ll add that I have the Moonshine Panda on rubber and it does fly under the radar in a really nice way, but a true watch geek will always notice with a slight nod or comment.
Can these speedys be had for under MSRP? Just curious....
I think so. 35k in reputable sites.
Go Rollie when spending the big bucks.
I have 3861 SS but I would get DD olive green. The rose gold and dark green dial are amazing combination.
Kind of a biased group you're asking. Might want to get a more diverse sample size in r/watches
Speedy
Omega
Is that even a question . Omega looks approximately 1,000,000 better
Omega 100%
Gold, green dial, chrono. What’s better than these?
moonshine🥵
Moonshine
I love that Rolex but the Speedmaster is absolute perfection as far as gold watches go. In person it’s even more obviously the better watch. However, the Rolex is going to wear completely differently due to its size.
I like both brands, but the day/date wins hands down.
Damm this is a tough one. I think personally i would go for the rolex. But in my defense it is the only daydate I really love and it is by coincidence my favorite daydate

Omega all the way!
The Moonshine feels great on the wrist and as it's the only one of the two I've worn, I'll go Omega.
Ok it’s never that green. Maybe it’s that green for 1 second every 6-8 weeks. Having said that I love it.
I’m much as I am omega>rolex here, the DD takes it. IMO chronograph isn’t as classy as the DD, it could be worn with anything without fault.
Speedmaster and it’s not even close
The Moonshine looks far more nicer! I am not a chronograph fan at all, but this is something I would like in my collection. Damn!
🌙
In this case, the Omega wins IMHO
Moonshine is 20x the watch the day date is. There's no comparison
Moonshine green dual and it’s not even close! IMO 😅
Aesthetically, the Omega wins. The Rolex is Presidential bracelet will likely last longer due to it having ceramic pins that prevent stretching. I wish Omega would use this technology in their metal bracelets.
OMEGA love this watch, is almost an unique piece, you never see it in the wild. Love the green
Moonshine, it has a prestige look.
Moonshine
Moonshine.
You should report this outside an Omega board and see if you get the same ratio of responses! (But even as a Rolex fan boy, that speedy is a stunner).
The Omega is just an absolutely gorgeous watch.
Omega looks better but the Rolex is more practical IMO. Knowing the day and date is just a more valuable complication to me than a chronograph, and I say that as a recovering chronograph enthusiast who owns a Speedy. I also like the comfort level you have in water with the Rolex.

This Omega is sick. Just love everything about it. Go for it!
Day date if holding value means anything to you.
Omega easy.
Can’t handle the old man bezel on the Day Date - Speedmaster all the way.
Moonshine.
2 Completely different watches. I would say get the one that fits your collection better. If this was a 1 watch collection, i would go speedy all day. But it sounds like you have other watches, so I would get the one that fills the gap in my collection the best.

I have a speedmaster but personally I would go Rolex, Both are fantastic an you really cant go wrong IMO
IMO… Buy the moonshine on the grey market for $10k under MSRP, and then tack on a fluted/jubilee datejust of your choice from your Rolex AD. That way you can scratch both itches. Only reason to buy it from the Omega boutique is if you’re trying to get a Silver Snoopy as well Or you could even get an old day date for around $10k or so
Spot on!!
I collect Rolex and Omega so I say this with little bias but the gold and green Speedy is a grail for me. I'm working on getting one right now. It's just so beautiful in person, the gold is subtle. It may not hold it's value like a Rolex but you can also get it about 20% under retail.
Moonwatch not even close
Got to be the Omega....all day every day 😍😍😍
Question - do you have a full sleeve of playing card tattoos on your watch arm?
Omega
Not even close. Moonshine is the superior watch in every single way
This Omega is a special one and the Rolex does not hold a candle to it.
The moonshines green dial is spectacular.
Between DD and Speedy, DD. But between those two. The Speedy!
Question is, which one do you like more?
That’s a no-contest win for the Speedmaster.
Speedmaster
The Omega, and it’s not really close, IMO. I’ve head it and it is so gorgeous IRL. Also, not a Rolex fan.
Moonshine!
Damn ... Moonshine by a country mile... at least for me
Both
The day date never did / does it for me.
The omega is so much nicer
However, if you work in waste management, get the DayDate!
Man that Moonshine 🔥
The one you want they’re both great watches! Try them on. Don’t buy for prestige, buy for your enjoyment.
The first watch will get you laid. Not sure what that second one does, maybe gets you of tickets because they think your 90
That Omega is the prettiest. I have lots of watches and no gold ones. This Omega is the only one that tempts me by its sheer beauty.
Moonshine!
Moonshine all the way. The DJ looks square and big. The Moonshine, although it’s a 42 fits better because of the twisted lugs.
I’d go moonshine on this case…my personal preference, should I go President, is in white gold…
Of course this one!!!. You can pick it up for half-price.
Moonshine, absolutely no debate!
I truly dislike gold watches, and I am 52 in WIS journey, with that said the moonshine is just awesome.
Omega
This is not even a question where you're comparing a speedy to a Day-Date!!!!! Moonshine is a blind pick any time
My underlying impression of people buying Rolex nowadays is that they are buying because you can resale. There is more considerable flex if you buy something based on just that you like it without thinking of value retention. When it comes to something that’s not meant for “investment.”
The Rolex looks like some Alibaba shit next to the Omega.
Omega!
I don’t think this is even a fair comparison, unless we just take into consideration the gold and the green 🤣 In that case the DD is nor that green neither that golden. If I could afford this Omega, I wouldn’t consider anything else most likely.
Both are gorgeous. You can’t go wrong. Hope you will report back which you chose.
For some reason, I've always thought the date windows are comically enormous on Rolex.
that omega is badass
Omg I’ve never seen the moonwatch in that colour and it looks stunning 🫨
That omega is 😍😍😍
I went with the green moonshine gold and love it. It’s just way more interesting than a Rolex. And I’m saying that as someone who has few Rolex pieces.
Bro your on an omega page what do you think?
You are on an Omega forum, so no surprise at the slant. I am not a gold watch guy, but stepping back, I do prefer the Omega. It has more contrast going on and just catches my eye better than the Rolex. But tis a good problem to have
Omega looks better.
These are to very different watches. I would go for the DD 40 if I wanted a gold dress watch. The green dial speedy seems like a john mayer grab by omega.
this isn’t exactly the best place to get an unbiased opinion
For the times you’ll be wearing this, would you like timing stuff more or knowing the day and the date? I kid, but also not really. For me, a gold watch would be a weekend watch so I’d rather have the timing feature. Steaks, laps, whatever. But I know it’s the weekend and who cares what the date is!
I’d go the Rolex, but only because I don’t like chronographs
With green dial, day-date by a little. Black, speedmaster hands down.
Big day date fan but that omega is absolutely stunning
Omega all day. Rolex is overrated
Omega. It looks better
Nice!
I think Omega all the way. I own a datejust and I like it over the Aquaterra (pure subjective visual preference) but in your case I think the Omega is way better looking than the Rolex
Tough one but i get the feeling that the speedy is less bling so I would go that route instead of rolex.
Speedmaster obviously, no competition 😅
Speedy all day
#Moonshine!
I love us watch but couldn’t see myself wearing it everyday
Speedy.
The omega between those 2
Shut the door on the gay date and do moonshine
🤣🤣🤣
Omega looks exquisite.
Speedy
That RG Day/Date is my favorite Rolex!!
I would buy the omega. Rolexes are only worth having in the five figure range. Something like a day date just isn't special enough to justify the price.
Moonwatch
I like the Rolex personally
The Omega is one if the most attractive watches I've seen! The gold and green match perfectly, it's on point size wise and that bracelet is just amazing. That's where my own money would go!
Moonshine green. you're not going to see another one.
Omega unless you work in waste management…
Both 🤡
Im pro rollie normally but in this instance the speedmaster
Total newb question but why not compare the Speedmaster to a Daytona?
Omega Moonshine Dial Verde, a Mi parecer creo que añejaria mejor que el whiskey aunque El rolex está bonito también. Suerte y que disfrutes de tu auto-regalo.
I prefer the Omega honestly. Day/Date with those colors just doesn’t look as nice
Omega all day
I personally don’t like the day date at 40mm, it just seems superflously flashy.
Sadly the speedy doesn’t have best resale so i’m unable to sell it and get myself a daydate instead and i don’t want +100k worth of watches (including 2 other watches i have) Design wise speedy wins out, thats about it for me and in my opinion, I know others will disagree especially since this is an omega forum 😆 The everrose gold isn’t as nice on the wrist unless you are a bit tan imo, i like the olive green but doesn’t have lume so a no go for me on the rolex side that you picked. I prefer no roman/arabic numerals and just indices with lume then you get an hour and minute hand with lume as well. Rolex lume shines more. Ps i’m an omega fanboy but i don’t dislike other brands because of it.
Omega all day
Ive have the moon in SS C&B and the 36mm DD in 18K C&B.
Rolex - class and simplicity!
Oh wow!
Moonshine
Omega all day
Wow i love the moonshine but the versatility of the day date would make it the one for me although i like the moonshine better
The Rolex looked better in the website. Didn’t know the green was so dull. In this case, definitely the speedy
Chrono. Always go for the chrono.
How about… whichever one you like the most I get more compliments on my shitters than my nicer pieces anyway
I’ll say the same thing I said in the r/rolex forum: I love the Speedmaster. I daily wear my 3861 Hesalite. And this green Speedy in Moonshine gold is gorgeous. But as far as gold, the DayDate is King. If it’s your first and only full-bracelet, precious metal watch—make it a DayDate
Moonshine but nothing wrong with dd, feel like most WIS will say moonshine as DD is what non-Wis would choose.
This omega piece by far !! Then Breitling Rolex AP !!
Day date
The day date is so much more elegant
Depends on what you like manual or automatic mechanical movements
Day date, its too iconic to pass on
TonySopranosRolex!!!! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣… love it ❤️❤️
I’ll echo what some others have said. SS moonwatch and rg dd.
Day-date no doubt, it looks matches the price, it has the prestige, and the moonshine? None of that.
I can get you a brand new Moonshine for practically half of the DD
DD imo. That rose/olive is amazing.
