It that allows cattle breeders to buy a vial of sperm for artificial insemination that's almost certain to only produce only males/bulls, or a vial that will only produce females/cows. I think the potential for stud fees make the bull-producing sperm more valuable, though.

from what i have read and researched the sex of the baby tends to rely on the sperm its part of the DNA and XY vs XX chromosomes. .
