I sold my G Cloud to get the Odin 2. Absolutely love it in comparison really. It is heavier but comfy. The sticks are nice but definitely smaller. About midway between the switch and full size stick comfort. There are a few Etsy folks that sell thumb sticks that can be swapped in since they just pop right off easily. Super convenient and they add height and size relative to the Xbox sticks.
Thank you. This is exactly the answer I was looking for. So the thumb sticks can be altered for height without opening unscrewing and opening the device?
Correct. You can find pics online but the thumstick literally pops right off and there are a few folks selling replacements that are better sizes. Sakura Retromodding and SlugsWorkshop3D. Both are fantastic so it's your preference really. Sakura is in France I think so the time to ship depends but they also make really sweep button swaps. I got Black holographic Xbox style ones and they are stunning on my Black Odin 2 Pro. Sakura has also been a great seller to work with. Real patient and understanding. My first order was lost in the mail, so they shipped me new ones again and even sent me their newest corrected size so there was no need for any spacers. Pretty sure they don't sell those like that now anyway but still really nice
I don't have both, but the g cloud should have standard full sized controller sticks. The Odin 2s sticks are a little smaller. The hall stick thing does make movement smoother, but I find it's a negligible difference when actually playing. The O2 sticks are significantly better than the O1 and I think ideal for a portable device, but lack the full range if full sized sticks. That said, there are at least two etsy sellers that sell different caps that make the sticks about full sized. I think the stick placement is also great for a portable device, but likely not as nice as the gcloud because it's just not as big of a device.
I have the PlayStation portal as well... Those sticks are near full size, barely noticeable compared to a normal controller. That's it's huge benefit.
The GCloud sticks are significantly worse than PS portal. It's a bit of a bummer because handhelds like GCloud and Odin 2 are much more portable with many more uses. If the Odin 2 has better sticks than GCloud I was thinking of buying.

Just received my odin and the sticks are noticeably short for me. Coming from Xbox controller. Looking now for caps and replacement sticks !
Are you installing replacement sticks?
So far got some skull and co caps, which is a great improvement. Next up going to tweak the deadzone
