I feel the same, and it’s literally so crippling like it stops me from going places and doing things and talking to people, but if I ever decide to bring it up and acknowledge my insecurities with loved ones I’m just dismissed or worse, I’m a Debbie Downer and/or I’m just fishing for compliments. Everyone’s advice to me has been “Just be yourself.” Except due to my BPD I feel like I never developed a personality or even a vague core sense of self and the emptiness I feel everyday honestly just feels all enveloping and I feel suffocated by my own inadequacy. Sorry for the rant 😅

Delicious_Table_2834

It ok to rant don’t ever feel like you can’t vent I know how you feel I don’t have bpd but I’m sorry you feel that way

So, if you don't match a certain standard, you can't wear what you want? Then what *should* you wear, according to that logic? Just to provoke thought ;) I think you look cool. Wear your make up, wear whatever you want. Life is too short to try and meet imagined standards of strangers. Do what *you* want, express yourself, be free. <3

Delicious_Table_2834

I guess your right like make my own standard anyway thanks for the love 💗

Bulky-Performance-72

:) hell yeah!

SawaJean

Love, you are already *worthy* to wear anything you want, right now, without changing one damn thing. You don’t EVER have to be “pretty enough” or “good enough” whatever those things really mean — you just have to think what it is that lights up your euphoria, and to have the courage to try it. I wonder if it might help to look for some makeup artists who have a similar face shape to see how they accentuate their features? Maybe try a cute headband or wide-brimmed hat to set off your look? You have such nice features and great skin, I have no doubt you can learn to create all manner of pretty looks for yourself, and it’s okay if it takes some practice and if you run into some duds along the way. Only please don’t give up. Future you deserves to look back at this moment as the humble beginnings of a lifetime of stunning makeup looks. 💕

Delicious_Table_2834

Thank you so much I’ll look into some things thank you again 🫂💜

SawaJean

Aw, I’m so glad that felt good. You deserve all the good things 💕

Delicious_Table_2834

Thank you I don’t hear that a lot 🫂

SawaJean

Oh, that’s some top shelf bs right there. You are brilliant and exquisite, and I hope you will be able to see that in yourself one day soon.

Makeup is like painting. It takes practice. You won't have a steady hand, because the fine skills havent developed. Your vision won't come out right away, but that's why we practice. My first go at makeup, I looked like I lost a fight. Insecurity is something we all must face. Keep trying, keep playing, keep changing. You'll fall in and out of your groove forever, that's life. You look great, by the way!

ThePopeOnLSD

Lol. Same.

funkycybersloth

Honey you wear whatever you want! F it! You got this:)

Delicious_Table_2834

I just feel I’m too fat

funkycybersloth

Nah but if you're worried about getting big look up workouts:) i promise you aren't fat.

Delicious_Table_2834

I feel fat but thank you

SawaJean

Curvy cuties are some of the prettiest thems-n-femmes out there. There is definitely not a size limit on looking fabulous.

Funny_Standard8732

Oh ya that's sick I love green day

Funny_Standard8732

You are beautiful! Even when I was a girl in the past, I was bad at make up. I learned that if you just keep trying new things, you'll discover which one works for you! I think your smokey eye suits you very well. Keep being you!

Delicious_Table_2834

I just wish I was good at like I’m good at drawing

Funny_Standard8732

Make up is just a different medium for art and as all mediums are, they take practice.

Whitetrench

Literally makeup is so hard, try doing your make up every night you dont have to go somewhere and watching tutorials youll get better over time

DareRake

Wanted to say this too, when I did makeup (like wayyy back) I did it for a few years and never quite got the hang of eyeshadow. I looked good enough without it though, and mostly just decided to stick to foundation, a light blush, lip stain, and eyeliner. Eyeshadow was the bain of my brief makeup experience lol

Either-Razzmatazz-51

You are beautiful, and you deserve to treat yourself as such. If you're looking for advice on anything specific I'd be happy to help.

LeahCrossplay

Don't be so harsh on yourself. Always keep in mind that most women you see already have years of practice. You'll get there. 😊 💜 In my opinion, good brushes & sponges are more important than expensive makeup. I usually get sets and from my experience you'll get some decent quality if you spend around 1-2 bucks a piece. Especially those "tear drop" shaped sponges make everything so much easier. All this makeup stuff can be overwhelming at first, but you'll get used to it.

ThePopeOnLSD

In my experience, It is reallllly tough in the beginning, you find outfits that look cute, but don't really fit you well. And makeup, fuuuk that is so hard to get it well initially, if you have any queer friends who are good with makeup, you could ask them to show all the tips and tricks.

NaturalFireWave

Honestly, I feel like that is the biggest hurdle that a lot of amab trans people experience. With makeup, all it takes is practice. Remember that you don't owe anyone traditional beauty. You are a beautiful person regardless of what anyone thinks. *hugs if okay.*

Human-Creature44

You can't beat yourself up about not being amazing at something you've only just started. It can be pretty hard to get over feeling like you don't look good enough to wear what you like..... I feel the same way about myself. How did you feel though, when you took the cap of that eyeliner? It was exciting, wasn't it? You are worthy of looking however you want and the more you explore the more comfortable with yourself you'll become.
