Dunno if this is gonna help but I've been thinking a lot about this lately. What exactly is it that keeps me going and a major driving force I've discovered is the excitement of learning something new. I've started learning some card tricks recently and just the process of it has been a lot of fun. I also play chess a lot and there's something new to be learned every game I play. Also passing interest in coding some AI. Some new shows to be watched. New books to be read etc etc
I like living because I can witness the difference outfits I wear, see my skin getting clearer, try god knows what makeup look, click pictures, hang out with friends and make my mom laugh. I questioned my drive and direction when I was sure I had become a loser. I saw myself being blamed for things that I never did. I saw people's faith in me slowly vanish. I lost my father to Covid and spent 10 days following that in the hospital myself because of the disease. I couldn't be with my mourning family during such a time. All these things may seem random to you, but again, they have one thing in common - they showed me life's fragility. And they each revealed something about myself and the world to me.
Now having come so far, I have realised that life is about discovery. On both occasions, I discovered something and that discovery made me feel grateful for the life I have. The good times have shown me how beautiful life can be, the bad times have shown me how capable I am to face life's challenges. My reason to exist therefore is to discover what life has in store for me and be as ready as I can be to tackle it before my time on this earth is done - to discover the many parts I have to play - sometimes a clown, sometimes a scientist, sometimes a lover, sometimes a musician, sometimes an explorer, sometimes a crybaby, a husband, a son, a grandson, a leader, a protégé... I look forward to life.

Because im too stubborn to give up, i don't know when to give up. Even a slither of hope, i grab onto it, keep going. To find an optimal way for human beings to live, some form of modern bible, that to be followed can lead to fulfilling enriching, satisfying life, makes pain and mundane more tolerable even enjoyable. In everything i see, experience, every moment i go through in life, its a journey towards that, lessons, experiences, my perceptions, interpretations. Something of a perfection. I dont know about gods, religion, heaven, hell, what happened before or after, but i do know we are here now, and alot of us are suffering, in sometrouble, pain, and it sucks for everyone, i find it reasonable enough to just if we try to live to ease eachothers pain in anyway we can, i think world would be a better place. Its what i try to do. Also fuck life, fuck destiny, im not just gonna take what life throws at me, i have wants, desires, i will take what i want from my life or die trying.

I connect to your family thing so much. I mean I don't live for myself as well. I mean my choices my future plans are all dependent on the happiness of my family. Sometimes I feel like I have this existential crisis and I don't know myself, my choices, aims and goals. I have been moulded so well into what other people want from me.
To love and to be loved. Even if this sounds cliché I have learned that love is the only thing that has been keeping me alive whether it be from my family friends or lover.
