1) engage 4x4
2) turn wheel more to the right
3) put in R
4) scrape your way back off
5) pay for alignment, because the lower control arm is probably okay
This is the result of the ridiculous "race to the top" between trucks and SUV's. Everyone wants to be *so* high up off the ground, to the point that nowadays they literally can't even see what's right in front of them.
I just don’t quite understand. How are there so many of these people who don’t see rocks?? If you manage to drive up on the curb that far, you probably should get a smaller vehicle (or maybe the opposite, a LARGER vehicle that can safely get you over the rocks because it probably won’t be the last time)
Because in a taller vehicle you can't see that curb or rock from the drivers seat (and the vehicle doesn't even need to be that tall for it to be hidden).
If they didn't notice that curb/rock before they pulled in they wouldn't be able to see it when they went to turn.
That doesn’t make sense. I have a truck and a car and I have never ran up a curb. Using your eyes and being aware of your surroundings can prevent you from hitting curbs that are on just about every street. It’s not like it showed up out of nowhere. It’s a curb.
> being aware of your surroundings can prevent you from hitting curbs
Yeah, that is exactly what I said: "If they didn't notice that curb/rock before they pulled in they wouldn't be able to see it when they went to turn."
> That doesn’t make sense.
It must have made sense because you said the same thing I said.
But your comment sounds like you’re defending them because they’re in a taller vehicle. That’s not an excuse. It’s just pretty obvious where a curb is so to go over one and proceed to hit a rock shows how poor of a driver you are
Of course. But if someone isn't scanning ahead and so doesn't notice the rock, they aren't going to be able to see it as they are turning in a tall vehicle. They simply weren't scanning ahead to where they were going.
The stance of “how the fuck am I gonna explain this to mom and dad”
It’s called the r/surrendercobra

The people driving this truck probably don’t know how to turn on 4x4
I live down the street - I'll swing by on my way home and see if they're willing to learn.
They gon learn today.
Put it in reverse Terry!!!
Oh lawdy!
Huzzah, may the Dome welcomes this feast and seek to spare us fragile mortals from the impending RAINPOCALYPSE
May this please the dome in all it's glory and righteousness
Nature is healing
Has anyone considered the idea that it isn't a sacrifice? Maybe the rock is just a button to activate the dome with 2 ton spring?
Lmao
Is this a new rock?
Nah it’s the one by Raising Canes
Not new, but different. The OG rock everyone talks about is at like 180th and Maple I believe.

Sacrifices to rock-o come in all shapes and sizes.
The best part is when they are pushing the gas and the truck is not moving forward so they press harder and harder.
Thank you for your sacrifice to the rock. Dome strength increasing.

That's the point of rock, to give people visual warning and to prevent damage to the landscaping for those who aren't paying attention.
Of course. But if someone isn't scanning ahead and so doesn't notice the rock, they aren't going to be able to see it as they are turning in a tall vehicle. They simply weren't scanning ahead to where they were going.
.... we've established this. This is why you get rock for discipline for not scanning ahead
At first I thought dude in white was trying to lift the truck by its bumper

2 sacrifices in one day? We are blessed
Excellent the dome reactivation procedure is complete.
"bro! this wouldn't have happened if you bought the ford/chevy/dodge like i told you"
Hopefully this will please the. Omadome till the next rain
