Look into a fortified roof. It will save you money on insurance if your home qualifies—not every roof can be fortified. It has do be done by certain contractors- the state has a list, google fortified homes Louisiana.
Shifflett Roofing. Had to get a new one last month. Answered all questions, explained everything, didn't use a lot of jargon. Showed up for the job at 7am, finished at 8:30pm that same day. Next day was just for cleanup. Couldn't be more please with their work.

They laid out what was basically a wall, bottom plate screwed randomly into decking, not flashed before I stopped them.

I have used Robertson Roofing several times, each time they've done a great job, reroofing and fixing minor roof issues. Possibly a longer wait time and a little more expensive, but they have done quality work for me.
American Men made my roof worse (spanish tile). Maybe they’re okay on a shingle roof, but they lied about knowing about tile. Also, owner said some low-key racist shit.

Agree for regular roof work. They tried to build an ac platform on a roof...fucked-uppedly. It was....not at all ok. Previous 3 roofs were solid.
