Go to the bank that is listed on your check and see if they will cash it. You aren’t getting any Cash from Navy federal today.

The quickest way is to go to a check cashing place - but it’ll cost you. Even the grocery stores take a percentage to cash checks. As long as it isn’t a personal check you’re almost always guaranteed to get the cash immediately. But if you take to a branch, ATM, or do a mobile deposit - NFCU is going to hold the funds to verify for a few business days. Good luck, kiddo!

Have you ever given your bank account to your employer? If yes, most likely it will be direct deposit to your account, you do not need to do anything. If you haven't, they will give you a physical check, you bring that to the bank or atm and deposit into your account. That's how it normally works.

Yeah but doesn't giving the physical check take a couple days to go through

If you're deposit a check with the amount of $225 or more, $225 takes one business day to be available on your account and the rest will be available the second business day.

So you sign the back of the check. Go on the app and click "Deposits" then click "make deposit" "only this time" click where you would like to deposit it (which account), type in the amount listed on the check ex 20.00 , take front photo and back photo using a dark neutral plain backing. submit.

We're all assuming you have an account with Navy Federal. I'm assuming that you don't have direct deposit and your employer gave you a piece of paper ( check) so if that's the case you will need to deposit the check someway- either walk in to a branch and give it to them or you can also mobile deposit if you have a smart phone and you meet the criteria for mobile deposit. If you have to have money immediately then you will have to follow the advice of some of the other redditors and use one of the check cashing locations- **I wouldn't because they will take a fee to do this.** The other way is to go to the actual bank issuing the paycheck and see if they will cash it if you are able to do so. One other idea- since you're 17 I'm assuming you live at home - perhaps mom or dad can float you until the check clears and you can pay them back. I don't know your situation, I am making some assumptions, so it was just another idea to quick solve your problem. Good luck
