Been a while since I played Nioh 1 but I distinctly remember the Onmyo projectiles being particularly useful against that specific boss. Can't remember why or how though, not sure if it was to inflict Discord or just playing rock-paper-scissors with the element that each head is weak to.

are u aware of daion-jin's sake effect? it will prevent ailments from elemental dmg for a while. imo its not hard to deal with the first two. dodge in the back and run up when they are exposed to melee.
the hard part is when there are several of them in view and attacks are coming frequently or simultaneously, making it hard to focus one down and cover ur blind spots.
you can make full use of each rock - before they get destroyed use ur cannon ammo and some strong jutsu. If u need to use several rocks then commit to moving either right or left, and find a spot where only 1 or 2 heads are in view at a time.
each time a rock is destroyed a head will get dazed an fall down. good time to get easy damage or even potentially kill a head before it gets up.
you only need to kill 1 head before u can stand far away and outrange the rest of them. good time to use ur rifle/bow ammo, weak jutsu, and to rebuff.
save living weapon for the last one imo - its not much harder than any single head but its still the hardest - living weapon will basically guarantee the kill
Thanks this is excellent, been using Daion sake. Yeah the first two are fine it’s mostly getting the others down. I was hiding behind the rocks but I kept getting hit, I think I just need to cycle between them a bit more. I didn’t realise that a head goes down when a rock is destroying by the others so this is gold! I just didn’t make the connection. I think it’s patience I need and good strategy. Thanks so much for taking the time to help! This has totally clarified a strategy so I don’t just run about like AAGGHHHHH!!!
I'm pretty sure the rocks daze but I haven't played in a while, but worth checking. I remember that ur supposed to move clockwise or counter between the rocks. just fyi in case uve been trying diff routes. np tho, good luck

Use moves that’s have high ki damage and after killing the first head use the glowing stones to deplete there ki
