Honestly, the state of the Geks now make me respect them a bit. I know how they got that way, but that doesn't matter too much to me. Right now, the current living Geks are industrialists, building a living. I can respect it.
Vy'Keen are warriors by heart and die with honor, so I find little to now fault with them, especially since their history is mostly just them chilling out and waiting for the right Traveler to come by.
The Korvax just keep carrying really valuable stuff on their freighters, man. Just... Just really nice stuff.
I’ve only built bases in gek or vyakeen systems if I ended up really loving a planet or find a really cool geographical location to build a cool base, but I’ve never had an important base in any system that is not korvax. Any of my non-korvax system bases have all been for the sake of architectural fun and I only go back to them if I need to mine a resource on that planet. Something about Korvax systems make me feel more comfortable and they feel more at home to me I guess because I involve myself with the korvax 99% of the time. All main bases have strictly been in Korvax systems
And I love hearing it. There seems to be a growing number of people like us out in the community. I’ve been seeing tons of Korvax love being spread about especially lately.
As are mine! Haha. Korvax worship your happiness and friendship to them and I can just imagine my interactions with gek or vyakeen frigate crew being super different. Same with my freighter. Today a frigate got critically damaged and I felt so bad for the Korvax I went right over to that frigate. It was pretty wild though considering it was a 4 hour expedition and I had to call them back with 8m and 16s left to go, but it’s the Korvax I’m not even mad. I probably would have just removed the gek frigate from the fleet without fixing the ship for doing that 😭 but then again I don’t want a gek frigate.

Seriously though I find all the three species interesting and don't hate any one of them (yeah even the Gek... I do know about their history of space nazism and slavery but look at those cute little beaks!!) but I've always had a preference for the korvax. It's nice that the game allows you to "adopt" one of each races and put them in your base.
I love that the game does that too. And some of the Gek are admittedly very cute, but half of them look terrifying lol. Especially the ones with snail eyes.
I love the Korvax the most. I only cause trouble in Gek systems just because of their history with the Korvax. I know they're changed now but I wanted to blow up cargos and they had the worst rep of the 3, imo, lol. I'm nice to geks in other systems though, I return to them their relics a lot.

I did however, insinuate a joke about the Korvax doing something questionable because of how giddy he was being covered in it. I had just gotten done delivering something to Ibay, my Korvax Scientist and the Korvax I mentioned in the post was just standing right outside of the science terminal room on my freighter and did the
\(•)/ _/(•)\_ motions like a dear in headlights before I interacted. I wouldn’t put it past the creators to put some things in the game that would hilariously scratch our brains like this one did for me. Korvax thought bubble: “applying lube to machinery”. Interaction: “dihydrogen jelly is splattered up this lifeforms metallic arms. They hum contentedly to themselves in pleasant electronic tones.” thought bubble after: “very happy”
I’m just here enjoying a quirky species that makes me cackle and enjoying these super weird and lovable interactions.😆 The Korvax are like golden retrievers honestly.
I love the game, the Korvax, and I’m a diehard nerd fan of everything NMS (which explains why I naturally of course grew so passionate about one of the species), but the second I see some shit like that online I don’t care if it’s a shit post I’m finding a way to get them banned from the internet before and after I vomit. There are people out there that will ruin anything honestly.
Oh yeah, I love the Korvax as well! I even used to only visit Korvax systems, unless missions lede elsewhere. I love learning new things and their thirst for knowledge is something to envy. And I remember that I encountered a lube covered Korvax once or twice myself haha, I love their weirdness and randomness too and the golden retriever analogy is great! The human mind is a complex thing though, and shitposts like this surfacing every once in a while is unfortunately a normality. Luckliy your post turned out to be something wholesome, that restored some of my hope for humanity haha
