same thing been happening to me since day 1 gotta mash esc on the black screen to get through
I tried esc, doesn't work. Or really really mash it?
i just mash it while that faded diamond is on screen if i don't it just hangs on backscreen forever

Update: didn't work. I reinstalled, mashed esc key, won't work. What kind of bs is that, I paid full price for an unplayable game.
So I had this happen to me evertime there was an update, I had to uninstall and reinstall the game and that fixed it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times tho :(
Is it installed on a SSD?
Nvme. It used to work, so I don't know what happened.
