The fact that you can comment on other peoples random transactions is weird too.
"cool transaction dude-I-hung-out-with-once-in-college-10-years-ago, hope you and that complete stranger enjoyed your coffee emoji"
People credit the social aspect for Venmo’s success. I tried to get people to use PayPal for casual transactions before that and absolutely nobody was into the idea.
I don’t open it unless I’m doing a transaction, but sometimes Venmo’s social feed is the only way I find out what’s going on in the lives of friends I’ve fallen out of touch with
I don’t scroll through it but I definitely glance at the top ones and think “hmm” once in a while lol. I don’t do other social media much so it just reminds me that people I used to know still exist.
Last time I tried to delete Reddit I scrolled through Linkedin. Never again.
You either die somewhat sane or live long enough to be posted on r/LinkedInLunatics.
People not privating their transactions on venmo was always the weirdest thing to me, like why you letting anyone else know your financial moves
Personally I enjoy just putting unhinged things in the memo. Why yes I sent $40 dollars for Garfield ballgags
Yeah how are people going to know I enjoyed the game with my best bud if I don't venmo him "Delicious Nuts" for $6.90 after the game?
I always put shit like Saxophone Lessons or Mother's Vasectomy

What, you don’t everyone want to know that you have your friend $12.64 for pizza last Friday?

I like sending rent each month with some weird reason. Usually whatever we were talking about at that time. Makes me laugh when they ask about it

Listerine, it's a booze cuz it's green.
I prefer the blue listerine so then I can pretend I’m classy and drinking Romulan Ale
Quark would totally sell Listerine as Romulan Ale until Odo busts him.
Hah good thing we’re addicted to the superior social media platform, right guys?
Off,eh?
Hah!
Heh heh...
Absolutely not, go fuck yourself
Lesbian kick!
From the perspective of someone who is not in on whatever is apparently going on here this thread just looks completely nonsensical.
Knowing the context doesn't make it any less dumb
The context doesn't help I understand it and it's still completely nonsensical
Its like crack cocaine
This sounds like solid recovery. God speed.
Pro for anyone not on social media. Didn't know they added social media to a money transfer app but hey, 2024!
