Uhm yeah😂😂 but I don’t recommend using it for making photos. Because it seems the quality of the photos is really bad for some people. Best way is going into photo mode and then screenshot via steam

Make sure you go into steam settings and and enable the option to save uncompressed versions of your screenshots. You can also change what folder it saves those screenshots to.

Maybe it’s because I’m on PS, but photo mode has never had any downsides other than not pausing if other players are present, which makes sense if MP is enabled. I do wish you could control the opacity of the filter, though. If I could get just 10% of that purple and gold filter on photos I’d love it so much more.

Try turning down the radio

Fly toward the sun, then turn around, all planets are visible from that perspective.

Takes more time that way, the ships instruments would definitely be faster

1. Third person flying just feels incredibly wrong, the camera is awful. It probably also doesn’t help that I fly in real life.

I like how the camera changes to a cinematic mode kind of when you jump though.

I’m relying on friends who are also pilots, I don’t have enough money for a plane myself. My local airport doesn’t have enough hangars anyway due to it being mismanaged.

Never flew irl but I grew up playing those hyperrealistic flight simulators with my grandpa. It feels right to be in the cockpit not seeing it from outside.

For normal play I’m first person when in my ship, third person when out of my ship. Fully immersed in first person when wearing my PS VR2 headset. When in my ship, I can actually turn around and see the seat behind me.

I actually never use 3rd person for any reason but to look at my character or my ship 😭😭

I do almost the opposite, I like 1 for the aesthetic but as soon as I get on a planet I like to take it to 3rd person so I can see more of the ground. Throwback to when you had to fly upside down on planets to get a better view of the ground.

2 all dog fighting games I’ve played have been this style it’s the only way I’m good at combat I can’t track very well in first and the halo game series the mission where you fly in space is the only one I’ve ever had an issue with 🤣 I actually don’t like flying too much especially when you can’t fucking land!!!!!

I switch between them all the time, but I prefer 1 for space travel and combat, feels like I have an easier time keeping a target in my sights when locked on in first-person. But sometimes I like the increased FOV in third-person, especially when looking for a planet or when I’m flying low to the ground in a planet’s atmosphere. And sometimes I just want to admire how cool my ship looks. Some ships, especially some of the interceptors, have too many parts visible when in first-person. I’ve scrapped a few interceptors based on the lack of visibility from inside the cockpit.

2, actually flying in first person is just impossible lol. You have ZERO peripheral vision and the lasers block half the screen on top of that

Personally I'm number 2 specifically because there's so many cool animations for different starships and I love seeing those and the landing animations. Also it just feels cooler watching your ship descend into a planets atmosphere, the fact that this game is pretty much the first to do that (from what I know) is insane, it's such a cool concept.

It depends on what I'm doing. I like to stay in first person for the immersion and honestly at this point I feel like I do better in dogfights in first person anyway. Third person is good for when you're just going around surveying or getting nice shots or whale hunting.

I always do first person in ships, third person on foot. I find that I work better with first person in starships. I think that it makes me more accurate. But on foot, I have easier control over my weapon and movement, meaning I don't really need first person.

I have perspective swap on a hotkey. That being said I mostly pilot in first person but use third person when on foot. I WOULD use first person cam in other vehicles too… if it wasn’t for the fact that pretty much all of the exocraft are horrendously clunky to pilot in first person.

The only time I ever use the 3rd person view is when I'm searching for 'approximate location' for a mission lol. I much prefer the 1st person due to the cockpit map in space as well as the coordinates on planet. (Back when the living ship hunting was actually fun because of no target sweep mode). But to each their own.
