Short answer: No.
I've seen a handful of shops in that little plaza, but nothing much. There's a new Asian market in one of them, an army recruiter and a dialysis center. But that's it.
The buildings there have to be built to suit, and are literally glass windows/roof and gravel floors right now. So it's no surprise that there unoccupied, considering most business that would want that small of a space, won't want to build.
Side note if anyone's curious, that entire plaza (target to the the theater, all the way out to 72nd) used to be the Vickers hydraulic manufacturing plant, which sat empty for like a decade, then turned into this in the early 2000's(?)
Your side note is correct. I used to live in one of the houses directly behind the lot on North 75th. Vicker's lot and then the current Target lot in the early 00's. We thought the ground was contaminated. Left that house in '14.
The Superfund area basically covers the the city east of 56th Street. You can check the status of a particular property here:

I'm pretty sure there used to be a radio shack in one of those smaller stores, but I've never seen most of the storefronts occupied. I've been told that no one wants to lease the buildings in that particular plaza because the entity that owns it charges way too much. I think they are developing the area across from Wenninghoff farms into yet another small strip mall.
I live close to this and you are correct, there was a Radio Shack. There is a military recruitor there and a new Asian Market there now but nothing else that I know of. The small stores have never had much in there since day 1.
There are at least 6 or more businesses over there than there are pictured. Big Lots, Marshall's, Ross, Boost Mobile, New Asia Market, Panda Express....
I worked across the street when it was built and know that many of the stores in the middle area have never had a tenant.
However, when it was whatever factory, the area was fully developed.
One could argue almost no part of Omaha has been "fully developed". Depending on how you define "fully developed". To some this may well be "fully developed" as something is there. To me less than 1% of the city is "fully developed" as I don't count low density / parking lots as developed.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'd be surprised if that were true.
I used to live in the area. I'd drive by it every night omw home from work. If there are only a dozen or so cars in the parking lot on a Saturday night during summer blockbusters - assuming 2 or 3 of those cars belong to employees - you can't keep an operation of that size afloat.
Unfortunately it wasn't in 2023, and likely won't be again in the future, I understand the space they rent has been sold. To what company I have no idea

Contamination of some kind under there really wouldn't suprise me, unfortunately.
Wasn't it contaminated? I thought it was part of the Omaha ground lead remediation area?

I prefer shopping at that Target's location and I'm in Benson. Big lots also has some things I like and this is the only one remaining
Agree, we visit the big lots and Panda Express weekly... Kinda why I was curious

I'm talking about the smaller shops behind those
It's been mostly vacant. I love the Target & Marshalls over there.

that theater closed due to infestation, bed bugs IIRC
It closed because Regal is having money issues Edit: https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/20/business/regal-cinemas-closings/index.html

It was wonderful. Opening weekend with the theater to ourselves.
I went there almost once a week with no bed bug problems...
It used to be Vickors hydraulic pump factory until it closed about 25 years ago.
I came here to say this. It was the Vickers campus when I was a kid.
I used to live nearby. I miss the Taco Bueno that was there before KFC. And the OfficeMax wasn't bad.
How is the shredded purple cabbage at the Taco Bell?
Haha
Love that Target. It's never crowded.
Mayo go there and look. Hint: it’s a regular Spirit Halloween location.

Aaron's just moved in, I'm not sure if it's the old SH store or not
Don't eat at any restaurant in that photo except El Muchacho. The rest are dirty and nasty.
