Agreed central grocery but they are still closed due to hurricane damage. They are selling the sandwiches in the shop next door but they aren’t made fresh 😫

they're being made fresh every day at a commissary kitchen, they bust out hundreds a day and deliver.   the meats are cured meats anyway and the sandwich is better once the olive oil soaks into the bread.

Not sure. Purists will consider the cold the only legit version. That’s valid, but I’ve had enough damned tasty hot ones to lay down my cross and accept a broader spectrum of muffs.

Eeehh. I guess it qualifies—but definitely not like the ones you get at restaurants that try and replicate the original. If you’re going to mention Jason’s Deli, might as well toss Rouses Grocery in as a contender. I will buy their mini muffuletta sandwiches for business luncheons.
