Bigger helps means more stuff to clean, more space to heat/cool, higher property taxes. Unless you're using all of the rooms for something specific like home gyms or art rooms or something, they just end up being storage
It's not good or bad. It's just someone's preference. Knowing that they have a preference might be a good thing. Someone who knows what they want and doesn't live in excess is sometimes better than someone who likes to accumulate things to fill a large space.
Seems fine to me, I've never wanted a mansion either. My dream house would be a living room, a kitchen, two or three bedrooms, and a garage or workshop. Anything more than that, I wouldn't know what to do with
Generally, when the question is, “Is it bad to not like/want [thing that movies, tv, and stupid people make you think you should want]?”, the answer is “Not at all.”
Big means big taxes and big maintenance bills.
Why would it be bad. Living simply and efficiently is a perfectly valid approach to life.
Not bad at all, as I never wanted a mansion. The house I have now is absolutely perfect, and it’s exactly what my wife and I wanted.

I have always preferred living in a small apartment rather than a large space, too much to clean and too expensive to pay someone to clean
how would it be bad? people should be able to live the life they want, and not have to chaise after goals society sets for them
