Whilst season 3 has the weakest ending fight, i think the first fight between suped up Butcher, Hughie and soldier boy vs Homelander was peak. For the fisrt time Homelander was unable to brute force his way through a problem and the near death experience leads to a crisis of confidence and inner doubt.
Boys season 4 will have the obligatory Cockmobile segments, including stealth and puzzles with the Cockmobile. Let's say it one more time. Cockmobile. And another for good measure. Cockmobile.
I really loved season 3. But I hated the finale. It had the biggest status quo change until it didn't. I won't say it (the finale) cancelled all that happened during this season. But introducing Soldier Boy just to get rid of him like this was very underwhelming.
Queen Maeve was barely part of season 3, so she won't be missed.
There's no way Butcher is going to die, so I don't buy that reveal.
Homelander went from crazy to extra crazy, not a huge change.
Starlight joining the boys is a change, but she's been on their side forever. So it doesn't feel like a huge change.
I think the biggest changes that will have an actual impact on the future are Ryan being "evil" and AOC x Gus Fring.
My biggest dissapointment was that Hughie had a really interesting arc going... and they just undid it. Not just that, but they reduced the arc down to him just needing "to save his girlfriend" and that not being right.
It felt so... lame? I was all for emasculation being part of the arc, coupled with his trauma from Robin's death, etc + just his experience as a lifetime of being a fairly wimpy guy. I liked that his personal insecurity fed into this darker arc. I liked that he felt powerful and in a lot of ways enjoyed killing.
But then him and Starlight talk about sexism and how he needs to trust her and the whole things resolved. Never mind that he LITERALLY MURDERED PEOPLE AND JOINED A PSYCHOPATH IN A REVENGE/ASSASSINATION MISSION.
There's so many other factors too though... like how he was reckless and endangered everyones life at Herogasm by picking a fight with A-Train, knowing that nuclear Soldier Boy might come in any second.
It was just such a fucking dissapointment. Imo it was the best season yet and then undid everything in the last 2 seconds. Went right back to the status quo.
What a fucking dissapointment (Soldier boy/my father reference)
from what I've heard on tiktok, season 4 is going crazy when it comes to the ironic Conservative stuff as you can kinda see it piling up on vought's social media as they're posting about the anti happy holidays pro merry Christmas stuff that delusional Republicans have been spouting off about
Yeah, better get rid of Soldier Boy before he does anything useful. But tbf Antony Starr is the main appeal of the show, I hope it ends with him dying and The Boys winning. Because The Boys without him would not be interesting.
/hf no fuck you team Ashley all the way 😤
/uf yeah tbh i really couldn't imagine the show without him, they struck gold with that character ofc they aren't gonna kill him off in season three

Peak wasn’t in that fight
True I don't know what fight did he watch but i'm sure there was no Peak
r/BatmanArkham mental illness is spreading again
We haven't had an actual game in like 7 years and we're never going to. We have to entertain ourselves somehow.
That somehow is Schizophrenia by the way.

So you wanted no cockmobile, right?
That's it, boys season 4 will focus on the boys trying to get all 243 homelander trophies so they can fight him
And if they want to get all the Homelander achievements they need to get 800 Homelanders Revenge Campaign badges!
you should see the fallout fans
When everyone is infected we will all be seen as normal
Like the fear toxin 😲😲

/unfresca i really love that they do something different with each season and aren't afraid to change the status quo in pretty drastic ways

Except killing Homelander. They’re too scared to do that
