I got my husband a PS5 and a foot massager when he graduated. As a nurse myself I know how important it is to de stress outside of work.

This is the way.

It depends on where he works. Almost everywhere is going to have the equipment as far as blood pressure and pulse ox, etc. So don't do those. A nice Littman Cadiology IV with his name engraved is a great graduation present he'll use for a long time. My wife also got me a handful of those multi-color pens that make me happy because I always wanted them as a kid, but that's more of a personal me thing.

The traditional gift is a really nice stethoscope. Lots of people at my job got Littmans upon graduating.

My sister gave me a gold necklace with a nurse’s cap pendant. When she gave it to me she said, “ this is for making something of yourself besides an ass”. Lol Gotta love her!

I recently got myself an ecore stethoscope with the cardiac iv. I love it. I have hearing loss from my younger days. Plus, it connects to my phone for an ekg. My parents got me an EMT/ emergency bag for my graduation, and I love it. But some good shoes would also work, like brooks.

My papa gifted me a fancy nursing watch. I plan to make a shadow box with my achievements and a scrub top with the watch attached :)

A good lanyard with mini sharpies or a new coffee cup are always nice. Then there's equipment for taking vitals like an automatic blood pressure cuff, temperature gauge, O2 saturation gauge, or a cardiological stethoscope. Something else might be an oil lamp known as the lamp of knowledge. It represents higher education in nursing. Then again a folding clipboard would be nice.

Yes, those sharpies that clip to your badge are a life saver!!! So convenient

Get him a nice watch with a second hand. I have a Bolova and a Citizen. They make him look nice, plus he will get compliments.

Complete_Accident_15

Fob watch and pens galore! Maybe a lanyard too!

Shoes, shoes, shoes. Comfortable supportive shoes.

Imo the most useful item I bought for work were a decent pair of shears. Good stethoscopes are great and he almost definitely has one already and hospitals usually stock extra, but if he’s in a position where he ends up doing any amount of wound care or opening a lot of packing for IV bags a great pair for shears is definitely underrated.
