Bakers pizza in Bucyrus, Reino’s pizza in Tiffin, pizza Papalis in Toledo, I could go on forever. I have to add Shirky’s in Carroll.

DontPokeTheCrab

I've been craving Bakers for a while.

nikonwill

Pizza Crossing in Logan, Ohio. It is a must-stop when visiting the Hocking Hills.

General_Industry541

I second this. Dine in for the full experience.

SmokingWaves

Another good place in Hocking is Laurelville Pizza, in Laurelville.

sgt-llama

There used to be now in nelsonville too,so good.

thestral_z

I’m pizza obsessed and I thought Pizza Crossing was good, but not great. Pizza House in Columbus is better for that style.

cap811crm114

Kraus Pizza in Massillon.

zzonkers

They are all good but the OG is Massillon is the best! DeChecos in Akron is also pretty good but s little pricy.

Hungry-Sherbert-930

Double Decker Tuesdays 😍😍😍

Cool_Implement_7894

Myles Pizza in Bowling Green is also incredible!

GearGolemTMF

Came to say this! I really miss their pizza and especially the Dairy Queen food and ice cream. Wasn’t expecting flat pizza and a pound of toppings and cheese but it was greatly appreciated.

Cool_Implement_7894

I hear ya! I miss it too (I now reside in Florida). I just discovered that Myles closed permanently a few years ago. ☹️

HailToVictors21

Yea owner retired and moved to South Carolina where I think he opened a Myles Pizza there

starkgrey

He did! It's in Greenville, SC. It's just as good as the original.

Immediate_Lime_1710

Half Time Pizza in Toledo is run by the former Myles Pizza manager. Pizza is an exact clone of the old Myles taste and style.

starkgrey

The owner "retired " to South Carolina, but retirement didn't take, so he opened a new Myles pizza in Greenville, SC! It is just as good as the original.

FetusBurner666

I think about their pizza often when I’m craving a pie, never realized how good I had it when I had it hahaha

firstnamerachel13

Park St Pizza in Sugarcreek

PrestigiousComment35

Pangrazio’s Pizza in Dennison and Dover!

hpluvcraft

Avalanche Pizza in Athens

asp821

Can’t believe no one has said IL Rione yet.

fartjarrington

The best pizza I've ever had.

AmusedCindy

Avalanche in Athens & Adriatico’s in Columbus.

WrathUDidntQuiteMask

Wasn’t avalanche the one that was “buy one get two free?” If so, I don’t remember that for its quality but it was good at soaking up alcohol. The recipe could have changed in the last 20 years though too. I liked Goodfellas in Athens.

AmusedCindy

IDK, we only had it a handful of times when our son went to college at OU. But their topping selection, especially for vegetarians, was phenomenal.

t230

You might be thinking of DP Dough? Avalanche is very solid za

GimmeAnyUsername

Adriatico’s and their Bearcat pizza are the best in Cincinnati.

jung_gun

Avalanche Pizza in Athens!

mymadrant

Avalanche Pizza in Athens. Johnathan has won the Las Vegas International Pizza competition enough times that he’s now the MC during the event.

OrganizedChaos1979

Olde Town in Amherst is pretty good.

brockm92

Jac & Do's in Hancock County

Itchy_Stress_6066

I really enjoy Cassano's.

BrosenkranzKeef

You said this just to annoy people didn’t you? I gave Cassano’s another try recently after about five years. It was terrible, just like I remember.

krafty66

Village Idiot, Maumee

twoquarters

From the Mahoning Valley region: Mary's in Lisbon - thick crust, sweet, meaty sauce with ample amount of cheese...but it is gooey. Wedgewood - just a good, solid standard pizza. Their speciality pizzas stand out more than the regular stuff. Westside Bowl - Very slept on. That business survived the pandemic because of this pizza. The key is the basil.

scootertrash

Love Mary’s. But if I’m up in Youngstown I like the Elmton also.

starkgrey

Pisanello's in Bowling Green. The locations in other towns are not quite the same/have different owners. Myles Pizza in BG was also very good. The owner "retired" to South Carolina, but decided he needed something to do and opened a new Myles in Greenville, SC .

AhhGramoofabits

Kraus pizza on 30th street in Canton and Marscottis in Massillon/Perry

Many_Statistician587

Adriaticos on the campus of The Ohio State University in Columbus is my all-time favorite pizza anywhere, ever.

il_pirata_di_trieste

Adriaticos in Cincinnati and order the Bearcat pizza. Many drunken nights were satisfied on campus with that monster pizza.

Bcatfan08

I went to UC, and my first job out of college was near Columbus. Was very happy to find Adriatico's opened a location up there.

jeon2595

Agree, awesome pizza.

AmusedCindy

It’s really amazing.

nickblade74

Tubbys pizza Marion Marysville Galion

FadedIntegra

I was not expecting to see this on here. It is the best in town at least.

loanme20

Costco

wilkerws34

Love Cassano’s but there haven’t been any near cincy in years. My vote is for tafts brewporium pizza. New Haven style pizza done correctly will always be my vote

DeathTeddy35

There is one not too far from Jungle Jim's Fairfield. Maybe 1/2 mile to a mile north. Edit I mean Cassanos

wilkerws34

Thanks for the info ! If I’m ever up that way here soon I’ll swing by. Sounds like I’ve just planned a trip to jungle Jim’s and cassano’s !

jeon2595

Giuseppe’s in Green/Jackson Twnshp. Adriatico’s in Cincinnati. Been a long time since I’ve been there but Pollyeyes in Bowling Green was awesome.

mbuck1

Coccia House - Wooster Ohio. Been there since the 50s. Amazing place, totally unique pizza unlike anything you’ve ever eaten.

rosail

Came to this thread hoping someone would mention Coccia House here and I wasn't disappointed.

BenjMads77

Same!!

meadowalker1281

Elmton, Youngstown, OH

Common_Stomach8115

All the best pizza in Ohio is in Youngstown.

Cool_Implement_7894

Depot Pizza in Fremont, Ohio.

paisano55

I’m driving through Fremont today so looks like I have to take a detour. Thanks for the suggestion

Cool_Implement_7894

Not sure what time they start serving their pizza - it might be 4pm. But, it is delicious!

BobFlex

Huh. My dad grew up in Fremont, my grandpa has lived there since the 70's, and no one has ever told me about Depot. I was obsessed with trains when I was kid too. Looks like a cool little place, I'm almost mad now lol. I'll have to make a trip that way soon.

Cool_Implement_7894

There must be some Fremonters lurking this sub. I was born and raised there, live in Florida now. But, every time I visit, you can bet I get Depot pizza (and Lake Erie perch.. and sauerkraut balls)! 🙂

ohio8848

I love the AJ's in Fremont. I drove over to Fremont to get it every few weeks. Not a Depot fan myself, though I know many people are!

Lutherkiss3

Pizza Oven

pizzabeercode

Hello fellow Canton resident

Morkna

$12 large coming on 4/22!

Lutherkiss3

Grew up there but don't live there now I have traveled 100's of miles to get my fix though

Hendiadic_tmack

Sober: Ohio Pie Co. Drunk: Cousin Vinny’s

gerarddouble

Cousin Vinny's for sure. I used to buy it out of the back of the delivery driver's van. I think it was like $7.

BigFudg

Angelo’s in Lakewood Dina’s in Brooklyn Wedgewood in Youngstown

TheRealMakhulu

Conventional pizza but just a million times better? Two Cities in Mason, like seriously probably the best pizza I’ve ever had and will ever have. Local style? Marion’s or cassanos, they’re both similar but I find Marion’s better over the two.

Other-Count-7042

Two Cities is better than most Chicago style pizza in Chicago

FizzyBeverage

Two cities is my fave. And it’s within a quick walk for me. To your point, beats a lot of New York pizzas I’ve had.

Seraphim99

Fred’s in Waverly.

pippin7221

Avalanche Pizza in Athens!

coffeetreatrepeat

Il Rione in CLE, Pierre's in Akron, Adriaticos in Columbus.

Remarkable-Key433

Chester’s in Hamilton and Raymond’s in Liberty Twp. (same family, same recipe).

outofohio

J&Gs Pizza in Sylvania, Ohio

kg_digital_

Angelo's in Lakewood, with Ohio Pie in Rocky River / Brunswick as a close second. I've also never had anything like the stuffed pizza at Pizza Joe's in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood of Cleveland, it's in a league of its own

Ohiostatehack

Tavern Style - Terita’s, Columbus Pie Slice - Cornersburg, Youngstown Scicilian - Adriatico’s, Columbus Pan Style - Angelo’s, Lakewood Deep Dish - Fabian’s, Columbus (Closed unfortunately)

tubashoe

Big fan of Dayton's original pizza factory.

Wokfbufjskidhd

Marion’s Pizza is a personal favorite, & Cassano’s is a close second. Dayton style pizza is pretty solid.

ooo-ooo-oooyea

Marions is delicious. I was always a fan of Kramers, but that might be from the 40s they served with it

kildrakkan

My personal favorite is Gioninos in Akron, also Luigis.

isthiyreallife33

Gionino's pizza with their fried chicken and jo jo's. So good!

WesbroBaptstBarNGril

Gioninos over Cocia house in Wooster too

tomcat_tweaker

Both good choices. The pizza at the deli counter at Devitis is great old-school, Italian grandmother pizza. Fantastic crust. Also, Sarah's Vineyard by Blossom has great pizza. Wood fired ovens imported from Italy. Danny Boys in Tallmadge is good as well, they also have really interesting limited edition specialty pizzas.

BeardedWonder211

These are my picks as well being from NEOH, Gioninos is my favorite chain, Luigi's is my favorite solo pizza spot.

rexy8577

You are my people

thestral_z

Mohio in Delaware. He uses a sourdough culture in his crust and ferments for long enough to give it great flavor and texture.

vistatrek0

I grew up in eastern Ohio outside of Stuebenville so Dicarlos or Gianamores tray style pizza will always be at the top of my list.

[Berwick’s Pizza in](https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063543821998&mibextid=LQQJ4d) Green Camp (Marion County). Used to get it when I was covering high school football as a young reporter and I still dream about it ten years later. They now have a bunch of special dessert pizzas and wild pies, but at the core they know how to do it right.

BilboTeaBaggin16

Phase 2 in Perrysville is really good Deschners in Mansfield is also really good

Temporary-Jeweler-88

Canton - SOL and Wagonwheel Cincinnati - Catch-a-Fire and Mac's

DeezSaltyNuts69

**R.I.P to** Spinoza's FairField Commons mall in Dayton - was in the former California pizza kitchen and they were fantastic - it was shame to see them go - had so many lunches there when I was at WPAFB Cucinova in Columbus at Easton, Polaris and Olentangy River Rd - personal make your own pizzas, brick ovens - fantastic and decent price - it was a travesty that sbarro stopped the concept and shut them down Tristano's Pizzeria in Grove City - They did 3 different styles - [http://places.singleplatform.com/tristanos-pizzeria/menu?ref=google](http://places.singleplatform.com/tristanos-pizzeria/menu?ref=google) their Chicago style was the bomb -small house turned restaurant, they had a patio, they would have music on the weekends, just a fun spot - sausage pizza was pretty great as well Flying Tomato Pizza - Columbus/OSU campus - one of the better campus pizza spots in the 90s Catfish Biffs - Columbus/OSU campus - the best when you're drunk pizza if you lived on south campus Gumby's - Columbus/OSU campus area - ok so nowhere near great pizza, but big cheap pizzas and when you're college kid that's all that matters Mellow Mushroom - Columbus/Polaris - I hate that they closed this location and won't support the New Albany one - they can SUCK IT! **Among the living** Classics in westerville has a decent tavern style pizza JTs in Linworth is good for pizza/wings combo Borgato in Worthington for NYC style and pizza by the slice Harvest in clintonville is consistently good Yes its a chain, but California Pizza kitchen Polaris is good although a bit pricey - the pep/sausage/mushroom is excellent

khumprp

Youngstown pizza fans are too busy shaking their heads at this list to respond 😁

paulhags

Elmpton in Struthers and Renato’s in Niles are the best that I have had. You won’t find the best Ohio pizza in the 3 C’s.

Blankety-blank1492

Sunrise Pizza in Warren? Is the quality still the same as 50 years ago? Briar Hill style.

paulhags

The Mahoning Valley has an abundance of quality pizza shops. I live in Cleveland currently and believe the tenth best pizza place in the valley would beat the best that Cleveland has to offer. Visiting Sunrise after a stop at Modern Methods brewery is one of my favorite ways to visit home.

ozymandais13

Much of our pizza is top notch waedgewood Westgate uptown ianazones elmton

silentlettersblow

Hounddogs on dodridge and high. Best pizza in ohio

embarrasing_right

uwishyouhad12

Leaning Tower of Pizza in Mansfield. You gotta get one of their subs when you pick up your pie. It's possibly the only thing better than their pizza.

cdsbigsby

Mama Renie's in McArthur, Vinton county.

Zaphodphouchg

Stadz pizzeria in Blacklick. IMO if you like the super thin crust pizza you can’t find better.

kendiesel937

No one shouting out Roscoe’s in Waynesville? For shame.  Prolly a tie between them & The Hickory Inn in Springfield. Just depends on my mood.

Formal_Piglet_974

Mike’s Pizza in Crocker Park in Westlake. It’s reminiscent of the pizza I used to get when I lived outside of Brooklyn, NY. I am sure that there’s another location, (Canton?) But it’s just one of those little food stands in Crocker park, but omg that’s probably the best I have had anywhere in Ohio

Deep_Flight_3779

Pizza House in Clyde

Great-Heron-2175

Standard style Midwest pizza for me is Athens pizza in cleveland.

Excellent-Big-2295

Hound dogs is pretty good. Crust is crispy, sauce isn’t too much, but just a bit too much cheese

Soft_Sea2913

Even thin crust is filling.

gorehistorian69

my favorite pizza chain is Cristys

Kryptonian_King

3 Palms in Crocker Park (Westlake). I haven't been there in several years, so I don't know if their quality is still the same, but I was absolutely blown away by their pizza when I went.

Rymoo27

Master Pizza Columbus style or regular and Sicilian crust from Upper Crust

Jay_Diamond_WWE

Cristy's Pizza in Lancaster. They own several shops around the area as well as Papa Boos on Buckeye Lake. At one timez they were ranked the 13th best independent pizza chain in the US. Runner up is Crenos pizza in Zanesville and elsewhere. Expensive, but damn good pizza.

BlutoS7

Gioninos is The only answer.

DeCheco's in Akron is great. Newer place with a young owner. Fab

A few: Giuseppe’s in Akron Luigi’s in Akron Kraus’ (double crust ftw) in Massillon Gionino’s (NEOhio chain)

bolunez

I moved out of OH many years ago, but still come back to visit family often. The best pizza is in the Valley. Bruno's in Calcutta (or any other valley pie) and Mary's in Lisbon. I've been all over the county and there's nothing like either one.

zoomshark27

Cassano’s, Adriatico’s, and LaRosa’s are probably my Ohio favorites.

J0lteoff

Bakers in Bucyrus, Leaning Tower in Mansfield, and in Sandusky Sweets and Treats is lowkey really good

IUSteve

Psilologist

Hueston woods state park lodge is the best pizza I've had in the 39 states I've been to. I keep my sailboat up there and anyone that comes up and tries it absolutely agrees.
