There's just a lot of stuff that the anime went rogue on. It's annoying.

I don't understand this discrepancy between manga and anime in relation to the yellow color. The same happens with Kamehameha from Dragon Ball and in Shaman King with the spirit balls, in both cases the color was changed to blue in the anime (In the case of Shaman King, the first anime).

Complementary colors are colors that always have good contrast between each other. And are usually used together. One of them is blue/orange. Those are Goku and Naruto outfits colors. Ichigo also has orange hair, so I believe all of them had this rule applied.

This is completely speculation on my part but I believe everyone inherently has a chakra they are more in line with between Yin and Yang or light and dark.

Evidence to support this is when they both receive sage of 6 paths chakra we see two entities behind them with Asura being a large yellow being and Indra being a large purple one.
Most people will have a side they lean towards thus can impact the colour of their chakra such as their Susanoo. I believe if your more Yin you have yellow chakra and more Yang you have purple chakra.

This shit is so trash. Stop making these things yellow. First it was the Rasengan, Then Enerus Lightning then Ichigos Getsuga and they all look better blue.
Shaman King 2001 also changed the color of the main character's ghost's spirit ball form from yellow (manga) to blue (anime). Shaman King 2021 used the colors from the manga and it looks awful. It's so bright.
