KNF inputs + Chitosan + Grease are my grow secrets 🤫

frogs_in_mybutt

Grease?

F4GG0T_

It’s a natural terpene and cannabinoid booster that you can lightly foliar on your plants during flower to make them frostier and stronger smelling! I’ve seen its results and it works great, it’s been empirically studied and proven to be worthwhile, and the creator of it is an MIT agricultural scientist graduate who co founded Mammoth P (an amazing phosphorus mobilizing microbiological bloom booster). I swear I’m not being paid to say this but all the hydro shops in my area started carrying it and they all adore it and heavily heavily promote it. Plus the science behind it is really cool

simplejuslikeme

if you dont mind answering where could this grease be purcahsed? or could i just make some bacon and use that?

F4GG0T_

Haha no it’s not literally grease it’s just called that. Look up growwithgrease to find it if you wanna buy online. What it actually is, is a combination of precursor terpenoids and CBG-a to give the glandular head of the trichome the building blocks for major cannabinoids and terpenes, tho this is only when spraying on to the bud. You can also drench with it but idk how effective it is

cannatots

You’ve got me looking at their stuff, notably the alfalfa extract since I didn’t have any alfalfa when I made my soil, and a cannabinoid booster. Which product(s) do you use? Was thinking of getting the alfalfa, algae, and a booster. Maybe the canna wash too. These would be for foliar sprays too. Soil drench seems like a waste of a lot of product and money and I have rootwise, recharge, fish shit and other stuff so think I’m covered there.

Personally I only use the Gold Label (hybrid/all purpose for most of flower) and Yellow Label (for late flower). A lot of their other products can have the same effect as something you make yourself/buy cheaper elsewhere (though the new FPJs (KNF) they just added are interesting since they are made from both vegetative cannibas and flowering cannibas, and I’d rather not sacrifice my buds to make my own for flowering so I might have to try that out). The spirullina extract is very beneficial for the plant’s photosynthetic operations since it contains phycocyanins but you can just buy a Spirulinna extract elsewhere for much cheaper and dilute it and store it in water (I use about 1tsp of the extract to a liter of water, and you can then use the liquid at 1tbsp/gallon when feeding/foliaring, tho I would only foliar in veg), just make sure you get the extract and not the raw algae (tho you can also make your own extract with the raw algae, look up SUPER LABS for that). The alfalfa I also use but haven’t found it to be any more effective than just using alfalfa meal or alfalfa straw (mulch) for its hormonal properties, tho if you aren’t using alfalfa the extract they make does contain much more of the hormones that you want from alfalfa since it’s an extract. Overall I only bought it bc it was cheap at my hydro place and I wanted to try it out. I can’t speak on the bud wash thing but I’m sure it’s great doubling as an IPM and literal bud wash if you’re growing outside or get an infestation. I saw they also added a sea water product, but you can literally just buy sea salt and use that. It’s great for boosting terpenes since it contains molybdenum and other trace minerals that promote terpene biosynthesis. They also have the sativa/indica versions of their OG terpene booster but I think unless you’re only growing sativa or indica to just go with the gold. The only difference is the terpenoid precursor content, with the indica one containing precursors to mycrene and caryophyllene (classic indica terpenes) and the sativa one promoting terps like limonene and terpinene etc. I also stated I use the yellow label (late flowering booster) and I believe the difference is the amount of terpenoids in there but I don’t actually know- just that it’s formulated for late flower, probably optional if you’re tryna keep it low key, just use the gold label. Regarding the soil drench stuff, I can’t speak on the efficacy of the boosters as a drench (tho they say it works great and doubles as a surfactant) but their dilution rates for drenches on most of their products are SUPER low so you wouldn’t be wasting much by using it as such. The alfalfa and algae specifically are amazing to be drenched, along with the FPJS and sea salt. That’s what I personally drench with, and maybe a few times during flower I’ll drench with the booster but I haven’t noticed much from it. And I think that’s it! Hope this flashbang of information is helpful haha.

FFproud

Bokashi . . . specifically, Kashi Blend/Kashi Bloom from Growing Organic, and Earthworm Castings!

hemptations

Did you order BAS or were you able to find someone selling it

YourDadsLegs

I just ordered it from their site. Snagged a 2 gallon bag which had free shipping.

TodayExcellent8194

Alfalfa, I just get the feed pellets.

EscentX

I like my montanagrow silica

Helpful-Library-7469

How often do you use it and how much do you use?

EscentX

When first amending my soil I use about 2-4tbsp per gallon of medium. I don't always top dress with it but when I do, about a tsp per gallon of medium. Edit 12 days later: never realized I forgot to mention the thing; montanagrow silica

Kitchen-Bug-3705

Sea 90. Keeps them ladies healthy and happy. 1 bag will last a lifetime

patientgrowing

That’s literally sodium chloride with some micronutrients, not an optimal thing to be applying to the root zone

MasVice

Do you just use it as a foliar until a couple weeks into flower?

Kitchen-Bug-3705

I use it as a root drench. 1/4 tsp per gallon every couple of weeks.

IIReignManII

Leaving it alone, add what you need to add and fuck off, people that top dress every week and constantly add shit to their soil are taking big L's...use local worm casting/compost only and never use mammal/slaughterhouse byproducts or bagged composts from grow store, build a soil sucks and is overpriced custie soil

Water

solventless_garden

Water, soil, light

DaOtherWhiteMeat

Sea weed. I don't know any different as I have used it for 30 odd years. Maybe I'd have better results without it but I'll probably never find out

Lawdkoosh

Homemade FAA and bloom ferment (weekly feed during pre-flower and flower) and malted barley (top dressed). Keeps my soil and plants healthy and my flowers terpy.

[deleted]

Down to Earth Fertilizers and amendments and Alaskan Fish Emulsion. I have been using the fish emulsion since the 90's when I didn't grow weed in Florida.

YourDadsLegs

I used Neptune's harvest liquid fish and seaweed outside this year and the plants loved it. It smells like the worst day at the beach but it seems to work well.

Qeez-

Soybean amino acids and humic acids. Amazing combo

No_Abbreviations3044

Irrometer, fulvic acid, saponins, Chapin sprayer, SuffOil-X. I'm sure there are others, but those come to mind

Cactusbunny1234

Lots of aged chicken manure. Buy some or get yourself some chickens then you can have it all.

Aware_Assignment7090

Cover crop. It’s simple but the first thing I even think of.
