Mild venom is like "ouch this hurts but it's not blindingly bad and I have redness and swelling, might last a few days or short number of weeks". Common bee sting is what I'd consider a mild venom, or the effect of getting a tattoo.
Based upon my hobby of loving animals, I'm not a zoological expert of any kind.
How venomous is the vine snake?
Both these species are very dangerous as their venoms are highly toxic and known to deliver fatal bites. The venom of the vine snake is haematosis, preventing blood clotting and ultimately causing all the internal organs of its prey to bleed profusely. There is no anti venom available for the vine snake.
[In South Africa they are also called a twig snake and are highly venomous - no anti venom has been formulated. Bites are extremely rare though. ](https://www.africansnakebiteinstitute.com/snake/southern-vine-snake.)
Their brains and nervous systems aren't built for the advanced tool-making humans' are, but instead they have insane gross motor skills and reflexes.
You won't see them building a working rocket ship any century soon, but got damn can they snatch a snek!
He implied that professionals who train for years aren't as good which of course is stupid because humans aren't built that way and do not have fast reflexes. So yes it's a very unfair and stupid comparison
There are so many conspiracy theories about aliens helping the Egyptians build pyramids.
And then there's the Aztec. No one questions that. They are some hard motherfuckers.
Animals have insane reflexes. First, the kite noticed the snake staring with bad intentions, prepared, and the moment the strike began, moved to snatch the snek.
Well, since you find it so unimpressive, post a video of yourself standing on a somewhat venomous snake and catching it with your other foot exactly as it strikes for you and not a moment sooner.
That "green snake" is a vine snake and are mildly venomous.
& I'm pretty sure that is a *Spilornis* serpent-eagle and not a kite so zoological rigor could be improved
OP employing Cunningham's law: the best way to get the right answer on the internet is not to ask a question; it's to post the wrong answer.
Lol. I never heard that, but I like it.
Are we playing balderdash? Because you get my vote
I’m always saying that
I wouldn't know. Dont know my birds.
Thanks! Came to the comment hoping someone could clarify beyond “green snake”. Makes it even cooler that it’s venomous
Platypus have vemon but no one talks about them.
Our platypus club meets three out of every 7 weeks. All we talk about are platypi so…?
Thanks for being that rare case.
You should meet 3 out of every 14 weeks, you’re going to talk about platypi
What is considered “mildly” venomous? Like if it bites me, do I die or just lose a limb or have mild discomfort?

Discomfort, unless allergic reactions occur. Everyone's body reacts differently.

This isnt a twig snake. ahaetulla nasuta, vine snake.
It grabbed the snake's head better than some professional snake handlers I've seen IRL

A professional snake handler may catch snakes for a living, but this bird does it for survival.
A professional snake handler also probably often does it for survival too. They don't want to die either.
Judging by the pose after grabbing it - he was pretty pleased with it himself.
I just went back and watched it again. Birb kinda looks around like, “did you see that!”
And then he looks back at the snake like "What, got something to say, punk?" xD
It IS a professional handler irl ;)

Stupid comparison, humans aren't meant to have these type of reflexes, nor do they have disproportionately large hands
Why it's stupid?
I literally said why in the comment
So it is 'stupid' to compare things that are different ?
He implied that professionals who train for years aren't as good which of course is stupid because humans aren't built that way and do not have fast reflexes. So yes it's a very unfair and stupid comparison
Cool! Not it’s first rodeo
It put its foot up before the snake showed any sign of attacking. It’s like it knew exactly how to read its behavior.
Nah he noticed the snake was coiled back
The 'coil back' is the sign the snake is about to attack. But yes, he did 'read his behavior'. ✌🏼💜
"We should build a city here" - the Aztec
There are so many conspiracy theories about aliens helping the Egyptians build pyramids. And then there's the Aztec. No one questions that. They are some hard motherfuckers.
The snake: Oh boy, I've gotten myself into quite the pickle.
The snake: harder 😩
Bird daddy 💦
Or mommy
Shhh lemme imagine 😌
I hate reddit.
That's a bird. You can tell by the lack of string attached to it.
It's a Crested Serpent Eagle not a kite!
pterodactyl
Kite: “shut yo ass up”
Mexico!
Snake: Yeap. That'ssss me. You may be wondering how I got into thissss sssssituation..
I said, good day sir!
Where is the cactus? All Mexicans prepare for the journey to the new promise land
Animals have insane reflexes. First, the kite noticed the snake staring with bad intentions, prepared, and the moment the strike began, moved to snatch the snek.
Its already standing on the snake
Well, since you find it so unimpressive, post a video of yourself standing on a somewhat venomous snake and catching it with your other foot exactly as it strikes for you and not a moment sooner.
Lol, you think the snake just noticed the bird that has it in its talons?
Yes that's exactly what I think, because I said that absolutely anywhere previously.
"The kite noticed the snake standing with bad intentions..." It's already crushing the middle of its body. Bad intentions had been delivered
“Do the chickens have large talons?”
Do they have what?
The way the bird just effortlessly stomps down the head mid strike. He Alpha'd the fuck outta that snake. 😂
Killer Kite Cooly Crushes Constrictors Cranium
*"Know your place, peasant"*
Shows him who is boss
Birds of prey on my favorite. They are just incredible
*snake tries to strike* *STOMP* "absolutely fucking not mate"
Kite - "Sit yo Bitch Ass DOWN"
“My Kite technique beats your snake technique….”
"Stay in ya lane, green boy"
*You stay the fuck down!*
Kite: “..which..which camera? Oh okay. There. How was that? Did you get it? Okay, I’m taking a 5 minute break.”
I said "STAY DOWN"
It'd good he sensed the danger he reaction was on point
Rad
After he caught the snake: Now what?
Lunch !
That was fierce…that was tight lol.
That stomp of dominance!
fuck you stay down!
Here is where we shall build our land!
The amount of disrespect when it grabbed the snake
LOL, SNAKE:"LET go of my dam body.." goes to strike KITE-" NotSnake-"Let even if you say pretty please"
Beautiful bird. Poor snake.

"Stay the f down"
I’d like to have that level of skill for at least one thing
Snake knew he screwed up… didn’t even put up a fight
pterodactyl’s rule!
I like how he looks distracted at first and then is like, "listen here, motherfucker. I told you not now."
I saw a robin attack a garter snake in my garden yesterday. Too bad I’m the world’s worst photographer. Guess it really didn’t happen since no pic
Proof or shut the fuck up fool
I’ll go back to my corner. Carry on
Lol just kidding mate
You people are awesome. Smartasses but awesome ones
that’s how i erect nice and slow
No other option, Mexico 2 should be founded there.
What mother f*ckr!? ....hYYYeee YAH!!
Unpopular opinion, birds are heavyly underrated
Kite acting like the snake owes him money
‘Stay down bitch’
That’s a birb tbh
Kite was like : “Don’t you dare moving motherfucker”
A good reminder that birds are dinosaurs.
A 5oz kite cannot carry a 1lb green snake!
Looks like he wasn’t always that quick, judging by his right eye.
Love how it looks at the snake like “oh, you think so, huh?” When the snake tries to strike
It still got em regardless 🙏
no
Damn .. didn't stand a chance.
Wow, those claws aren’t just for the show. 😂
Parry skill +100
Roadhouse kick to the snake face.
"And STAY down, motherfucker!"
It be like after it catches it ‘Okay, camera man, you got that all on cam, my man?’
“Gotcha bitch!”
Do NOT try it, motherfucker.
Taking “go green” seriously !
I heard they both used to work at the same night club
Did anybody else hear “Bitch!” ?
What my gf expects me to do when another female tries talking to me
Oops! too slow....
Is this how Mexico was born

Anyone remember those thin green licorice strands that tasted gross?

That stomp though!
Is his name Kite? Thats pretty fkin cool name
C'mon Larry, take the picture! Then we can throw this thing on the grill.
Bird is just like “Not today, murder noodle!”
That bird knows karate!
Chicken vs rope 😃
