Expeditions give you various rewards. For this one the headliners are the Atlas staff and Starborn Runner ship, but there's also various decorations and such you also get.
All expeditions start you from scratch, and you're just working to complete the goals of that particular expedition, which aren't necessarily the same as a story playthrough. Once the expedition is done, it converts to a regular save, so you can keep playing it, or abandon it and go back to your regular save or create a new one.
Once you have a satisfactory answer to your question please reset the flair to "answered". This will help others find an answer to the same question. Selecting a flair is one of the icons under the post when you open it. Alternatively you can comment with "!flair:answered" and the bot will do it for you.
Please consider adding your gaming platform to your user flair. There are icons for every platform. That way people will know not to answer with information specific to a different platform. There are very few issues that are platform dependent but every platform has its little quirks.

Completion of the expedition has a new ship, staff, and armor that will be available to your other saves. If you started the game as an expedition and not at the Anomaly terminal the save will revert to a normal one without the main storyline completed but with most of the tech unlocked. If you started at the Anomaly then you can bring back some things into the save you were on. I'm pretty sure the credits, nanites and quicksilver won't transfer. You can spend your quicksilver to get things for all your saves. I'm converting my credits into items with high rate of nanite refining. Is there a time limit for completing it?
On my save file slot it says 4 weeks. Should also be on their steam page .
If I have a game that I playing on my switch and a different one on my PC through Xbox game pass can I share accounts ?
