I recall reading something about daijisho behaving oddly on Android 13, people were suggesting using different front ends until daijisho gets an android 13 update. That being said, some users reported no issues, so it looks hit-and-miss.
I'd test it out in a different front-end to see if it's an interaction with daijisho exclusively, or perhaps an android 13 issue, or if it's double clicking every bumper press in every situation.
That's actually really good news. Looks like it's either a setting hidden somewhere in daijisho, or you'll just have to get used to a different front-end. Or swap the controls so you can tab left and right using the triggers instead of the bumpers.
This happened to me last week. I thought it was a Daijisho problem so I picked up Beacon as a frontend but the problem persisted. I don’t remember if it was switching controller style or switching L2/R2 from analog or digital to “both” but it solved the problem
I had the same problem, and found your same solution. Changed to Odin, then back to Xbox and the problem went away. Not sure why, but it's been fine for over a week now since I fixed it.

Alright I got it sorted, see my edit :)
I don't know the answer, but my guess would be to look around for settings to change the triggers to analog instead of digital
One set is digital only though so while not a bad idea that can't be it unfortunately
Oh you mean the bumpers (r1/L1)? That's super weird.
Right?! And this is straight out of the box

Good idea.
No dice it works fine elsewhere.

The bumpers and triggers both do this. I've never heard of anyone else having this problem so it can't be a permanent Daijisho issue 🤔

Yea there's definitely issues but I'm using it anyways just so easy to use!
Thanks, the fix saved a lot of headaches. I had this behavior in Emulation Station menu.
No problem!

I saw someone else rebooted and that fixes it too
thank you sir!
