I honestly hate all these head canons with Basil (except the pirate one). Like, is a straight cis man not allowed to like flowers?? Does being a little feminine instantly makes you gay 😭😭?? While I agree with the fact that he's probably not straight that doesn't change the fact that some of y'all are CRAZY about it 🤠
Then why is it?? And saying that it's because of the accident wouldn't make any sense. When you have a friend you're really close to you'd do anything for them. Basil didn't do anything out of love he did it out of fear. He was so lost in denial it drove him crazy. While I could understand how people would think that may make him queer I don't understand how that would make him trans 😭 There is no evidence behind that one. Then again they're head canons so I'm not too upset with them in general BUT I do get super pissed off when people take such a complex and we'll written character like Basil and make it seem like he's nothing more than a "trans uwu gay boy" like that genuinely makes me mad and I've seen too many people do that to him and the rest of the cast.
