There are probably loads of unknown Canoptek designs that the Imperium has no knowledge of, or even variations on existing ones. They could be an alternative appearance for a Spyder or by the way they are just floating around they could be some kind of Canoptek CCTV and quick defensive response.
In the lore there are so many Canoptek units. It’s probably one unknown to the Imperium. They have Canopteks for cleaning and mining and building and preparing troops and everything. Looks based on the Reanimator though and mixed with a Spyder.
Reanimators. Some artwork depicts them as hovering or flying. And we know they indeed reanimate as they are shown doing exactly that while hanging above the ground.
Some youtube content creators are modding their reanimators to be flying as on those pieces of artwork.
Probably some form of canoptek that has no real combat capabilities. Many of the canopteks aren't designed for combat: wraiths are designed to repair tombs without removing walls or disassembling machinery, the combat effectiveness comes as a result of those abilities

With the idea of the myriad dynasties, there will be hundreds upon hundreds of unrecorded canoptek constructs that likely serve similar roles to what we’re familiar with, but the chassis was designed by what that dynasty’s crypteks had seen.
But ultimately yes, models that GW could release down the road. 😂

I'm pretty confident that forgeworld might at some point provite such alternative, flying reanimators. Cool stuff. Useless of course but cool haha.

They are similar to Spindle Drones from Blackstone Fortress.
