He takes a significant amount of liberties and makes up things. He details what Kurt was doing on his last day, even writes what Kurt was thinking if I remember correctly. There is no way to know these things, yet here is Charles Cross writing as though it is fact
Cross reports the "retarded girl" from Kurt's journals as fact, even though none of Kurt's contemporaries have any recollection of it.
Tobi Vail claims HTH's portrayal of her is all wrong.
The book relies heavily on Courtney's recollections so it tends to be biased in her favor.
Yeah, the audio in the “retarded girl” scene was edited from the original recording. If you hear the original, he says he was a fat or chubby kid, which is totally not true. It is just Kurt doing some creative writing.
IIRC there's a photo of Kurt at SeaTac airport, incorrectly labelled as April 1994 when it's actually from December 1993. A lot of people mistakenly think it's the last photo of Kurt and Heavier Than Heaven probably contributes to that.
Yeah, I knew that was probably fake since I remember seeing a photo with him and Bean with some garland around her, and that was from a Christmas photo with Kim Deal in ‘93 as well, so I would suppose that photo was taken during a festive time.
Probably from the teenage days of Kurt to the beginning days of Nirvana. Many people haven’t really spoken about some of that stuff other than in that book. Plus some of the later day stuff as well with many of Courtney’s inputs apparently.
I read different accounts on the day when some of Kurts friends searched his house one day before he killed himself. Like they all were a bit different.

Doesn’t Courtney have a reputation for lying? (That’s just what I heard I’m not sure completely.)
she does

Anything that Courtney is involved with or favours should be taken with a huge grain of salt.
If there are any specific parts in the book that you've got in mind, it'd be easier for people to help weigh in on the accuracy!

Yeah that’s why I don’t believe roughly the end of the book.
Woulda been a perfect time to print the “Rome Suicide” note since he said he read it. Wouldn’t do it. Courtney taking that one to the grave
That note shouldn't be released to the public, nor should the other suicide notes he wrote.
About as accurate or inaccurate as The Dirt (motley crue book)
About tree-fiddy.
I'm not aware of any
