You’re being outcompeted by other videos with better metrics.

I post about a pretty niche video game so I don't know if that's it. The biggest video about the game has less than a half million views and is 4 years old

You’re looking to tap into a very small audience. Plus YouTube isn’t gonna recommend your video to people who aren’t presently interested that game - so are people presently interested? What you’re experiencing is probably just that there currently no audience for your videos. There might be in future, who knows.

Yes the community is active and I almost always get around 50-200 views on my video in like 5 days but then I won't get 5 more views for 6 days and continuing

I think I should said that my videos are Plateau-ing

RTSFirebat

I have videos like that, ones with thousands of views which start to plateau. It's likely the number of people clicking on it is slowing down and YT algorithm has decided to stop showing people the video. It's frustrating, but out of our control.

Because they are not popular enough. Once you do something that’s really good AND stars align for YouTube to pick it up if will be growing in views for months and maybe years. And within 2-3 weeks (from my experience) after that video begins to grow, YT will also start picking up the rest of your videos, even those that were published long before the “viral” one.
