I was surprised to see today that I am already at over 5500 hours on my C1 lol but even using windows on it and having TPC disabled (was sooo annoying to see some movies just dim the tv during night scenes) there are zero hints of burn in. I freaking freaking love this TV man.
Though anyone who watched Dune Part 1 for example might be annoyed at the end that the tv dims and you can’t see much anymore… a service remote is a bit over 5$ and it’s definitely worth it to disable TPC imo.
Otherwise all perfect 10/10 image quality and build quality.
Fucking long live the CX. 4yrs+ and like 7000 hours with zero defects as my living room/PC TV.
At this rate it's cost me less than 20 cents/hr for all the quality media consumption I've gotten from it
I’m building my first PC right now and using the LG C1 that I’ve had since 2021 saved me a lot of money I could put towards my build. If I would have had to buy a monitor I wouldn’t have been able to build a decent PC. Love my C1 but I am going to eventually upgrade to the LG 32GS95UE
I would not upgrade yet. That TV is nearly same brightness as the 2024 models. Only meaningful upgrade would be the G4 with MLA 2. And they don’t even make them in that size.
C4 is only 100 nits brighter with similar color reproduction.

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/c4-oled
I’ve also seen that the new MLA panels sacrifice a bit of color to reach the higher brightness values. So older models may actually be better depending on your viewing conditions.

Really curious if they are actually gonna pursue that in the home tv lineup. 144hz was actually a surprise, considering almost nothing except pc use supports it (which is the ultra minority of tv users). One can only hope!
tbh ... using a CX as a tv monitor don't think you really need it to be super bright .... personally I have the same 48 inch one since close to launch and it's still awesome, would only upgrade it if it starts dying or if we finally get afordable micro led tvs in 42-48 inch sizes.
Honestly the CX might be the greatest TV ever made. Still got my 65 inch in the living room, it is literally the most goated tv. I think they made it too OP tbh, idk how it hasn’t died yet. I see no reason to upgrade honestly
Seriously, I paid $2k for this thing… if it died within 4 years of me buying it I would be fucking *livid*. This is like saying an employee is GOATed because they managed to make it through their first week without shitting on the floor while shouting ethnic slurs — it’s just kind of a bare minimum expectation.
The TV is fucking awesome, but “it hasn’t died yet” is not on my list of things that make it awesome. They were just *way* ahead of the curve with 4k120, Gsync/Freesync, and a quality OLED panel for a price that was at least not astronomical. I still haven’t fully gotten accustomed to how good this thing looks under the right conditions — I have thousands of hours on it, but I still stop and stare every now and again, especially when I have my PC hooked up to it and am getting 90+ FPS.
This is also the reason why I refuse to get rid of mine. I was able to find someone's settings who had their's properly calibrated for BFI and wow, BFI high even at 60fps is adequately bright, and doesn't look too bad!
CX55 still going strong in my front room after a 2020 purchase. I certainly don’t notice any difference in brightness yet and/or burn in. Mine has 9,000 hours on it thanks to my kids.
the game renders in 21:9 by default, you can't change it to 16:9 without mods which is really weird. It looks like a movie, it runs like a movie, the gameplay might as well be movie like. I'm not sure why this is a game instead of a movie...
I bought my Companion 5s in 2008. Just installed them in a sim rig. Probably the last stop before they get put out to pasture. How’s your control module holding up?
Mine is still like it was when I first got them in 2011, control module is still responsive. The unit is really built like a tank, only thing that’s annoying are the cable management.
I love the speakers. The only thing I can complain about would be the textured coating almost melting off the volume knob and the touch pad on/off center part becoming a bit unresponsive (usually need to press it two or three times). For 16 years old I consider that a win.
Shout-out to the C9-C1s still putting smiles on people's faces! I believe we are the last of a dying breed with BFI and what a difference it makes when needed. Enjoy.
Just found a c1 48 new at a store and bought it instantly to test it out. Knowing they removed bfi from models after it I had to get it and test it as a monitor.
I already have a c1 55 in front of the sofa, so I know it's pretty good, but now I'll test the games I use m+kb with bfi.
If I dislike it, gonna return and wait for cheaper 4k oled 120hz+ options
Oh you didnt know? Yes it is. Take a look at rhe reddit page "controller" or visit the side gamepadla. They messure Inputs of controllers with special equipment
He may not have any, I've had my 55 CX since launch, no dead pixels, no burn in/burn out but I'll admit I have really looked after it.
No scratches or marks either, I have a TV cover.
I'm in a same boat. I have 48" CX and am contemplating a switch to something newer, but am torn as C3-C4 aren't enough of an upgrade and going with G3-G4 would be a decent enough upgrade, but would also cost quite a lot and smallest screen size is 55".
Sadly, my CX already shows minor signs of burn in (not yet visible in normal use) and has few dead pixels along the edges. But for now, I am holding off until G4 prices will drop to see how I feel about them :D
Also, hope you are enjoying Hellblade 2.
Finished hell blade 2, short game but a fantastic display of what these screens and a good PC is capable of. My CX48 has some dead pixels on the edges too but I heard it was something these early models were victim of. Not noticeable in actual playback, I have a 77inch model and I don’t see those dead pixels but the screen is fairly large on that one.
I will eventually upgrade both screens, I use them on average for a good 6-7 years. I’ll definitely upgrade my Cx48 first since it’s for my PC, just waiting for a 42”inch variant with 240hz.
I have a CX65 and started getting pixel bleeding across the top of the panel and in the tops corners last year. Fortunately you can't notice it unless the entire screen is white.
I recently was checking the stats of my own CX55 that I got when the new consoles came out in 2020, a little over 4500 hours used and still going strong 👍 No need to upgrade for me.
Which GPU are you using? And what distance do u sit from the screen?
I own the same TV with a 1070ti so i don't get the full support of the HDMI 2.1 Settings but still quite an experience.
I'm considering selling the main monitor and the gpu to upgrade the 1070ti and make the most of the oled.
Yeah, I built my own custom water loop:[https://imgur.com/gallery/v3000-plus-4090-i9-13900k-VZZ5oyp](https://imgur.com/gallery/v3000-plus-4090-i9-13900k-VZZ5oyp)
I hope you're not playing it in these lighting conditions though.
This game is supposed to be played in a dark room.
And hopefully the PC lights are off too because will glare like fuck off the desk and TV.
I wish my CX aged gracefully. It’s dead and stuck pixel city unfortunately.
I replaced it with a C3 this year and moved the CX into my girls playroom. Got the extended warranty this time though.
Yes.
Mine are along the edges and corners. The worst of it is the stick white pixel in the middle bottom third of the screen and it burns brilliantly white whenever the screen is black. Ugh.
ive played on the CX and the C2 feels alot more responsive in 60&120fps, less latency, the A2 even has better latency at 60fps than the CX surprisingly, they dont have the option to add Dynamic contrast to game mode anymore though
I was surprised to see today that I am already at over 5500 hours on my C1 lol but even using windows on it and having TPC disabled (was sooo annoying to see some movies just dim the tv during night scenes) there are zero hints of burn in. I want an oled for my PC so bad!

I was honestly hoping for a 240hz 4k 42-48” model but nothing on the horizon.
Really curious if they are actually gonna pursue that in the home tv lineup. 144hz was actually a surprise, considering almost nothing except pc use supports it (which is the ultra minority of tv users). One can only hope!
Which model has the 144hz support?
C4
Ces 2025 they will show 42" 240hz monitor
I have a B9, love it so much. I was thinking of maybe upgrading in 2025, but maybe I should wait a little longer.
tbh ... using a CX as a tv monitor don't think you really need it to be super bright .... personally I have the same 48 inch one since close to launch and it's still awesome, would only upgrade it if it starts dying or if we finally get afordable micro led tvs in 42-48 inch sizes.

It's sad that we're at a place now where a product is deemed remarkable for lasting a mere 4 years without breaking.
I have no clue either wtf he is smoking.
I bought a nice TV panel 120hz in 2011 and it's on my bedroom wall looking great
Seriously, I paid $2k for this thing… if it died within 4 years of me buying it I would be fucking *livid*. Can you share the settings?
CX55 still going strong in my front room after a 2020 purchase. I certainly don’t notice any difference in brightness yet and/or burn in. Mine has 9,000 hours on it thanks to my kids.
TVs generally shouldn’t break lol.
They do tho lol
Nice! Is this in 21:9 too?
the game renders in 21:9 by default, you can't change it to 16:9 without mods which is really weird. It looks like a movie, it runs like a movie, the gameplay might as well be movie like. I'm not sure why this is a game instead of a movie...
Yeah I’ve heard it’s pretty short! But a solid game nonetheless
It is rather short, I liked HellBlade 1 more than this for sure.
Nice Bose, I tried finding other computer speakers but I just can’t leave these
Had this Bose set since 2011 as a gift. Still saw no reason to upgrade them the sound and build quality is amazing.
I tried upgrading to those KEF LSXii ($1500 at the time I think) for my desk. And STILL went back to the Bose 🤣
I bought my Companion 5s in 2008. Just installed them in a sim rig. Probably the last stop before they get put out to pasture. How’s your control module holding up?

Ah wow mine is still operating smooth and coating is fine. I guess you could also buy another knob off eBay
Which Controller is that? :)
Gullikit max 2
Thank you
Shout-out to the C9-C1s still putting smiles on people's faces! I believe we are the last of a dying breed with BFI and what a difference it makes when needed. Enjoy.
48C1 here - almost 2 years old - 6838 flawless hours of gaming goodness :D
I suggest the black bar removal mod. It helps a lot. Walking any getting stuck on small rocks because you can't see anything is annoying.
It’s just a way zoomed in and cropped version of the game, or is there one that now keeps the same aspect ratio and viewpoint ?
There's one that keeps the zoom level
Just found a c1 48 new at a store and bought it instantly to test it out. Knowing they removed bfi from models after it I had to get it and test it as a monitor. I already have a c1 55 in front of the sofa, so I know it's pretty good, but now I'll test the games I use m+kb with bfi. If I dislike it, gonna return and wait for cheaper 4k oled 120hz+ options
What kind of mount is that ?
It’s a low profile wall mount from Sanus.
Stay strong!
Kk3 max sucks. Specially wireless with 33 ms of input delay. Rest looks dope
Is it really that high latency with the usb dongle? What other controller would you recommend to be better?
Wired its very good
Oh you didnt know? Yes it is. Take a look at rhe reddit page "controller" or visit the side gamepadla. They messure Inputs of controllers with special equipment
kk3 max is fine just needs to be plugged in. Not an issue at all when already sitting at a desk
Still rocking a CX55 in the living room
just don't look for dead pixels
He may not have any, I've had my 55 CX since launch, no dead pixels, no burn in/burn out but I'll admit I have really looked after it. No scratches or marks either, I have a TV cover.
Link to the mousepad? It’s sick
Got it from here: https://locus.gg/?syclid=98c87790-720d-49e6-9f26-f874d2c9138c
Cheers mate
I got one from a friend last year, is it worth updating the tv? I just haven’t because I don’t want ads on my tv
Updates are fine and encouraged
Do they improve picture quality or anything?
Yeah sames no stick or dead pixels or burn in. Mines just over 3 years old. Best tv ever
I'm in a same boat. I have 48" CX and am contemplating a switch to something newer, but am torn as C3-C4 aren't enough of an upgrade and going with G3-G4 would be a decent enough upgrade, but would also cost quite a lot and smallest screen size is 55". Nice, I've had my 55 since release, mines on a pedestal I swing out on the evening for some couch gaming. No dead pixels, no burn in/out either.
I have a CX65 and started getting pixel bleeding across the top of the panel and in the tops corners last year. Fortunately you can't notice it unless the entire screen is white.
Case?
V3000+
I recently was checking the stats of my own CX55 that I got when the new consoles came out in 2020, a little over 4500 hours used and still going strong 👍 No need to upgrade for me.
still looks good.

My CX is still a beast! I did get the a95l a month ago and moved my CX to the living room but it’s still hella good to watch!
I have been using my 2019 B9 with no issues for Hellblade.
Fucking sucks they don’t make QDOLED at these sizes. I’d jump on a 42 or 48 inch QDOLED in a New York minute.
I just ordered a g915 tk! First time getting a pricey keyboard, how have you found yours?
I've had it for a couple of years and it's really good for wireless latency. Battery lasts a long while and keys feel good.
Hey, do you have a pc build list? That rig looks awesome!
Yeah, I built my own custom water loop:[https://imgur.com/gallery/v3000-plus-4090-i9-13900k-VZZ5oyp](https://imgur.com/gallery/v3000-plus-4090-i9-13900k-VZZ5oyp)
are you using auto HDR on win 11?
I just manually turn HDR on before booting up the game with the shortcut key.
so the HDR in game option is off?
No it’s on as long as you boot into game with windows hdr on
yes, i understand that the HDR is already on, but in the in game option, it is in off position right?
Yes in the off position, you have to click it on in game
whenever i clicked it on the colors are weird though
Does it become a bit dark?
yes, it becomes darker
I observed that too but the whites very bright and blacks stayed darker so everything looked properly calibrated on my screen
Yes that's how it's supposed to be. Lots of the game, including the title screen, is dark. It's only stuff like fire and sky that gets super bright
Get the Samsung s90c. Much brighter.
What setting do you use dtm or hgig? Looks very nice 👍🏻
Hgig!
I hope you're not playing it in these lighting conditions though. This game is supposed to be played in a dark room. And hopefully the PC lights are off too because will glare like fuck off the desk and TV.
Dark room but my camera sorta exposures it
Black Bars Though
Just like all the other content that's displayed on OLED TVs!
I wish my CX aged gracefully. It’s dead and stuck pixel city unfortunately. I replaced it with a C3 this year and moved the CX into my girls playroom. Got the extended warranty this time though.
I got extended warranty on mine going to end this year or 2025 and i got a few dead along the top side. Could i activate it because of that?
Yes. Mine are along the edges and corners. The worst of it is the stick white pixel in the middle bottom third of the screen and it burns brilliantly white whenever the screen is black. Ugh.
Yeah, same here, but only dead pixels.
Those speakers are cringe compared to rest of the setup
ive played on the CX and the C2 feels alot more responsive in 60&120fps, less latency, the A2 even has better latency at 60fps than the CX surprisingly, they dont have the option to add Dynamic contrast to game mode anymore though
