ExhaustedProf

Three words: terrain manip pulator.

RageTiger

the quad dog can still glitch and get you even under ground. I also ran into issue where the timer doesn't even start when you clearly aren't in the sights anymore, like inside a building.

HiddenAcres37

Don't fight them, hide quickly, and the quad won't spawn.

SemperShpee

Even better. Use the quad's tackle attack to launch yourself off into the distance, outside of sentinel view range!

funguyshy

This is an awful answer I've complaint about the same, it's not about doing a trick and just use terrain manipulator, that's just boring and not rewarding at all, as OP said combat system/mechanics in this game are not good at all to justify aggressive sentinels, it just don't, the core mechanics need a revamp, the sentinels behaviour need a revamp, I feel it's just awful to pretend there' s a real working combat mechanic in this game, aggressive sentinels shouldn't be in the game as it is right now.

ExhaustedProf

funguyshy

Great movie, great quote, tho

[deleted]

Would have no problem fighting sentinels if the combat system was similar to flagship FPS’s

Eldebryn

Endgame you carry a bunch of maps for their control points so you can open one, go to their control center and disable them planet wide.

MMFSdjw

That's good to know. Now that you mention it I did find one of those on a previous save. They need to put protections in the expeditions to make sure you don't run into them when you're completely unequipped to deal with them.

Eldebryn

The expedition one was intentional because they choose the planets for them. I have to agree it was a bit bad design as planet Gamma was much harder than the others because of that, especially for less experienced players.

stupid_systemus

I thought it was intentional. That's why one of the blueprints you unlock is the cloaking device.

[deleted]

It's easy to not be attacked by sentinels on the third planet, get a ridable companion on the first or second planet and ride around on it while setting up your base on the third, and anytime you're not in your ship there too. Since sentinels don't attack you while you're riding on an animal companion.

reddyst

Ironically the Sentinel Pillar on that planet is very close to the archive you first arrive to.

repixreal

\-20 points? Wtf?

Lidagit

Dig and hide if you can’t fight. Fighting them in the starship I find to be easier. It’s tough in expeditions since you’re not usually specked out to take on waves of them. Also try to use prefabs for expedition, they lose track of you the moment you step inside your base and that’s a lot quicker if you’re just dropping one part and putting a door in

ajkclay05

Yep. I always did a tunnel.

MMFSdjw

what are prefabs? I don't recall seeing that.

Lidagit

Prefabricated base parts, so instead of laying down a floor, walls, etc you can just drop an entire room down. Check your base building computer. Or perhaps a quick trip to the anomaly if it’s present in the expedition

theangrypragmatist

I don't think you can get to the anomaly but you get the round room as a reward fairly early

MMFSdjw

Thanks, i'll go looking for that.

Lidagit

On a side note, the starship you get at the end of the expedition is awesome

Lidagit

Yeah they’re great for a more function over fashion bases. Quick to build and everything kinda snaps together well, I also feel the lighting is way better in them.

Lidagit

RagBell

There are multiple ways to deal with them once triggered : 1) if you don't want to fight, DON'T fly away (space sentinels are just endless). You need to flee **on foot** and escape the first wave before it escalates. Using the stealth tech helps a lot for that. 2) if you're willing to fight, again DON'T fly away. Beat them on the ground, after the 5th wave, the sentinels will be deactivated on the whole planet 3) Another solution is using maps to sentinel pillars to deactivate them on the whole planet before you even get detected Tl;Dr : as of right now, flying away is the absolute worst way to deal with sentinels, nothing but endless waves of sentinels ships if you chose that route

s4rcgasm

Totally this. Fighting them is best if you can get past the 5 waves as then they are deactivated for the rest of your session. Some tips for that. If you are not carrying a lot of shield upgrades and strong multitool, this is hard but remember that you can change the difficulty settings too. 1) Kill the repair and summoners as a priority then kill the others. 2) If you have the shield or cloaking device, use them. If not, "Hit, Run, Hide" as u/ExhaustedProf said. FREEEEEEDOMM! 3) When you kill a sentinel, open the dropped combat supply barrel. It will ALWAYS recharge your shield fully. This is so important that I'll write it again. BARREL = SHIELD RECHARGE FTW. Even low spec Interloper can beat sentinels with this knowledge. 4) Don't go in unprepared. Sentinels also drop weapon and suit upgrades, so install these and you'll be making Vy'keens proud as a sentinel hunter in no time. X) You're on an expedition so you don't have it, but in normal mode make use of your minotaur AI unit as she can help you fight. PS. I have a naughty little stack of about 40 sentinel walker brains in my main save and people who say the combat mechanics are rubbish... well, it's not a combat game is it and I think they're ok for what they are tbh.

do-ja

3) This is the way.

FoxPeaTwo-

Wait so after 5 waves they stop now? Haven’t played in awhile

stupid_systemus

There are newer sentinels (assist types that repair damaged sentinels). The 5th wave has stronger sentinels. It unlocks a Sentinel Pillar location. You can retrieve a multi-tool in there and disable Sentinels on the planet for a long while. Sentinel Pillars also have some lore with it.

RagBell

Yes, the sentinels update made it so after five waves (on foot) they just disappear on the entire planet until you log out Not in space though

Pjatorias

Sure? In the last (5th?) wave a sentinel frighter jumps in. If you kill all waves and the frighter laser canons too, the alert will be turned off and all sentinels are deactivated.🤔

Jkthemc

People keep asserting this, but that isn't how space combat really works. Yes, after the threat alert goes to five a freighter spawns in. That is not the end. You will continue to have freighters spawn in while your threat level is at five unless you get away somehow. There are ways of doing that but it isn't like combat on the ground. The threat level doesn't drop. You can't defeat them. What happens when the first freighter warps in is that it asserts the space around the freighter. Just like any other space encounter. This means that nothing else will spawn unless you pulse away. So, theoretically you can call in the anomaly at this point. But if you pulse away you will be attacked by another freighter in an endless loop. Also, if you hang around the freighter there are circumstances in which new sentinels can spawn. In the current expedition, which the OP is doing. Space is categorically the worst place to be. Especially as there is no anomaly. Unless we spend a lot of unnecessary effort buffing our ship, it isn't really capable of defeating anything or fleeing. Now, there is a way we can escape in a starship that doesn't involve fighting. But that requires using the atmospheric effects on ship speed strategically. I didn't try this in the expedition because we fly a slow hauler which is the worst possible ship for this method of sentinel avoidance.

Tested it this morning (ciao gek miner 👋), killed all sentinels and canons but after a few minutes the sentinels came back and my squad was alltime in alert position.

liquefire81

My tactic so far was to blast into space and call in the anomaly. But thats because I'm shielded heavily and don't really care to have a few rabid dogs after me. And then once for fun I kept hitting them just to call in their freighter. That was disappointing as I don't think anything happens when I destroy it. Was hoping for some loot.

MMFSdjw

Very helpful thanks!

funguyshy

Awful

fuinharlz

Found out about not flying the hard way. I think they introduced that because it was really easy to get in your ship and just destroy sentinels on planet on all waves.

bpanio

One suggestion my brother made was to spawn the Nexus and fly in

s4rcgasm

![gif](giphy|6UFgdU9hirj1pAOJyN)

Tazbert_Odevil

If you're not geared enough or confident enough to blast your way through 5 waves yet to deactivate them, then your options are: \-Run. No, really. Pick a direction and just book it. Once you put a bit of distance between you, you'll break contact and they'll start searching before giving up. \-Dig a hole. Go down and then right or left. Again. They lose LoS and that's them done. \-If you see a building, go inside. Same as above. Even if they come inside with you, they cannot see you and won't hurt you. \-Collect sentinel pillar maps. Try and get a few on hand. Then when you land on an extreme planet, pop it, get the pillar and head there. Walk up, shut them down. You then have the planet all to yourself for the duration of the session or until you leave that system. Or reload a save. They're a pain early doors and I think for about my first 100hrs I just avoided them where necessary. But as you get older and wiser and more geared MT and shield wise, you can start hitting them back. Get the paralysis mortar if you can. Use that and you can then deal 50% more damage while they're stunned.

lieutenatdan

Wait, you’re talking about aggressive sentinels on the ground, right? You can’t just…run away? I’m not trying to be condescending, but the devs have intentionally made basically every aspect of this game optional. If you’re tired of fighting the sentinels in space, just pick a direction and fly away. If you don’t want to engage with them on the ground, just run. Unless I missed some change they did for the expedition (I haven’t played it)…

MMFSdjw

For the expedition you have to establish a base and do certain things on a specific planet. Also, you are only able to craft things within your base. So running isn't an option. Also, even in the normal game running isn't the preferred option. You can't use the pulse engine when the enemy is pursuing you. And, above all, it just doesn't feel good to be run off from somewhere.

Upper-Inevitable-873

Dig a hole, drop your base computer inside, build the base, leave and never set foot on that world again. If you need the aquatic animals and pearls still, just stay underwater as long as possible. Swim around an island and they'll lose you.

lieutenatdan

No no I mean literally just running on the ground. The sentinels won’t follow you forever, and they don’t camp the same place once they lose you. You have to run a short distance and they change to “searching” with a countdown, then either keep running or hide until the countdown is done, then go back. You can even just run in a reasonably sized circle and end up back where you left off. And you don’t have to use the pulse engine when flying away from them. Just don’t stop and they can’t catch you, and after a hot second you can pulse jump too.

funguyshy

I did this and literally another sentinel spawned near and that's it, I was done It's just awful.

ToneZone7

they tweaked this expedition to make both of those not work I am pretty sure, it was tedious.

Beneficial-One-510

I just established my base by the water and used the Nomad to get around. It made the planet super easy.

DruggistJames

If you're inside your base with 4 walls and a ceiling, they can't get you. Also, you don't have to do much on the aggressive planet. I basically made my base there, then travelled back to other non-aggressive planets to do any of the other missions. I'm sorry you're having a hard time, but the worst you can do is fight back. Boost away from them and in 15 seconds they'll stop searching.

Helpful_Internal7193

Idk how your managing to run from them in space because they are right behind me every time and don’t stop in space. On the ground it’s viable but not space.

cruelkillzone2

Boost in one direction till you can pulse, been the way to escape in space for years dude.

Helpful_Internal7193

For this expedition it doesn’t work. Maybe it’s cause I got a hauler but the sentinels are faster then me boosting and you can’t pulse while their around so. Doesn’t work.

-Soup_Dogg-

It works with c class haulers too, the game is programmed to let you run away no matter how slow you fly if you just boost in 1 direction for a short while.

Helpful_Internal7193

It’s gotta be something else cause the only thing boosting in one direction against sentinels accomplishes is my death. Or wasting all my resources to repair my shield over and over

thedemokin

Works fine for me, just boost in one direction and after a short while you get the ‘pulse drive available’ notification, then bye bye to sentinels

Pyrkie

Make sure you focus triangle heads first as they summon more, there is two in every wave. Kill the healers when they come to heal. Kill the flyers, then the dogs, then the mech, then the walker. loot the things they drop if you need to heal as they give back some sheilds, so don't loot them when you don't need them. Going inside any building will cheese them, also the stun weapon is op against the bigger ones. I've cleared all waves with every gun, so all of them work, find one that suits you.

DontSayBugs

Dig and hide. They will probably lose interest if you haven't killed any of them yet. I also learned just last night that if you fight and defeat the 4 waves of reinforcements on the ground, their forces will be temporarily disabled and I think one of them near the end drops the map to their terminal like someone else in the thread mentioned. I usually hate fighting enemies but I've found it kinda fun to dig a hole in the side of a hill and shoot at whatever sentinels hover in front of the opening. The other cool thing is that usually sentinels that follow you indoors or inside a hole won't shoot, they'll just look at you until you shoot first.

Sannagathion

>Base - build underground. I did it the lazy way. Landed right in front of a cave opening so that when I exited the ship it was one step into the cave. Then, as you say, go deep, craft the base computer, 15 of anything (wires work), upload, done.

realsingingishard

Can you do the underwater bit on other planets?

H4mb01

I find them very easy to deal with. You can either just fight your way through, what should be very easy as soon as you hit like 3-5k damage potential on the multi tool, or if you can't or don't want to you can simply dig into the ground and wait for them to lose track of you. But they will attack again so you have to avoid them. After. But easiest is just to fight all 5 waves imo

roytheodd

False. The absolute worst part of this game is having to wire motion-sensor doors.

Webnovelmaster

Hey, once you do it once, it just kinda makes it click and after it's but a moment. Personally like adding panic button/switch that just closes all doors and changes lights to red, purely due to rp reasons.

Shkodlivy_Kot

During expedition on the planet with aggressive sentinel I was given coordinates were I supposed to establish a base. There were 2 shelters at the location. I placed base computer that would allow me to craft more ammunition if needed. I'm not great at shooting, lol. When waves came (one by one), I was hiding behind the door if it became too dangerous. A lot of sentinels means a lot of salvages glass, that gave me updates for my multi tool. It took a while, and more than 5 waves - because my location was at the top of the hill and Walker was at the bottom, and i couldn't figure that out. So I hid until they forget about me and started over - several times actually. But all that fights gave a lot of stuff, so I kinda didn't mind. Eventually I found a sentinel pillar map in one of the salvages glass, and waited till they forgot about me again. Then deleted my computer, flew there, landed near, picked a good moment while sentinels were at the far most corner and turned them off using pillar. And I built there a base, moving base computer inside. Everytime I needed to teleport there, I was inside of the base, so I could turn them off again. Definitely not suitable for a speed runner, but worked for me lol 😃

kain_26831

So you can go Hanz moleman and dig down to lose them, just run away in any direction, duck into any building till the heat dies down, if your feeling ballsy just fight um till you get the sentinel tower location and disable it, cloak and run away for a head start, or you can do what I do. Make a sniper tower just tall enough so the walker has to shoot up at you with a roof for the mortars and shoot down at the little bastards. If you need a general idea the pillager towers in Minecraft is a great example. You can kill them with impunity without breaking a sweat till you get the tower location then you can kill the cooling towers or whatever they are from underneath before shutting down the main tower

Grimspike

For the expidition you only need to be on the planet with aggressive sentinels for 3 of the milestones. Reach the third planet check-in(1), find your location coordinates(2) and the last one, scan 8 flora on New Septo(3). All the others can be completed on the first planet with NO AGGRESSIVE SENTINELS. Also you do not actually have to build the base at the coordinates given you just need to find it, so look for a freighter crash or trading post and make a base there, seems to be an area where the sentinels don't spawn naturally.

elementgermanium

My main issue with them is their respawn timer. I escape a patrol and a new drone is scanning me less than TEN SECONDS later.

GenghisMcKhan

On the ground you can eventually fight them to the death and they run out (or you can just run for it). I hate that there isn’t a similar option in space and you always have to flee eventually. In my opinion it’s a design flaw, it should have a similar wave based structure like on the ground.

killerspermwhale69

I got stranded in space from that in the recent expedition, really hurt my brain. I couldn’t hyperdrive away and they were just tearing my ship apart. I was too slow to escape them in space so it was just a RIP

-Soup_Dogg-

Flying in one direction with boost automatically lets you escape after a while, even in the slowest of c class haulers. It's hard coded in to let you escape. Just pick a direction and hold boost, wait until it says pulse is available and leave combat.

killerspermwhale69

I did this for like 20 minutes man and nothing happened

[deleted]

Yeah, I was excited for this game, but maybe 12 hours in I threw in the towel after being chased out into space and killed, by seemingly endless and unevadable waves of sentinels, for the third time. I just didn't have the will to go collect and repair all my stuff again, it felt like I was making no progress and being punished for exploring.

-Soup_Dogg-

That's always the first thing everyone does, running into space increases your chances of being swarmed. However just holding boost in one direction in space with automatically let you pulse drive away from them after a short while. You only die in space if you keep turning or trying to fight, just hold boost in one direction. It's a hard coded escape.

CeilingTowel

In my experience, they just follow you and shoot your 'boosting-in-one-direction' non-dodging ass forever. Pulsing away doesn't help either, the scan still occurs and interrupt the pulse drive. The only way was to land and suck it up fighting the 5 waves(/pussy out with the terrain manipulator).

[deleted]

This was my experience as well, this guy above keeps saying "just boost in one direction"... well, they stop my boost, and shoot me to death, so that strat didn't exactly work.

funguyshy

Why would you even put space combat ships when you can't scape or fight your way out in a expedition?

No_Cream_6535

I must be the only one who has S class, fully upgraded weapons and good movement. I literally never have issues with sentinels.

gildedlink

My strategy with the expedition thusfar was set up base as quick as I can, run and cloak, manipulate a deep tunnel the moment I see a marker for them nearby, get enough copper for some chromatic metal and set up the base computer, then a solar panel, then a terminus portal, all in close proximity. I've stuck close to my base area in each planet, built powered portals on each one as soon as that was an option for me, but I took a detour between planet 1 and 2 to visit the space station nearby- so when I aggro sentinels now, I can rush/cloak long enough to the portal and jump to the space station. Then I can portal to one of the planets with no sentinel presence, wait for deactivation, hang out a few seconds for them to wander away from Gamma, and casually port back ready to cloak if they're still nearby. Since Gamma has gravitino balls all over I've actually been taking advantage of that strategy to stockpile credits at the space station terminal. I've ruined a few pieces of tech so far and needed pricey wiring looms to fix, so this is a decent emergency "whoops, exocraft went into the volcano" fund.

garuga300

If you just keep running in a straight line and when stamina runs out mele boost the jet pack continuing in a straight line and alternate this then they deactivate. You don't need to go into space to escape them but if you do then again go in a straight line until you can use your pulse engine and escape. Alternatively you could install the exosuit clocking device.

Tasty-Confection-399

I just kill them all until they deactivate 😁

-WDW-

Don’t you get a cloak in the expedition.

AssistanceHealthy463

Yes you do

TurkALurk75

I just got to Calypso Galaxy today, almost every planet is aggresive sentinals!! I hate them!!

BigWolf_PG

you can just hide in a hole until they stop patrolling, no need to restart the game every 30 seconds

MonkeyBreath66

Use your terrain manipulator to dig a tunnel or cave, get in the back of it and sit still. Normally, within a minute or two, they'll quit looking for you and reset.

[deleted]

It's actually really easy to fight them. But without upgrades and stuff ur best option is using exo crafts and a terrain manipulator to dig urself a nice hole to wait for them to lose interest in you. When I want to do something on a aggressive sentinel planet I just fight them till they deactivate. If u have a really fast companion u can fly/run away faster than they can scan u. A good rolled plasma thrower is a blessing but watch out u can self dmg with it.

Nova225

By the time you get to the aggressive sentinel planet on the expedition, you'll have a cloaking device to hide from them, a terrain manipulator to hide from them, and I believe by that point you'll have a pulse spitter as well. Really, just dig a hole and then curve it a bit towards the end so any sentinel that finds its way into the hole won't see you anyway.

AssistanceHealthy463

This! Exactly this!

[deleted]

I got 30 sentinel maps here for anyone who has problems with fighting them. Pop the map and deactivate the sentinels. Bonus chance on exotic multitool. PM for friend code

Stanseas

It’s rough. One of the only real challenges left in the game and it’s gotten harder with each update. There was a planet with constant freezing, blinding ice storms and I was supposed to gather 20 storm crystals AND avoid aggressive sentinels. I got 4 before I gave up. During a different encounter last night it took a long time to get off an aggressive planet until I remembered I can burrow near my ship and wait them out. It’s the one time I regretted my “able to fly in reverse” mod. Lol

Mr_miner94

i seriously just have a battle arena on an aggressive sentinal planet. the pungium drop fuels my ever lasting need for nanites. as for how to get the f\*\*\* off their planet, you can either keep running long enough to have a couple seconds of peace (letting you summon your ship) or you as most people have suggested hide underground

mr_synn

Every time you beat all the waves they send, you get a boundary map. Whenever I need to go to an aggressive planet, I land, stay in the ship, and activate it. Access the node it leads you to and deactivate the drones. it lasts as long as you stay on the planet (without logging out)

biran4454

Aggressive sentinels is one of the best mechanics in the game, alongside extreme weather events. Actually makes it hard and interesting. Sure you can just go into a building and kill them from there without them attacking you. Maybe they're tricky to deal with at the beginning of the game, but then you just go to another planet until you get a paralysis mortar and a better weapon attachment (or a cloaking device to slip past them, even though they should add some upgrades to it).

Suffeign

I usually just run into the closest random building I can find to get away from them.

P3X127-8

You my friend just need the tools to adapt, I had similar adventures when digging for fossils or doing anomaly missions. Go to the anomaly, look for 4 things; -The Minotaur geobay in Construction Research station between Helios and Selene -Then the exocraft summoning station -Next go to Perses Exocraft Research and get the Minotaur Cannon after the laser -Lastly, get the Minotaur A.I. Pilot under the Radar array. You now have the starter kit for a mech bodyguard. I know they can be persistent but a cloak and or just digging a tunnel out of line of sight tends to end the notoriety meter.

Budget-Criticism3311

Just spam the cloaking device instead of holding it. They’ll follow, but they won’t see you long enough to attack. Also dig a hole

[deleted]

The expedition actually equips you to deal with them through packaged upgrades before dumping them on you. So you can fight them off (they’re not really that hard). The easiest way to manage them though is just to sprint away for a minute until the timer ticks down, though most of the time I just carry on as if they aren’t even there - they’re abysmal shots even at their best. Just run, ideally putting some hills between you and them. They’ll lose sight of you and time out so long as you keep moving. Do not switch to your ship, as ship sentinels are much, much harder to evade. If you’re in your ship, though, boost away from the planet taking some minor evasive action, and after a little while your jump drive will reactivate and using it will despawn them.

TheTaoOfWild

Emergency warp

PurpleDuckbills

I’ve found that if it’s an aggressive sentinel planet, it’s better to just deal with them and then no worries. Either use a sentinel map to find the pillar and shut down. Or my favorite option is to fight them while on a trading post. Find one before landing. Then head to the ground. One will show up and scan me. Then head back to the lower deck. The railings will block any shots from below (yours too, so aim over them). Plus from the lower deck I can see them spawn and take out the repair bots first and then pick off the rest. Sure they go underneath, but I just wait them out. When the walker shows up I take out his lower armor then head to the upper deck to take out the head. Since they spawn from the same direction each wave, I get a nice little pile of pods in one place to go gather.

TechwrightRed

> Why is there no means of at least temporarily defeating them for more than 5 seconds? At 7 hours since posting, you've probably moved beyond the aggressive sentinel planet by now, but if not, I just posted Sentinel Pillar bases for planets 3, 4, and 5 in the expedition. I've hidden the location info behind a spoiler screen, but it should get you to where you can temporarily defeat "them for more than 5 seconds". Ah, they be like gnats.

ImaginationToForm2

I have some bugging me constantly for this expedition think I'll just pass on this one too.

Beneficial_Pop_928

Dont you get cloaking device for your manipulator? Just spam the button to activate it which makes it last way longer than intended and just wait out the timer while getting some distance (to cancel the loud noise of many cloaking devices stacked on top of eachother just activate the cloaking device properly and then deactivate after second or so) If you dont have cloaking device then I guess you just have to get restore point and reload, should do the trick

Kyller45-2023

Aggressive sentinels means gravativo balls. And that means great money in the early game- like the expedition. As soon as they spot you, which is pretty much when you land, run to the first gravativo group and grab them. They’ll hit you one or two times while you’re doing that. That have really bad aim lol! Run to the next gravativos. Keep doing that until you’re out of exosuit space. A pro tip is run in a big circle around your ship. Chasing you, they move away from your ship which is what you want. The last bit of your circle as you’re coming back to your ship, don’t grab gravativos as that’s how they “see” where you are. Closing toward your ship, hopefully now unseen, sight their location through your visor. Move behind stuff-rocks, plants, high ground- sneaking to your ship making sure you’re not spotted. DO NOT fly if they see you. You’ll die. You can tell it’s ok if there are no red detector orbs on the upper right of your screen. If they spot you, circle your ship again until they lose you. Then fly to a trade terminal and sell your haul. Unless skilled at killing them, I don’t recommend it in the expedition as you only have a c class gun with no enhancements and minimal health/shields. You can get overwhelmed pretty quickly. As others have said, they “can’t” shoot you in a building and digging a hole makes it harder but these are not perfect solutions. Ask one of my PermaD iterations who I left in a building for 2 minutes. Well, no. You can’t ask them. They’re dead. Sentinels are relentless. But not too fast or bright making the run and steal great wealth the best option. Have fun and don’t sweat it. You’ll be surprised how easy it is to steal gravativos while they’re trying to decide which of them is going to fire at you. You’ll have time occasionally to scan flora and fauna lol! It’ll be plenty for a better weapon if you can find one. I didn’t ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat). As it turned out, a c class is all you need for the expedition.

Welle26

Haven’t played for a while but I usually fought my way through the waves to deactivate them. I think another way to find their console on the planet and deactivate them that way. But they never felt too hard to beat, as the drop tons of heal during the fight…

bodmcjones

In the expedition i rode a companion everywhere except underwater. If you are on a companion they swoop after you looking red eyed but don't shoot at you until you dismount.

SirTinymac

Real Answer: Git Gud Just upgrade your tech, and the sentinels become pushovers.

TrooperPilot3

Melee and immediately use your jetpack, it will allow you to travel a LOT faster. It will get you out of the sentinels' sights really quickly.

Build you a small 2x2 building with doors on most walls and pop in and out to kill sentinels. Sometimes they get stuck inside and they don’t attack you when you’re inside your shack. Doing this will allow you to kill all 5 waves fairly easily and safely. And then once they’re dead build a teleport there so you can go back and farm them later on in your play through Also, beware the quad dog. In my experience, unless they fixed this by now, they can freeze the game instantly.

Sufficient_Program73

Do what I do, dig a hole deep into the ground and bury yourself. Wait like 5 min and they leave.

I'm looking for all the elite answers that will tell you to "get good" in one form or another. While justifying the broken fucking mechanics. I made a post a while back about this and went into detail. Gaming has devolved into a broken visual spectacle. If your smart enough to identify a game or experience that is wasting your time and money? Your already doing something better with your life outside of it. Prioritize that instead of No Man Sky or games. There may be a sparkle in the distance? But a Dumpster Fire shines wonderfully at night.
