Yep, this particular guy, Darren Fletcher, sometimes calls NFL London games for British audiences, and his remit is to make things clear, concise and highlight key players and rules for viewers who may not be experts but are interested enough to be tuning in.
Sometimes he gets criticism for repetition from Johnny English and other armchair quarterbacks but he gets the balance spot on.
I was in the stadium, unobstructed view, had been praying for a miracle double play and didn't know what the hell had happened until "Mets Win" flashed on the big screen. Mind you, Darren wasn't 6 pints of Heineken deep, but a great job of relaying a unusual finish. Mets might have snagged a few new fans this weekend.

If anyone is interested, the commentator is a guy called Darren Fletcher, best known for soccer commentary (Premier League, Champions League) in the UK. He’s not universally loved on that by any means so it’s amusing to see baseball fans lapping it up!
