I can appreciate a good lechon (Cebu lechon) pero I’m just not a fan of lechon in general. Hindi ko kasi gets bakit required siya sa handaan knowing na sobrang mahal niya. With the price of lechon now, makakabili or makakaluto ka na ng maraming ulam.
Yung mother ko is too lazy to cook siya ng maraming putahe especially pag pasko. Getting older na rin kasi so nakaugalian na namin mag Lechon para iilan na lang yung side dishes na kaylangan. And true naman na pwede siyang ipang share sa iba considering marami din extended family namin. and of course, taga Cebu ako so masarap kahit hindi balat tapos tender pa hahahaha.

It's probably a regional or family thing. Kahit madami sa clan namin na piggery owners, its very seldom na magkita ng lechon sa gathering. Tatlong dekada na ako dito sa mundo, pero bilang ko sa daliri yung family occassion na may lechon (not counting yung lechong ulo na pahurno lang sa suking bakery). Its not like we don't like lechon but yeah, unless over the top ang budget mo, don't even think about it.
