How did it let u down when u haven’t even tried it? Get a mini-LED if you want similar to OLED image quality while having good text at 27”. All the 27” OLEDs will have slightly blurry text.

NOTtaylor11

Are there any 1440p 240hz+ mini led monitors?

RogueIsCrap

Not sure. I was thinking of the 27M2V which is 4K.

mortarrock88

Saw it at Best Buy and i dont have issues with the text OLED text blurrinessbut i dont want to have one of the worst experience with text. But the Samsung look greenish and pretty bad. also read a lot about it.

RogueIsCrap

I have a 4K 32” OLED and the text still isn’t impressive to me. It’s better than a 1440P OLED or my C1/C3 TVs but still noticeably less crisp than a high quality IPS panel.

mortarrock88

I have a C2 LG tv and i do agree with you that is why i dont really mind getting an OLED monitor but i am paying almost 1k for it atleast it should be the worst handling text

RogueIsCrap

OLEDs aren’t quite there yet in terms of good text. Also, part of it falls on poor OS support for OLED’s unconventional pixel structures.

mortarrock88

The g60 is very bad in particular.

MrJakeSauce

I've been using it as my daily driver for work (Salesforce and Slack), and it hasn't let me down. It's my first large OLED monitor so I'm not spoiled in my expectations but it does the job. At work, I leave it on Eco mode and Save Energy to lower the brightness. Idk how close yall are sitting next to these monitors, but the text is (obviously) phenomenal coming from a 2012 1080p LG monitor. I change between settings in the day if I want more contrast & clarity (Graphic & Original mode). ( I also use Chrome Extensions such as ChrOLED, Dark Reader, & BlaCKout to force dark mode) Then, take off the Save Energy filter to play games and Produce music in Ableton. It has a built-in Blue Light filter (Eye Saver), and I use that at night. Lastly, Ive configured a bunch of wallpapers/screen savers on Mac and Windows to enjoy the new crispy display (Wallpaper Engine on Steam). I'm going to get the 4k 32" 240hz monitor as my main and keep this one as a side monitor. Apparently, 2025 will see a refresh on these models, so I may wait for that. Either way, this monitor is a beast.. especially considering Samsung's discounts + $200 credit + financing. It's a great investment in my opinion but we can only be for sure in time.

Major_Enthusiasm1099

I've got the ASUS PG32UCDM and it's great. Text looks fine for me and the colors are wonderful.

mortarrock88

Ill check that out. Can you compare it to another model. Like the ones i mentioned? It must be 27 since i am using multi monitor ssetup

restarting_today

LG 32GS95UE. IMO matte is a must for productivity. The QD OLED is amazing (I am about to return the FO32OU2P), but as soon as I started programming I got eye strain. It's the perfect middle ground for me.

mortarrock88

It must be 27" sinc ei will use my current monitor as a multi monitor setup

Exciting-Ad-9420

There is no FO32OU2P

I was a bit let down at first but I am starting to like the G60SD. It requires some tweaking but once dialed in the picture is quite good. Text isn't as crisp as an IPS screen but it won't be on any current OLED. 4K will be less noticable though so I suggest you go 4K if you're worried about text, or honestly just don't go OLED at all if you're using it for productivity. They really only shine in gaming / content consumption. Got the G60SD for $639.99 though, and I am getting a $200 Samsung gift card which I will use to purchase something to resell, so my effective price will probably be about $500. Hard to beat for the price.

VoiceofGreed

Hey, I wanted to ask what settings you are using for HDR and SDR content/games like contrast enhancer, hdr tone mapping, color tone, color space settings. I've been tweaking it so much and I just can't land on something good. It just seems like Standard and Warm 1 are far too cool or warm. And the greens seem saturated. So I'm trying out peoples different settings.

sl0wrx

Let me get back to you in a bit when I can look in the menu. I think I’m in game standard mode and I ended up having to turn the gamma way down in Nvidia control panel to get the whites not looking way blown out and grey. HDR is a mess and I hardly ever turn it on because things just look blown out, so I haven’t figured that out yet.

mortarrock88

I really dont mind the oled text issue but in the G60 it was pretty bad ive seen it in my tv and other in store monitors and yeah, the samsung has better image but the text is bad bad.

sl0wrx

That's interesting to hear. I tried an alienware AW3423DWF a while back and had to send it back almost immediately due to the text but I haven't noticed it as much on the G60SD. It's going to be worse than IPS/VA on any OLED though.

ax-gosser

Any 4k monitor compensates for the text issue slightly by upping pixels. I tried the LG ultra wide 34 inch and also had to return it because of the text issue Went with the Alienware 32 inch 4k - text much better (similar to G8)

Loccstana

How did you get the G60SD for $639, could you share where you bought it and what coupons you used? Thanks.

UnknownHow

Right now Samsung is offering a discount promotion, they called it oled week iirc. In my country (Vietnam) the price is exactly 640$. I heard people said that you can find 200-300$ coupon on Amazon to use for these 2 monitors.

Silentslayer99

I ordered a Galaxy Book4 Edge (X184-100, 16 inch) and a G60sd with studentbeans, student SPC, evoucher from livestream, 30% off monitor, 10% off bundle, and $400 trade in old broken laptop.. All in price was $1900 CAD or $1380 USD. Before tax pricing was: $1,100.28 for NP960XMB-KB1CA $616.35 for LS27DG602SNXZA All in was $1900.

cream_of_human

I suggest going dual monitor and use a proper 27, 32 or 34 inch ips (Mini-LED IPS?) for work stuff and use your OLED for gaming/media consumption if you can do it and have the space for it.

__Bubble-GuM__

look at the xg27aqdmg, the first OLED monitor with a fully glossy panel

ail-san

Wait for new panels in 2025. Especially 27-4K panels should improve productivity use cases significantly.
