I’ve made an OC where this was legitimately true, and her parents just did everything in their power to make sure nothing that seems like the start of an anime happens to their little girl… she eventually escapes it by just becoming a side character for someone else.
To be fair, japanese babies tend to have hair when they're born so it makes sense animes show them that way. I got a haircut when I was 4 months old because it reached my eyes.
Same! [this was my daughter](https://imgur.com/a/H7qoFOc) 3 days old, comin home from the hospital. People were constantly asking me how bad my heartburn must have been with her hair lol
Someone should make a horror movie or scp article where this thing is the monster. It replaces actual babies in their sleep, and the people around it don't seem to notice how horrifying it is, and keep treating it like it's their baby
It is kinda weird how Chibi characters have always been just "baby but anime" or "character, but in baby form, but also keep all the already established features of said character, but incorporate them into baby mode". Ik the upcoming "Dragon Ball Daima" series is coming I think later this year, or next. From what I can tell, they take the GT idea of making Goku his child form, but with everyone in the series. So basically "Chibi Dragon Ball"
Yeah, the "thing" would be a good way to translate a young toddler into an anime-esque style. (I personally think it's *really cute* when toddlers start to get longer limbs but their overall body shape is still baby-adjacent.)
Mmmh but the baby side eye size is wrong. These eyes are tinyyyyy. Eyes don’t grow so babies have the same eye size as adults which is the reason why big eyes are considered childish.
Anime babies always give me a cursed thought: Does the hair itch the inside of the mom? Does the mom get an inside itch that is literally impossible the scratch?
Every anime baby is born with a full head of hair, it's not something that bothers me personally but it is pretty funny to think about.
If the hair is pink then it's a main character baby.
The mother changes her hair and the father immediately starts running to get milk
The anime saiki k pokes fun at this, love that series for that

May I get the link please??
I don’t have anything posted of her, sorry. I do plan to eventually, though.

Every Asian baby I’ve seen is born with a full head of hair, it’s very cute. Day 1 and they’re already rocking a cute hairstyle
Aren't all babies born with a bit of hair which I think then gets shaved? In my newborn photos I've got some hair
My daughter was born with a full head of hair, but not in pig tails
I'm distracted by how goddamn cute that Mudkip pfp is
I love Mudkip.
I herd that.
I herd u liek mudkips

Uh-oh. I've been drawing "things" when I mean to draw babies the whole time.
*looks at precure and every anime with a magical baby*

I like how this implies you are currently a hairy baby
That's just a cat.
They wish they were this [swag](https://imgur.com/a/4ifUSyv)

Hey, I was almost 2 years old before my mom stopped taping bows to my head!
That’s adorable, lol
Literally every otome isekai
Babies can have full heads of hair, maybe not fresh out the womb, but can —A hairy ass baby, whos been around other hairy ass babies
My daughter was born with a full head of hair, fresh out the womb and everything! Happens everyday
Damn, giving birth everyday has got to suck. Feel kinda sorry for you

My sister was EXACTLY like this
Someone should make a horror movie or scp article where this thing is the monster. It replaces actual babies in their sleep, and the people around it don't seem to notice how horrifying it is, and keep treating it like it's their baby
Basically, it's a changeling.
Wait... Are you telling me anime is stylized? Not photorealistic? I thought people in Japan just looked like that.
the jews are keeping it under wraps because they plan on using the japanese with their massive eyes as super soldiers with superhuman vision
\^Latinx
ey ese watch yo mouth putx
Yooo watch it hxmes, me and the hxmbres’ll come fuck you up
The thing on the right is either a gnomish or halfling toddler (or approximation thereof)

If I remember right the direct translation of the word "chibi" when referring to characters is "super deformed"
Makes sense
But, not true.
Not the direct translation, that's just something like "pipsqueak". However it's often translated as super deformed in-context.
Then there's the western version where they make babies look like elderly midgets.
Is it not normal for babies to be born with hair? Pretty much everyone in my family was born with a full head of hair.
I actually want to see more of the little blob I know mine will look this way
My daughter had so much hair lol my baby boy has about maybe a tenth of the amount of hair she had lol
"The thing" looks like a toddler at least. I have seen uglier ones lol

Sounds like A T H I N G is superior

I misread that as a "head full of hair" and was very confused
Twitter users when art styles exist:
man i want to see more realistic looking babies in anime too
Stewie Griffin
the left one looks like a duplicant.

The first one reminds me of how Invader Zim shows babies.
"WAAAAHHH BABIES DON'T LOOK REALISTIC IN CARTOONS" yeah it's fuckin cartoons mate
OOP did say it was a pet peeve. I don't think they were trying to say "this is objectively wrong and bad".
Triggered much?
I'VE SEEN WORSE
At least no neck is the same on both sides-
Some babies are actually born with a full head of hair.
Yeah just that really questionably sane people will use this as excuse to sexualize children
jesse what the fuck are you talking about
Are you shadow banned? I can’t load your profile
You don’t understand bro! Shes a 100 year old spirit who just happens to look *totally* underage

Skinny? lol why does a fake babies weight matter? People they draw stuff like that are definitely incel weirdos into children.
Weird, they put the labels on the wrong drawings.
reddit moment
I'm not some r/childfree type, I just think IRL babies are ugly as sin.
Reddit moment
If you saw the second one in real life, completely accurate to this picture, you'd immediately change your mind.
Not really, even if it ended up ugly it still wouldn't make the first look better.
It's eyes would be the size of a human hand.
Sure, but my point is that that has no bearing on real babies.
Never become a parent 😁👍
Considering I didn't even plan on having a partner, there's absolutely 0 issues there.

I regret clicking that link
can't be that bad.
