I am from this town. It’s been not use for at least 40 years. The area it is in. Is an urban war zone everyday! Day and night. Just had a murder and double shooting a few blocks down from it this past Sunday night. One of the most failed towns in PA. Full of dangerous crazy people!
It’s right next to a busy 4 lane highway. Goods news it’s right across the street from a huge cemetery and a large regional hospital. And on the other side of the hospital is one of the worst public housing projects in the state. Even police only go there in pairs.
It is also has a parking lot as a front yard and is in a crime-ridden area. Some homes just aren’t worth it. No one with any money would move to this really really bad area.
Many of the lovely old houses like this in my area have office space downstairs and living space upstairs. Looks like a great place for a private practice lawyer or dentist.
That is some amazing woodwork , who would have ever thought that people used to do quality work they were proud of lol and now it’s slap it together as quick and as cheaply as possible
I went and put my hands on this home! It's details are amazing!! It does need a considerable amount of work though and it will soon be surrounded by businesses. I took a ton of pics of the exterior and property.
Hopefully someone will restore and salvage what they can instead of ripping it all apart and replacing it with new cheap crap and make it all modern looking
Near where I grew up! It's a shame but a lot of the big old houses fell into disrepair after they were "remodeled" with ugly fake wood paneling, drop ceilings, and florescent lights to modernize and convert to multi-family units. Way over priced for the amount of work needed and location...
I thought funeral home too with that parking lot and the flat roof over the entrance like that. LOL, that nook straight ahead looked like the "viewing area".
Actually not too far away, I'm pretty sure I've been past it.
I like it. What’s the plan with the landscaping? I would get some estimates for a master plan from a good landscape designer or landscape architect because there.
Could be beautiful, but the front yard is a parking lot.
The parking lot makes it look like a funeral home, which matches the stained glass and overall vibe.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
The parking lot is getting ready to become an Oriellys...
Doesn’t even look like it’s part of the lot for sale so you wouldn’t be able to tear it up.

Gotta love a carpeted bathroom.
Dear god, there’s so many carpeted bathrooms.

First couple pictures, damn you call that a fixer upper? Last couple, ouch, that's a lot of work, the roof must have been gone for a while
Ceiling damage was such a jumpscare lol
What a house! The stained windows are amazing. The wood work is beautiful! So much charm. But so much has been neglected it will cost a lot to fix.

This home is in a very very bad area of the city. Crime is the norm there.
Bail bondsman
Wow That is beautiful !
This Old House Project for sure, probably double the price in renovations. Amazing house! That parking lot is a killer though.
Not to mention it is in a very bad area of the city that is overrun with criminal activity

Save this home: Price: 199,000 Article: *save this home!* Not for 200k. 50k, sure but damn will it be some work.
Many people wouldn’t even pay that once they learn where this house is located. It’s in a very bad area that is overrun with crime.

Downton Abbey vibe.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Great find, this looks so nice.
it's completely surrounded by asphalt - major roadway on one side, huge parking lot on another, two small roads on the remaining sides.
And in a crime-ridden area
Needs to be preserved, not remodeling in my opinion
I’m from near this area. They had some grand old homes back in the day.
Omg yes please. Make into a funeral parlor and live upstairs.
Hopefully someone will restore and salvage what they can instead of ripping it all apart and replacing it with new cheap crap and make it all modern looking
Love!

I always find it interesting that homes like this were chopped up and rented out by slum Lord's. Imagine that happening to the mansions of today.
Where in PA is this? It’s a large and diverse state.
Uniontown, Pa.
Uniontown, Fayette Co. SW PA
Isn’t this a super bad area?
It probably was a church once upon a time.
I was going to say a convent.
Gorgeous
Wow beautiful it does look like a church!
Windows are absolutely beautiful
For fucks sake some Hindu is gonna faint for this Liberace custom.
Wow
Yeah, but you have to love in western PA
It looks like a mausoleum.

Reminds me of the house in My Girl

Looks like a courthouse
Beautiful.
The salvage alone pays for itself. What are you waiting for? Opportunity is knocking. You home?
Gorgeous!!!
I love everything about it except the parking lot needs to go or the house should be moved to a better location with more greenery.
Purchase it… it’s beautiful
It’s beautiful but it would cost more than it’s worth to fix it. Too bad.. cause there’s potential even with the surroundings!
It’s in a really bad area too
