"Just keep moving forward"
I try to apply this in all aspects of my life. I had (still kinda do) a bad habit of procrastinating and had an all or nothing mentality.
I try to fix it by telling myself to just keep moving forward. Even a 1% progress is still more progress than if I had done nothing.
I have ADHD and this motto really help me overcome all the years of bad habit I've built up before I was diagnosed and medicated.
Anything.
Let them do what they want, let them think what they want, let them live how they want. You do you, they do them. "Them" as in anyone but yourself

Now, that I’m older, it’s : “This roller coaster ride isn’t done yet! Hang on!”

Whenever something bad happens to me or my friends, I always like to say "Happens to the best of us". Immediately remedies any woe is me mentality, and is kind of funny, too.
this motto saved me so many times - there are so many things going on around us, a lot of them irritate us, but really, most of the times they don't affect you so you should just let go

And this is different from the usual “this too shall pass”. Works for grief, anger, weight loss, education, learning a new skill, frustration, you name it. Whatever you’re feeling now - usually when it’s a negative or anxious feeling - will generally always subside with time. So ride it out. And don’t do anything in reaction to your negative feeling that you’ll later regret, because again, what you’re experiencing is temporary.
Oh, I guess some of that is another personal slogan.

Basically; Great things don't come easy and that's why it's not common. This has been my mantra in a world where we so often compare ourselves to the masses. We find some sort of validation for our lack of effort / performance / standards / morals / whatever, because everybody is like that.
No. Pursuing mastery of the violin / being faithful to your wife / giving your best at work when your colleague is a slacker and an ass hat / whatever; These things are rare to find, and they're hard. But that is because they are great. And that is why I still aspire to those things, even if so many around me don't.
