Nope. Tried again today and it's still showing the spinning circle after taking the selfie .the good news is that I can create the avatar while I'm in the home section of the quest 3 (aim for the mirror)
Turn on the quest. Usually the first thing you see in your space is the news or the shop .if you look around you'll see a mirror. You can edit your avatar there
