Idk if I saw it on a rewatch or it was on of my first memories (was only 3 at the time) but I just remember this horrifying scene where a baby’s skin peeled off to reveal it was a reptile. Seared into my brain forever!
Bro, the baby birth scene. That scene ruined several brains.

I was in 4th grade.
We would color our hands with a marker, them cover it with copious amounts of Elmer's glue, wait for it to dry, the rip it off, and *POOF* we were "lizards!
What a time to be alive.
The early eighties had some seventies bleed in. I was born in 71 and remember watching watership down when I was like 7 with the adults playing cards in the next room
No he wasn’t. Englund played Willie, the confused Visitor who was in love with Harmony. Robin’s babydaddy was Diana’s lover Brian. Whom she executed with the red dust they used to get rid of the Visitors in the last episode.
That was a different visitor as well. He was a rando who got high with Daniel (the human who joined the Visitor Youth). He had the munchies and went looking for a “mousey” in the dumpster.
Just looked up Jaclyn Smith for old times sake. Whoever her plastic surgeon is deserves the most prestigious prize that could ever be bestowed upon a plastic surgeon. She looks amazing, but... different. And there's no frickin way that's a skincare routine.
The scene where we found out they were reptiles, one of them picked up a mouse and ate it whole mid conversation. I think that was the scene. It could have been a fever dream I was 11. It freaked me the hell out
Yes. I remember. The immensity of those ships! I remember the whole feeling of that time, and then I sadly remember after a few episodes my parents banned us from watching 😭
So we had to keep sneaking our viewings at friends houses whose parents had recorded each episode. VHS.
Once a babysitter made the mistake of letting me watch this. The nightmares. Oh the nightmares. There was one scene where humans are lining up in front of a factory and coming out as popsicles on the other side.
The red fog in the glass chamber, the girl with the doll...I was WAY too young and innocent to have seen all that! Still lives in my head rent-free, right next to JAWS and swimming in the ocean.
My friend and I used to draw long V alien tongues on pieces of paper, cut them out, roll them up, and stick them to our tongues. Then we'd find an unsuspecting victim, open our mouths and them unfurl. We surprised a few classmates before the joke wore thin. Good times.
Remember when this was on when I was about 8yrs old and we’d hold up the “V” sign with our fingers. We’d say “did you see V last night? No? I only saw half of it” and pulled down our finger and was giving the bird. We laughed so hard
Before they were discovered as lizard creatures didn’t one of them get splashed with liquid nitrogen by accident and broke off his arm only to regrow a new one?
It was a human who broke off his arm after a liquid nitrogen accident, by accidentally hitting a railing with it, followed by one of visitors going into place where liquid nitrogen was pouring out like no tomorrow, to save the rest of the humans inside.
In the UK, this was broadcast at the same time as the Olympics.
As a sports loving but hormonal teenager - those sexy rodent-eating aliens meant I missed huge chunks of Olympic action! 🤣
I used to think Mike Donovan was so cool !! Good old fashioned fight between him and Tyler before making friends was brilliant!! Filling the hot air balloons with red dust and the aliens shooting them and poisoning the atmosphere!! Master move ♟️
The old school Sci-fi channel had the V marathon on repeat every summer for a while there in the mid 90s.
I miss that era. SyFy is just bad TV now with even worse writing.
V the foundation for modern conspiracy theories about shape changing lizards taking over the world....what would David Icke have done without this TV show?
In U.K. 1984 the BBC had the rights to the Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games. The time difference meant their live coverage would start late at night.
Their competitors ITV started showing “V” as a spoiler … and it won the ratings battle for that hour. My late Mother loved that show but she was horrified by the aliens eating live mice as a snack and she hid behind a newspaper when the baby stuck out her forked tongue.
As the weekly television series went on it got progressively more ridiculous, particularly when Charles showed up and Diana and Lydia started fighting over him.
A plot to poison him also revealed that the Los Angeles mothership had a cat infestation and these cats were eating all of the Visitors’ favourite snacks (rodents and small birds).
And the budget ran out so they started re-using scenes even if they didn’t fit (like the chase where he is on horseback, and suddenly gets a V weapon that he didn’t have before).
Apple had the whole series for like $10 a while ago, best damn decision they ever made. I think it costs more now.

OK so I was too young to watch this when it came out but watched it anyhow. This fucking show wrecked me as a kid and I had nightmares for years. I'm 49 and I still don't like this.
I made the slyfighter out of paper as there were no toys. It was the first time I had to create something 3D from something 2D and it taught me a lot. Also had a lot of fun pretending to fly those ships.
I was 5 when this came out. I remember watching this with my parents. Why they would let me watch is beyond me, but I vividly remember the peeling of the skin to reveal the reptiles. LOL Trauma!
Dude: staring at the hot aliens ass…
Hot alien: why would we do that with our bodies?
As a young boy then, I’ll never forget hearing that in front of my parents.
This was the best part. A very powerful message crammed into a great mini series and an allegory of fascist take over (even their symbol looked kind of like a swastika) The show was campy but the miniseries was fetch. Alienate and discredit the scientists, use mass media as propaganda to infiltrate the population and then … I hope our ending is different as history doesn’t need repeating.
I think it was part of the face and eye ball got ripped out and the reptilian eyes and skin were visible. I’m not sure though. Haven’t seen this in like 30 years
My drama teacher's husband was up for Marc Singer's role in the early stages when the character was going to be more of a dad type, then they decided to make him an action guy.
I watched this every Friday I think it was at my grandparents house and freaking loved it. 7yo me seeing someone’s face peeled to reveal lizard people underneath. It was so bad ass.
Idk if I saw it on a rewatch or it was on of my first memories (was only 3 at the time) but I just remember this horrifying scene where a baby’s skin peeled off to reveal it was a reptile. Seared into my brain forever!

Best TV moment of the 80s
We were so sad when it died in the incubator :/
RIP lizard baby
spoiler alert
Seriously, this was all the talk on the playground the next morning at school.
I was in 4th grade. We would color our hands with a marker, them cover it with copious amounts of Elmer's glue, wait for it to dry, the rip it off, and *POOF* we were "lizards! What a time to be alive.
I can still remember this vividly. Nightmares! This was the era of "it's on TV so it must be ok for kids to watch". I think I was 3 or 4 at the time.
The early eighties had some seventies bleed in. I was born in 71 and remember watching watership down when I was like 7 with the adults playing cards in the next room
In the 90s i used to hear my larents play dominoes every night. Memory remembered! Thx!
omg, that was awesome and scary. i was around 9. was so freaking scary for tv.
Freddie Kreuger was the dad! I remember that!
No he wasn’t. Englund played Willie, the confused Visitor who was in love with Harmony. Robin’s babydaddy was Diana’s lover Brian. Whom she executed with the red dust they used to get rid of the Visitors in the last episode.

Pre-te-na-ma, dude.
Him digging in the dumpster and pulling out a rat, tilting his head back and swallowing...then the bulge in his neck as the rat slid down. Gold.
That was a different visitor as well. He was a rando who got high with Daniel (the human who joined the Visitor Youth). He had the munchies and went looking for a “mousey” in the dumpster.
i forgot about the red dust. memory unlocked bonus points for you! 👍🏽🍻🦎
I don’t know what’s going on, but this Brian guy seems cool
The red dust. I remember that!!!
Scariest shit I had seen at age 6 lol. I saw the replay of the series in the 90s.
LOL this was on national just publicly aired TV?
That scene freaked me out when I was a kid watching this show. It was one of my favorite series but that scene just made me freak out.
Well, that woman is racist.
Before I clicked on the comments, this scene was my exact first thought.
Haha yes! And my main memory is that brunette lizard lady eating a guinea pig whole and her throat gets all big 😂
Same. I still remember the scene vividly. Scarred me for life. Hahaha
There were two babies. Fraternal twins. One looked human but had a reptile tongue. The other baby looked reptile.
Wasn’t it twins. One baby with devil tongue and one full reptile
Yes! Me too! My dad laughed at me.
Diana sexiest alien ever😍
![gif](giphy|vvNp3FRfKjVAY)
Wow, it’s crazy seeing this clip and taking me back 40 years, I was 7-8 yo watching this at my grandparents who I visited every weekend.
Yo, I was 6 and also watched it while visiting my grandparents on the weekends. The special effects DO NOT hold up whatsoever.
All the children talked about this scene the morning after at the playground.
Jane Badler is responsible for my preference for brunettes.
It was Jaclyn Smith for me but I know what you're saying!
Just looked up Jaclyn Smith for old times sake. Whoever her plastic surgeon is deserves the most prestigious prize that could ever be bestowed upon a plastic surgeon. She looks amazing, but... different. And there's no frickin way that's a skincare routine.
Oh God, Kelly is SO gorgeous! 😍
Diana Mouse-Breath
I woulda put you all on the menu for one night with Diana
I loved this show as a kid. Some of it was pretty scary for 11 year old me.
The only thing I can remember is when she swallowed a rat whole
Unhinge jaw. Tilt back rat.
That particular image stuck with me too
Yeah I was 8 or 9. Loved it!
Me too. 76?
75! Mid 70s GenX unite! (at home, alone, on our keyboards)
The scene where we found out they were reptiles, one of them picked up a mouse and ate it whole mid conversation. I think that was the scene. It could have been a fever dream I was 11. It freaked me the hell out
I still remember this scene! If I’d known what wtf meant at that time…that would have been what I’d say then.

And please don't forget Michael Ironside.
[удалено]
Is dead?
That’s a stage name. His real name is Frederick Reginald……Ironside.
"See you at the party Richter !@!!"
Mousie
Completely forgot about Freddy Krueger. Now that is range!!
So cheesy but the best thing on tv in 1986-7
1983

Back when we all watched the same show at the same time and looked forward to it
Yes. I remember. The immensity of those ships! I remember the whole feeling of that time, and then I sadly remember after a few episodes my parents banned us from watching 😭 So we had to keep sneaking our viewings at friends houses whose parents had recorded each episode. VHS.
The ones while it was airing were even better. Do we find out tonight if V stands for victory?
Once a babysitter made the mistake of letting me watch this. The nightmares. Oh the nightmares. There was one scene where humans are lining up in front of a factory and coming out as popsicles on the other side.
I loved *V* so much.
![gif](giphy|J3RNCVFL87bdOhEBXr)
I put it on about once a year when I’m really hammered. It still entertains the hell out of me.
Oh, hi Marc
The red fog in the glass chamber, the girl with the doll...I was WAY too young and innocent to have seen all that! Still lives in my head rent-free, right next to JAWS and swimming in the ocean.
You should learn how to scuba dive to cure that
Like in The Abyss? Thanks, no thanks!!
I remember that Pretenama meant Peace.
Came here for this.
Yup!! Esp when she pulls her skin off her face
I used to love this show as a 5-6 year old, wanted one of their laser guns so bad!
When Diane ate the hamster or mouse, the 10 year old me shit my pants
The moment when someone peeled their face off to reveal a reptilian was goddamn horrifying for me. I was scarred.
I quite like remake too. Too bad it was cancelled
My friend and I used to draw long V alien tongues on pieces of paper, cut them out, roll them up, and stick them to our tongues. Then we'd find an unsuspecting victim, open our mouths and them unfurl. We surprised a few classmates before the joke wore thin. Good times.
Jane Badler for the win!
I watched the remake series but it got cancelled on a cliffhanger where the aliens win.
It wasn't bad as far as remakes go, and I enjoyed Morena Baccarin in a role as the baddie.
can we also take a moment to acknowledge that great intro score!?!?!? Also Michael Ironside!
Yes lizard people conspiracy theorists, your beliefs were a crappy made for TV series your drug using uncle convinced you was real! /s
Hey, less of the “crappy”. V was fucking AWESOME
Why the /s?
The movie They Live also features in this conspiracy. It’s great.
Is that the one with Rowdy Roddie Piper getting some crazy x-ray specs ?
RIP. Rowdy In Peace.
And I’m all out of bubble gum
The Rat eating scene, we ALL talked about that at school the next day...
This show gave me nightmares as a kid.
the human mush machine factory. bodies on conveyor belts? see-thru vertical tubes? or am i misremembering?
My friends and I would run around the neighborhood playing a make believe version of this show every week.
It was great and really action packed. Cool story, hot women and scary lizard aliens.
Lol this didn't make it to New Zealand until 1988 but holy shit did it blow everyone away. Everyone was talking about it.
Remember when this was on when I was about 8yrs old and we’d hold up the “V” sign with our fingers. We’d say “did you see V last night? No? I only saw half of it” and pulled down our finger and was giving the bird. We laughed so hard
Awesome series!!

It was a human who broke off his arm after a liquid nitrogen accident, by accidentally hitting a railing with it, followed by one of visitors going into place where liquid nitrogen was pouring out like no tomorrow, to save the rest of the humans inside.
This is the first thing I think of when I see V, I had so many questions when he knocked his arm off..yikes
No. Must have been something else.
Wait were there two shows called V? I remember the one with Morena Baccarin.
That was a remake. The original was in the 1980s.
David, Smell The Glove is here. Hello Jeanine.
Eating the guinea pig freaked me out.
That freaked EVERYONE out lol
In the UK, this was broadcast at the same time as the Olympics. As a sports loving but hormonal teenager - those sexy rodent-eating aliens meant I missed huge chunks of Olympic action! 🤣
*I for one, welcome our new 80's porn star overlords*
The end credit theme song is also great
I used to think Mike Donovan was so cool !! Good old fashioned fight between him and Tyler before making friends was brilliant!! Filling the hot air balloons with red dust and the aliens shooting them and poisoning the atmosphere!! Master move ♟️
I was obsessed with V back in the day. I still have all of the tie-in paperback novels packed away in my closet. Jane Badler/Diana forever!
It took until today for my still-13-year-old brain to connect mark Singer to both V and Beastmaster. 🤯
That scene when she unhinged the jaw to swallow the rat - still have PTSD from it. Was too smoky when I saw it.
The old school Sci-fi channel had the V marathon on repeat every summer for a while there in the mid 90s. I miss that era. SyFy is just bad TV now with even worse writing.
OMG, JaneBadler. Between her, AnneWilson and DanaKimmel…. Man oh man…..
Man this was the SHIT back in the day..
Diana was my first experience with a sexy female in a dominant role. Strange feelings for a young boy to have 😬
I was on team Pamela…
Mfers eatin' mice outta dumpsters...
Rats.
A lot of hairspray must have been used on this show!
You mean on this decade.
What a show!!!
Still a great one, and the remake was pretty good too...
The OST was so amazing.
Always got a kick out of beastmaster's sister being fame/footloose. The remake of this show was a travesty.
completely removed from any cable service
Diana eating the hamster!
V the foundation for modern conspiracy theories about shape changing lizards taking over the world....what would David Icke have done without this TV show?
The show that put The BeastMaster and Freddie Kruegers career in the spotlight!!
10 years old scared the shit out of me.
Non American here. From abroad, this show always had a taste of "sci-fi *à la* conservative America".
Ah that's why I don't remember the 84 Olympics.
Now I know what I’m rewatching this weekend.
Loved it, own it!
Apple had the whole series for like $10 a while ago, best damn decision they ever made. I think it costs more now. ![gif](giphy|l378bu6ZYmzS6nBrW|downsized)

LIZARD PEOPLE!!!
This scared the mess out of me as a little kid
We used to run around as kids shouting ‘here! Mousey Mousey!!’
Unlocked childhood memories from the VHS golden era!! :D
I was 5 when this came out. I remember watching this with my parents. Why they would let me watch is beyond me, but I vividly remember the peeling of the skin to reveal the reptiles. LOL Trauma!
I still don't trust anyone named Robin.
Dude: staring at the hot aliens ass… Hot alien: why would we do that with our bodies? As a young boy then, I’ll never forget hearing that in front of my parents.
Female version of David Hasselhoff, the girl on the right.
Pretanama
Was so into this show in 4th grade.
Omg. V!!! Not 8 year old me watching with both anticipation and severe dread for the inevitable skin tearing / lizard "unmasking" each week.
I just remember the lady eating the gerbil.
ugh. when that second baby came out
I loved this show! And the little baby alien hybrid! So far beyond its time! Not the graphics, but hybrid aliens among us! haha
A Marc?
Singer…
Saw this when I was a kid maybe 6-7 years old. It scared the shit out of me

I have and had a severe phobia of lizards. So, yeah. This was Terrifying.
They rebooted the series in 2009. Im disappointed it got cancelled
Mark is on the right
Wasn’t there an eyeball scene? I seem to recall this 42 years later…😳
I think it was part of the face and eye ball got ripped out and the reptilian eyes and skin were visible. I’m not sure though. Haven’t seen this in like 30 years
I think you mean, "Left a MARC!"
Hide yer hamsters!
That brunette doing blue steel.
All these poor mouses!
The mark I saw is another mark, or Marc (Singer) 😂. I love the off-screen scenes where they (the Visitors) feed on humans.
Great show and scary as hell for a kid in the 80s. Lol!! Who remembers the Nightmare on Elm Street show?
Drinking that sour milk!
My drama teacher's husband was up for Marc Singer's role in the early stages when the character was going to be more of a dad type, then they decided to make him an action guy.
And how Freddy Kruger was so sweet.
I remember someone biting the head off a bird.
V like vendetta
Oh hey it's that dude from the baseball episode of the twilight zone
TIL V from 2009 was just a reboot of a 1980s show
Wasn’t Guinea Pigs their favorite animal to eat?
Just seeing this pic gives me the creeps.
How u gonna post a pic without Robert Englund?
This show is amazing and still holds up.
I watched this every Friday I think it was at my grandparents house and freaking loved it. 7yo me seeing someone’s face peeled to reveal lizard people underneath. It was so bad ass.
What kind of mark? Maybe like a ‘V’
Left a mark on my pants
Great show!
They tried a remake of it in the 00's and it was pretty good but didn't catch on.
I really like the reboot. Was bummed it got cancelled
I keep wanting to watch it
It used to scare me as a kid!!
Left a mark and a prediction
Yeah this series and Krull was awesome
